However, when Charlie refuses to party and drink with her teammates, she's accused of not being a team player. There is no way she'd jeopardize her scholarship. Charlie will walk away from anyone who can ruin her dream. Carson is on his own, as his parents have other priorities that don't include him. He is a genius, and after graduating at sixteen, he decides to travel the United States. He's never believed in relationships-who needs the drama? He's a manwhore through and through. That is, until he runs into Charlie. She's different; she's special, and he knows it from the start. They become inseparable and spend all of their free time connected at the hip. That is, until the misunderstanding happens. The one thing that throws a curve ball into the mix. Will Charlie's dream slip through her fingertips, or can she catch the ball?

Can you say WOW!! I loved, loved, loved this book. S M Stryker did not disappoint with this third book in the Second Chances Series. Each book is a standalone, but the plot is interwoven so well that you do not feel as if you must read the first two books before reading Anchored to Love – although I would recommend both books since they are fantastic reads on their own.

Carson (Zane) and Charlie (Char) meet when Charlie gets a full athletic scholarship and Carson is “just travelling around” when they land on the same campus. They become inseparable and spend all of their free time connected at the hip. That is, until a mutual misunderstanding happens. – they separate only to meet up 5 years later through Charlie’s roommate Raven (minor character in Never Forgotten Love and primary character in Loving Redemption). Charlie is now a single mother and Zane is a computer programmer. This is where their story is interwoven with the characters in both Never Forgotten Love and Loving Redemption so perfectly you do not feel as if you have missed any part of the individual storylines.

This book is a must read.

    LOVED IT!!!
This book is my second favorite of S M Stryker. The story and the characters are amazing! This book is Charlie and Zain's story. You met them in the previous books of Second Chances series, but in this book, you will see who they really are and the story behind them. What I love about this book is that the characters are easy to like and relate with. With the misunderstanding that happened in the past, they will run into each other again. But will their feelings with each other strong enough to hear and understand each other?
S M Stryker nailed it again! Love this book!!!!!!

This is the quintessential miscommunication issue story that keeps soulmates apart from one another for years. When they meet again by chance, Charlie and Zain finally talk and set the record straight right before she is kidnapped. The entire family by choice is involved in trying to rescue her.

Anchored to Love (Book 3 in the Second Chance series) by SM Stryker, 4 Cranky Stars

Although this work can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend you read the earlier books in this series otherwise Anchored to Love contains spoilers.

We met Carson in the first book of the series when he gets the job at the software company. In this book we learn how he was on his own, raised by a nanny, as his parents had other priorities. He's a genius, graduated at the age of sixteen, and now spends his time traveling the United States while developing computer applications. He has never believed in relationships, a true manwhore. Then he meets Charlie. Right from the start he knows she is special. They become inseparable spending all their free time together, until a misunderstanding happens and Charlie leaves.

We met Charlie in the 2nd book of the series (Raven’s BFF and roommate). We learned a little more about her and what has been happening since the misunderstanding with Zain, aka Carson. All Charlie wanted to do was play softball and earned herself a scholarship to a school across the country. Her dreams were coming true, until she found out that her teammates liked to party and drink. Charlie refuses to join in and is accused of not being a team player. She was not about to jeapordize her scholarship. It all becomes too much and Charlie ends up walking away from it all and heads home

Told in multiple points of view, we get different perspectives from both Charlie and Zain (also known as Carson), on scenes that occurred in the prior books. A good portion of this book runs parallel.

I am a major fan of SM Stryker’s work and while I did enjoy Anchored to Love there are some editing issues. There are what appears to be copy and pastes of conversations from earlier works, but who was talking wasn’t updated to the current book. This led to confusion, re-reading, fact checking, becoming frustrating at times. With a good editing to fix the few typos and POV issues this would most definitely be a 5 star read.

I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved getting to know the characters more, reading their back-story and fleshing them out more. Reading the different perspectives from the other two books shed more light on events. There were tears, even knowing what was going to happen, and plenty of twists and turns.

I highly recommend this book and series.

This is Charlie & Zain/Carsons story. Another second chance tale. Both knowing each other from college. A misunderstanding keeps them apart. All the characters from the previous books still are involved. Again there's the repitition of the other stories just to keep us flowing with the plot.

This is a rather good series. But it's best for all 3 books to read to understand where things stand in the plot. The epilogue in this just about sums it up.
