As Fate Would Have It: A Collection of Strange & Bizarre– Short Stories: Featuring Six of My Favorite Writers Kindle Edition
The author of the bestseller How To Gain 100,000 Twitter Followers, just released another blockbuster book.
AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT: A Collection of Strange & Bizarre– Short Stories.
Featuring Six of My Favorite Writers
Fresh, Exciting & Deliciously Dirty ~Ted Pindell
I knew there was something special about this book when my editor sent me an email about the lead story: “I’m Not Black, I’m Pops Johnson, and I Didn’t Kill Him.” The email said, “I loved it!!!!! OMG, are the details of this story true or is this fiction? What a thrill just reading it. Great story M LeMont, SUPER THUMBS UP. I can't wait to read more. :)”
This is the new genre of FEARLESS writers– Six Authors with Eight compelling short stories that are a heady mix of adrenaline, suspense, and adventure. Some of these stories will make you laugh out loud. Some will make you cry. Others will shock you. However, you feel, they all will evoke emotions and make you think. As an avid reader & passionate writer, I’m always on the lookout for ideas and collaborations that enhance the pleasures of writing and reading. What started out as a casual conversation with one author turned out to be an exciting collaboration venture; the idea of bringing together my favorite authors who each had a distinct style of writing and riveting, thought provoking stories to share, into a single compilation was both refreshing and invigorating.
Here’s a sneak preview:
The Lie that Binds--What happens when a wife is rude and insolent to her husband? This story depicts the shallowness of beauty, the pitfalls of falling for the lure of the physical body and karma, what goes around, comes around. –Martha Perez
A Poetry of being Human– on the surface is a love story or love lost story, but it’s also an exercise in language or the use of language. If you have a fascination with words, then you are going to fall in love with this story. There’s a sexy, yet naiveté love making scene you won’t soon forget. –by Dale Rominger
Season Fooking Greeting–Do you remember your best road trip experience as a teenager? This story is seriously funny and will give you stomach cramps. I’m not kidding. Okay, you’ve been warned. –Bobby Blaze Smedley
Asphodeloideae–What happens when her boyfriend rips off the brown paper wrapping and hangs a mysterious picture on the wall? He said, “You’re just going to love this picture and the frame? To die for!” – Rochelle Campbell
2 O’clock–An erotic thriller, a beautiful and accomplished psychologist falls for the patient that she's been treating for his sexual addiction. –Fletcher Brown
Coma– Do you know how it feels when someone is in a “COMA” and loses their ability to talk, feel, hear, taste and smell? Then listen to Delores transient thoughts, and as doctors tell her boyfriend that she won’t make it through the night.
As fate would have it…. M LeMont.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2018It is always refreshing to hear of books written by multiple authors, endeavoring to come together and write outside the box of their particular genre in order to explore and collaborate. As an author myself, I respect this tremendously- and like to support other Indie authors. I am a bit of a conservative when it comes to the types of stories & genres I prefer, tending to lean more toward culturally enriching, the spiritually enlightening and the occasional good thriller or Fantasy Fiction. There'll always be one of those in my Kindle too. As Fate Would Have It- was a bit of a shocker for me personally based on what I've explained. Phew! Having said that- I know most of the Indie authors who came together to create this book and the intense manner in which each writes will likely be something readers drawn to horror, intense physical dynamics and the profane will really appreciate.
As a mom, an educator & advocate for cultural awareness—I would like to see this group of authors with their diverse backgrounds— come together again at some point to create another book- in which they might reach readers on issues needing attention in our world today. These great folks could utilize their creative prowess to harness the attention of readers and captivate from a different vantage point- just a thought :) But for those of you ready for hard core- you'll be in for just that. Some of the stories are touching and make you think...like M. Lemont's: Coma. What a super creative, deep and thoughtful creation. I would have to say- it was my favorite.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2017As Fate Would Have It.. Not just a collection of short stories more like small moments in time captured for us to see. Each author has created a magic mirror that allows us to peek through and see their story unfold. From love, lust, friendship, curiosity, fear, excitment each story brings you in, like The Lie That Binds by Martha Perez. Oh this story is a good one with a twist, love the end. My favorite is Coma by M LeMont, this story was heartfelt, miracles can still be possible. All these moments are amazing and should be read to experience each one. Which will be your favorite?
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2018I recently just finish reading As Faith would Have it I have to say the only short stories I enjoy the most where by M Lemont ,Martha Perez, Fletcher Brown and Rochelle Campbell they left me wanting more ,the only reason why I'm giving it three star ,because Dale Rominger story of The Poerty of Being Human didn't have nothing to do the story , I couldn't tell if the main two main chacter were photo journalist ,field reporters, or mission workers ,it was to long and drawn out, it almost made not wanting to read the rest of the book, but lucky I change my mind.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2017There are some people that just never disappoint! M LeMont happens to be one of those 'never disappoints', rare, fun, quirky, tongue-in-cheek inventive authors. Whether he is sharing the secrets of Twitter, Harry's Love Letters Hacked or his newest As Fate Would Have It, he very cleverly blends six different writers into one 'need to read the whole book' in its entirety, he is a not to be missed creative, and out of the box writer!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2020I'm an avid reader.
But I must confess that I wasn't able to pass from the second story.
They seem written by school students; the narrative is plain, the stories are dumb, the characters unappealing. I hadn't read something that weak in years. I wasted money and time.
I struggled with the first story buy decided to give a shot to the second one. It was even worse!! It was like a porn site story but even poorly written, I've read better stories there!!!
With all the respect with the authors but save your money and stay away of this book. My teenage brother could do it better
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2017First, I'm a big fan of short stories in general; this collection is eclectic and exciting. From chilling horror to sex and crime stories, this has a little bit of everything. Pick up this great book; you won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2017I was thrilled to discover that one of my favourite authors, Martha Perez had teamed up with M LeMont and five of his favourite authors to produce a collection of short stories and couldn’t wait to read it. I was not disappointed either! It is an eclectic mix of stories and apart from the work of Martha Perez is not something that I would usually read so I am pleased to have taken this opportunity to do so.
The title As Fate Would Have It perfectly sets the theme for the stories within. I was captivated by 2 O’Clock, loved the twist in ‘The Lie That Binds’, astounded by ‘I’m Not Black, I’m Pops Johnson; I Didn’t Kill Him’ and as for ‘Asphodeloideae’ – well I didn’t see that coming. Brilliant! And there’s more besides!
It’s a sensational collection of short stories, cleverly written that takes you through a range of emotions – and leaves you wanting more!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2017As Fate Would Have It: I want to say M LeMont is my favorite author. He chose six of his Favorite authors to write these amazing short stories. They are fantastic, incredible and unique that will captivate you! The book is, BRILLIANT & STUNNING, and as the author said himself some of the stories are "Deliciously Dirty." I was intrigued with every page, every word--and every author had an exceptional short story that kept me turning the page. It was Refreshing, Sexy, Lustful, one of a kind book. And of course, M Lemont short stories were great. I recommend this dazzling and spectacular book. I applaud M LeMont for introducing me to a group of new authors. I can't wait to read more of their books.
