About the Author

Giulia was born and raised on a farm in rural Illinois and currently lives in Minnesota with her husband and three kids. She began her journey as an author in 2017. Her first book, Jack, while a serious undertaking, was also an experiment. Once she began, ideas flowed from her brain. After her first series was completed she already hatched three additional series' plots in her head. Giulia loves talking to her readers and engaging with her audience.     The writing is great, the story is good, the hero has the empathy of a rock. He truly seems unable to see other people's points of view and he treats people accordingly. From dropping the best friend who the whole town knew was in love with him (which he was clueless about) to his punishing everyone for his wife's death when really they were all just trying to protect their families, he is all about how things impact his life and nobody else.

    I have read it a few times hoping that I will see that he understands how many ways he hurt Christy, until he dealt the blow that made her leave for her own mental health and well being. He doesn't. I think he loves her as much as he can, but he never seems to give any thought to how his actions affect her until someone else points it out.

    This was recommended in a reading group, I wasn't to sure but I have to say I really liked it.
    Christy never made her move or was really subtle about it and then Jack never had a clue. Either way Christy didn't eat to see what she could have had.
    Then after a horrific day at work she couldn't stay anymore.. Really was horrible. She came home and didn't want to fall in the same pattern as before but Jack was not having it. Looked like after all Christy was going to get her dream burger past was coming for her..
    This had me going I had to know what was fourth happen, how was this going to end. So glad I read this.

    I don’t know what to say. I’m somewhat divided on my opinion of this book. I like the premise of the story where the girl loves the guy but he loves someone else. My issue is that it seems to be forced. If the guy really loves the girl or has loved her all along, why the heck was there another o e who snuck in and made a life with him? The only reason they’re together is because the other girl died. I don’t know, it makes sense but some of the characters’ actions are questionable. I guess it’s a solid book all in all. If nothing else, the side characters are funny.

    So many funny parts you could not stop laughing they were so hilarious. The guys all have a special bond always their for each other even when they are butting heads. The town hold a special connection for the people. The wives and girl friendss they are just as nuts and funny.
