All That Love Stuff: A collection of 24 romantic short stories (Romance stories) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 18 ratings

ALL THAT LOVE STUFF

Richard's gone shopping for romance at the supermarket, Sally tries a smart way to get her man, Kirstey turns arty and Natalie just waits. And waits. And waits. Will their efforts be rewarded?

Heidi has always known she and Carl are perfect for each other. He's much cleverer than her, so why does he continue to search the sky for his sign, when she's standing right next to him?

Moths can't shimmer and dazzle like newly emerged butterflies, people in wheelchairs don't climb mountains, those who're different rarely see themselves as perfect – unless they're helped to do so by someone who loves them. And only if they accept that help. Others use more extreme means to find love; getting bound and gagged, being nice to children – even poetry!

Molly has her husband, but not his attention, the old man had a companion once but is alone again and Siobhan Desire was never the person she claimed to be. Will love return for any of them?

Whether they're together forever, broken-hearted, or still trying to make it work, anyone who has loved has a story to tell. This collection contains 24 of them.

Patsy Collins spends her time making things up and writing them down from her home in Lee-on-the-Solent or whilst traveling in a campervan. She shares both with her photographer husband, and sometimes acts as his assistant. When away she also enjoys scrambling round ruined castles, visiting friends and eating cake. At home she gardens, bakes (and then eats) cakes. She's the author of over 30 books.

Patsy Collins has a knack for spotlighting her characters on the cusp of a life change. In these enjoyable little love stories, the characters finally discover that they aren't sleeping beauty, doomed to wait a century for the prince, but that "happily ever after," or a reasonable facsimile thereof, may involve an attitude change on their part. The stories are very upbeat, and just a good length for a coffee break--or maybe a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Wonderful short stories from a master of the craft. Its not that easy to write short stories, there's only a short space to be convincing. But Collins certainly has the knack, they're great, short stories, especially these, deserve more accolade.

4.0 out of 5 stars good variation of short stories to help aspiring writers to start

For those who want to learn about short story telling, this is ideal starting point, although the stories are a bit too short and simple too facilitate proper plot points, but anyone can use the scenarios to expand it in their novel writing for those who want to give it a go.

A delightful collection of short stories. Settle down with a cup of coffee, a chocolate biscuit and treat yourself to one of the stories. A refreshing break.
