S.P. Cervantes is the author of the acclaimed contemporary romance A BROKEN FAIRY TALE series. The series allows you to connect with a group of friends and their triumphs over tragedy. "Dust to Dust" is a suspenseful stand-alone romance that introduces readers to this close knit group of loyal friends. "Wished Away" is an emotional romance that should be read before the Bad-Boy romance, "His Jar of Hearts". The stand-alone highly acclaimed romance called "The Wife" is now available.
S.P. Cervantes's dystopian romance, AN IMPOSSIBLE WORLD, is a thrilling tale about love and survival.
S.P. is also the author of the highly rated Young Adult Romantic Fantasy trilogy Secrets of Shadow Hill. "Always and Forever", "The Prophecy", and "War of Wizards" that has been described as "Twilight Meets Harry Potter". It's not your typical romantic fantasy.
S.P Cervantes lives in Orange County, California with her husband and three children, where she is a teacher. She enjoys spending time with her family, writing, reading, and running, but is always thinking of an idea for her next novel.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2016I loved S.P. Cervantes 3 romance stories. "Dust to Dust" was exciting at times; "Wished Away" was very sweet and made me sit there reading with tears rolling; "Jar of Hearts" got a little overbearing and repetitious. But all in all, they were feel good books that I can recommend to the romantics at heart.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2015I absolutely love complete box sets. Each of these stories are well written and have the perfect touch of suspense and conflict while the characters are working toward their happily ever after...
Dust to Dust - this is the first book in the series and sets up for all the characters. Cam and Holden have been close since they were children and eventually became close. Everyone in their group thought that they were going to be together forever, but one night an attack changed Cam forever.
Instead of telling anyone what happened Cam thought she could put the attack behind her and move on, but she ends up pushing Holden away. Years go by and Holden moves out of New Jersey and Cam gets married, starts a family and has her own career. But can never let go the love she has for Holden.
One night Cam's perfect life changes and puts her back with Holden. They each need to put a past behind them to get their happily ever after.
Wished Away - Dave and Jess were introduced in Dust to Dust. They seemed so happy and had a perfect life together. They had loved each other since they were teenagers. Got married and had a daughter.
Dave is the sheriff of the town. Jess knows there are dangers to the job, but she hopes that they will never touch Dave. But she knows Dave wants to help the people he serves, and that desire is what leads to the change in Dave and Jess' happy ending.
As Jess is left to pick up the pieces of her heart, the doctor that did everything to save Dave's life comes into her life. She knew him and Dave were college friends and like her, he was also suffering with the loss of his wife.
Wished Away is the finding of two broken hearts that wish away the pain.
His Jar of Hearts - Joey and Kat round out the group of friends that grew up together. They were not looking to settle down anytime soon and they were never a couple. Joey liked to play around and Kat was still caught up with an on again/off again boyfriend of hers.
Joey and Kat got together when they were town, but when Kat moved for a teaching job and to be closer to her cousin Jess, she is spending more time with Joey. Joey is starting to look at Kat, and Kat is starting to change her thinking about the playboy.
His Jar of Hearts has conflict that pull Kat and Joey together but is just a super cute read. There were times where I was laughing out loud at some of the way Kat and Joey were to each other.
Each one of these books are well written. I love a good contemporary romance and the Broken FairyTale series is a great one to read. Looking forward to what S.P. Cervantes comes with next because I am a fan!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2015There are not enough stars for these books. Each one touched me. I'm probably going to read them again soon.
Dust to Dust:
So, I took my time before I started this book. I've been holding on for about 2 months. I have no idea why I waited. I really don't. It was a great story! It showed how timeless love is and how deep secrets can cut. I cried more than once. I could feel the pain the characters went though. So well written. I love that it showed that sometimes it is not a direct path to happiness. But it is the struggles that we deal with that make the happiness that much more enjoyable.
Wished Away:
I wish I could give this more stars. I don't know why but a book that can make me ugly cry through the whole thing makes me love it that much more. Dave and Jess have loved each other since they were kids. They both knew there was no one else for the other person. Dave was sheriff, something he always dreamed of doing. One night on the job the unthinkable happens and he dies on the job while saving a young child. This was the worst thing Jess could imagine happening.
This is her story. Everything she goes through to heal. I won't say more because I don't want to ruin the book. Just read and enjoy.
His Jar of Hearts:
Okay, so I loved the first two books and as I read them I knew I wanted more of the story of Joey. He is the guy whom is the life of the party, but also the most fiercely loyal friend a person could have.
Kat has always been the bonus member of the group because she is Jess's cousin. She has known from day one she loved Joey. It took him MUCH longer to realize the same thing. It took the loss of one of his best friends and watching his friends find love for him to see what has always been in his face.
This was the perfect conclusion to a beautiful story.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2016When I read a good book I have a tendency to speed read my way to the end. I always am anxious to see how the characters fare and discover if I will get my much anticipated happy conclusion. All of Cervantes books do this to me. It is in the second reading, the one with a nice glass of wine that I truely come to appreciate all the nuances I missed in my initial rush to completion. Mrs. Cervantes has much to offer when writing of family, friendship and love. Like all of us she allows her characters flaws and fears, making them real to me. Like my wine Ms. Cervantes seems to improve over time. I am a true fan.
