A Surrogate Love Affair Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 347 ratings

I never believed in fate. Destiny was something magical, something written in the stars. I was a world away from having that kind of excitement in my life.

I was alone, praying for a baby, that little miracle I could hold in my arms. My husband fought me at every turn, but I knew I would break him down one day. It was just a matter of time.

In the end, fate took the shape of my best friend and her husband, who were desperate for a baby. Desperate for that miracle, that hope, that joy in their lives. I wanted to give that to them. I wanted them to have the family they were striving for.

With my help, they would finally have everything they ever wanted.

On the day I found out their little miracle was coming, fate intervened again. It would turn my world upside down, shattering my life into a million pieces. It was on that day I realised things were about to become really complicated.

Omg! This is the first book I’m reading from this author and it’s friggin good! I definitely wasn’t expecting all the plot twists and turns that were thrown in towards the end! The way I GASPED!!! Definitely wasn’t expecting that. I need more!

This is a story about cheating, lies, betrayal’s, infertility and a shocking turn of events. This is a book I will definitely be purchasing. I loved it that much! A definite must read if you’re into this trope!

I like the relationship between Ethan and Alice, though I did not think they had much chemistry. Life is full of twist and turns and that’s what this book is about. I was shocked to see the one who I thought was the good guy, turned out to be the puppet master. Wanna know what I’m talking about, you have to read the book. Recommend.

The story line was good. But I think that the thought or idea of surrogacy was brought up too soon in the book. I think that there should've been more build up of characters first. Their spouses were horrible! Overall it was a decent read. I just didn't think it was as good as Jaimie's other writings.

First romance I’ve read with cheating and man I loved it. The pain, the angst, and the drama😈 so delicious!

I could not put this book down from wanting to find out what would happen next with these characters. Then the little twist on perspective that the author likes to give at the end to show that you had know idea what was going on behind the scenes😱

I definitely recommend this book as long as cheating isn’t a trigger for you.

Absolutely incredible!! I don't even know what I can say that won't be a spoiler. But I will say that my mind is still reeling from the ending of this book! I can also say that I never liked Kyle for one minute! I loved every page and chapter ! The epilogue and bonus chapter had my mind going into overtime! But I was so thankful for the complete outcome in the ending. Another fabulous and anticipating read by Jaimie Roberts!

I didn't see that coming at the end. It was an interesting story with a very weak female character. Wish she had a bit more balls to stand up to those who did her wrong.

I liked the story concept. The execution itself was just okay. The writing felt choppy at times because I think I should have felt more for the characters than I actually did. Everyone seemed to have very clear cut, defined roles, they were either all good or all bad; that is, until the epilogue, which revealed an interesting twist.

Was denn nun?

5.0 out of 5 stars Addictive reading !!!

I so enjoyed this very unusual clever story by Jaimie Roberts. I love her work and although I have not read all of her books by any means, I have loved the ones that I have read. Well written and totally addictive, once I started I read it in a day and to me that is the sign of a great story because I just couldn't put it down.

This is the story of four main characters Alice and Kyle and Sarah and Ethan. Alice offers to be a surrogate for Sarah and Ethan who are desperate for a child. Although Alice has wanted a baby of her own for a while, her husband Kyle is not so keen, so being the loving considerate person that she is, she wants to give her friends the ultimate gift of life because she loves her best friend Sarah and hates to see her so upset. A wonderful gift to them both and nothing could go wrong - or could it ?

I loved all the characters in their own way although there were times that Alice came across as weak and should have been stronger and that I didn't much care for. Kyle - an arrogant demanding man with only one opinion and that was his and if Alice didn't abide by that all hell broke loose, his temper and attitude out of control.

Loved Ethan of course because who wouldn't; successful doctor, kind, good looking, considerate - the perfect husband. Sarah I really couldn't make my mind up about her, but not everything is as it seems and Jaimie Roberts words keep you turning those pages and your sitting there and thinking " Yep I know where this is going, I know what is going to happen" and then she does her party trick and sprinkles that devious little twist into the book when you aren't expecting it and just when you think your on the home straight - your left opened mouthed and looking around the room mouthing what the actual F*** !!!!!!!!

This is what I love about Jaimie's books, when you pick one up to read you never know where it is going to take you and that is what is such fun, so addictive - the anticipation is everything.

Yes this book is not as dark as her other books but the story is so good, the characters so alive and so real with emotions flowing from every page.

Awesome stuff and a MUST read !!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars plot twist

The plot twist was shocking but what bothered me the most is Ethan and his obsession with Alice. Talk about a well-thought plan to make Alice his. It’s quite disturbing for me.

This is the first book I have read by Jamie Roberts and I have to say I'm so glad I did!

I had a love hate relationship with the character's. I loved the chemistry between Alice and Ethan. And the last chapter in Ethan's pov helped me understand him so much better.

Sarah and Kyle I could not stand them!

I was hooked on this book right from the first line. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read more work by this author!
