The Social Experiment Kindle Edition

3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 846 ratings

Cosmopolitan Magazine calls Addison's books, "...easy, frothy fun!"

Two Strangers. Six Weeks. The social experiment says the odds are in their favor, Rowen and Sophie says they aren’t.

From New York Times, USA TODAY, & Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Addison Moore.

*Romantic Comedy*
Rowen Garret is a jerk of the highest order. I knew signing up for some experimental dating experience would not pan out to be a good thing, but after kissing a stranger in the dark for five solid savory minutes only to have the lights come on and expose him for the jerk he is, I have the sudden urge to strangle my new roommate who talked me into this nightmare.

Sophie Meyer is a handful. I should know, I hung out in her living room for so long I became a fixture. But that was when her older brother, Braden, and I actually got along, before he snatched my long time girlfriend out from underneath me and stopped speaking to me as if I were the one who hijacked his life. And now here I am with his feisty little sister in my arms, her face lit up in horror at the thought of what we’ve just done. I would never kiss Sophie Meyer under normal circumstances, never even entertain the thought. Nope, this was a bad idea through and through. This is one social experiment I never want to think about again. But one thing is for sure. I will never forget that kiss.

Well once again Addison Moore has done it again! She creates the best new adult romance books ever! I swear I have a couple dozen book boyfriends just from Addison Moores books!

Sophie ...I love this character! She is a freshman at college who is just trying to complete college with a couple of friends. She doesn't expect to get involved with the social experiment on campus, but friends will get you to do just about anything. Including going back to round two of the social experiment after sharing a searing hot kiss with no one other than her brothers old bff, and her first crush who she never has gotten over.

Rowen ... current new book boyfriend (but don't get too attached because they change on a weekly basis)... He is hot, hot, hot! The college stud who once knew Sophie, but had a fall out with her brother all over some skanky girl. You learn all about the truth between Sophies brother, Rowen, and they skanky girl and it has you feeling sorry and happy at the same time for Rowen.

Oh yes this book is amazing. You really get to have everything in one book from revenge, to love! Or is it really love when you fall in love with your bff's little sister?

This was a great read and kept me hooked from the start! If you like the 3:AM series or the Low, Down, & Dirty series, then I highly recommend this book for you. Addison Moore never disappoints. I am looking forward to the next book and hope it has to do with Rowen's sister and his bff, or Lane and Vi!

First, I want to say that the book only goes to 53%. I don't understand why the author or someone can't put that in the description.

The book is good. I really liked it but I thought the end of the book felt rushed. There are stories that could have been told or finished. Sophie's roommates, their stories could have been told more. More of the brother and girlfriend story could have been told more. How the father meet his girlfriend. I get that the story was about Rowen and Sophie, but you had 47% more you could have written instead of putting 2 partial books in there.

The social experiment is a bit too experimental. The format of the college experiment turned reality show was not done well which is a shame. It really serves no purpose but to let the characters go on dates. This could have just been one event instead of the entire plot. Would have made for better reading

However Addison Moore writes good characters. Rowen and Sophie are great together. They also make for pretty good characters. Sense of humor. Check. Witty Banter Check. History Between the two Check. They make it easy to read their dialogue. The way their history is explained is clean and efficient without annoying Flash backs.

However, Mindy and Braden, the side characters need a little more tender loving care. They fall a bit flat.

Give it a chance, the characters are good, the plot okay.

On the first day of the social experiment, Sophie is supposed to kiss a stranger for 5 minutes in the dark.

She didn't expect it to be so... good. But that doesn't matter once she sees who she made out with, Rowen. She use to have the biggest crush on him, but then he and his brother had a falling out.

No matter how much they both say they hate it, they continue on with the experiment, falling more for each other every time.

It's such a fun book, and I smiled all the way through. The chemistry between the main characters is of the chart and the is just enough family/friends drama to keep the tension. I read it in one sitting and it hasn't escaped my mind ever since.

This was an enjoyable read. Social experiment with a twist of reality tv. Former friends are paired up for a social experiment at college. He is the star quarterback and her brother's ex-best friend. She had a crush on him til there was a falling out with her brother over a girlfriend. One thing leads to another and the experiment is a hit. They fall for each other, families find out, no one is happy, and fights ensue but in the end a happily ever after.

This book was very frustrating. In what world does your brother dating his best friends Ex mean the best friend was in the wrong. Also why did the brother hate Rowen so much then at the end all is good... they didn’t even really talk it out.

I found the book interesting because I liked the characters though I wonder why Sophie never questioned and thought it was strange that her brother started dating his best friends girlfriend a day after they broke-up. She did not even like the girl or trust her, so I do not see her taking sides. How did she not see Rowen for two years? How could he just vanish all of a sudden?

Rowen Garret and Sophie Meyer had a history since childhood before they both were roped into The Social Experiment being conducted on campus. Rowen is the star quarterback, a player with a reputation and Sophie is a freshman that loves books more than socializing.

They both have a lot in common about how they feel for one another and three years ago when Rowen and Sophie's brother stopped being best friends, that was the end of Sophie's friendship with Rowen and her best friend Mindy, Rowen's sister. The Social Experiment soon changes that and gives them both a second chance.

I loved the dialogue with Sophie's sassy mouth and Rowen's quick comebacks and double meanings. The humor was top notch. Great ending too in this second chance love story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Gute Idee, die Umsetzung hat mir aber nicht so gut gefallen
Reviewed in Germany on November 8, 2018

Addison Moore is an author who I one click without even bothering to read the blurb of her books as I know I'm guaranteed an amazing read. She didn't disappoint with this fantastic 5 star story that I read all in one go. I was gutted when the story ended at 75% because I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Rowen who is the sort of guy I'd love to meet. I definitely recommend this book, and any other book written by this very talented author

2.0 out of 5 stars NA Romance, standalone
Reviewed in Germany on March 29, 2019
