When the new teacher Miss Hanada is the newest victim of the hanging tree, will Amanda and Thomas be able to solve the murder? Will Thomas be cleared of his possible connection? And what about a past love interest of Thomas' who suddenly shows up again? How will this affect his and Amanda's relationship? What a wild ride and amazing story! Holly Bell just keeps on delivering amazing adventures and tales, one after another. I can't wait to see where we go next.

    I enjoyed this seventh book in the series which has a good mix of murder, mystery, and magic! As with previous books, it is wonderfully well written by someone who knows how to use words. Along with the main plot of the story, we find that the continuing relationship between Amanda and Thomas continues to progress. And, of course, Tempest her familiar keeps an ever-watchful eye on all of Amanda’s affairs. With the familiar-sounding detail, you can easily imagine that Sunken Madley actually exists along with its relatable inhabitants. I am already looking forward to book eight!
