Tabbris, the Angel of Free Will, is in Hell.

Worse, the keys to the gates of Heaven and Hell have gone with him. Now, the hounds of Hell are close on his heels as he fights a desperate battle to keep the keys out of infernal hands, while trying to reach Earth once again. At least he prevented Adelaide from being dragged down with him.

Meanwhile, Adelaide is still possessed by the Angel of Visions, and Iaoel seems to be planning to stay, regardless of what Addy wants. Now, she's in search of a rogue angel to try and find a way into the underworld to rescue Tabbris...

Before all Hell breaks loose.

Overall this is a solid middle book for the series. In some ways I liked it more than the first one. At this point the worldbuilding is established enough that the characters really shine. I also enjoyed seeing more of Hell and getting a bit more insight into the conflict brewing between the Angels and Demons.

However, because the two main characters are separated for most of the novel, we lose a lot of the chemistry and character interactions that I really enjoyed from the first novel. But this is a minor point that gives Addy a chance to grow. I highly enjoyed seeing how Addy overcame the challenges of Hell without Tab around to pick her up if she falls.

I am obligated to say that I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Addy is back in the second book of the Angel's Grace trilogy, and she means business. Following Tab's last words of advice, she goes to find Haziel to help her get into Hell to get Tab back out (remember at the end of Airs & Graces, Lucifer pulled him in). From him, she meets Death and subsequently the rest of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse who have to basically give her their blessing in order for her to go after him.

As she is trying to get all her angels in a row, Tab is fighting to stay one step ahead in Hell and make it through the levels of Hell closer to the first level so that, if anyone is trying to help him, they don't have to risk going to far Basically think of Dante's Inferno.

And with all this going on, Iaoel is, for the most part, quiet after her earlier betrayal.

This is a great continuation. Addy is still a badass and an awesome female lead. We see more into Gabriel aside from his sass as he shows he has more depth. The four Horsemen are pretty cool and insightful, especially War. She is a pretty cool kid.

I will warn you though, the ending.....serious cliff-hanger. I stared at it and maybe yelled a little.

Another fabulous work by two fabulous authors. They create characters that are both relate-able and fantastical at the same time. The way they end make you craving the next book, while leaving you fully satisfied with this one.
