Editorial Reviews
Review
"I loved how fast this novel was in its pacing. I liked the fact that we got backstory and plenty of descriptions of the world we were in, I could picture it in my head. This story is well thought out and flows nicely." - Texas Book Nook
"It was addicting the pacing is fast. A reader's hand would be itching to devour it whole and be fed with the information struggling to meet. The reflection of each character in the near end was a great touch. The authenticity of each one is felt, both pain and joy. And in time forgiveness as one of the things that could truly liberate oneself." - Bookish Wisps
"Quarterfinalist" - The Script Lab - TSL Free Screenplay Contest 2020
"I initially found the book cover to be appealing. The story was told in the first-person narrative and was well written. The pace was steady, and I felt intrigued reading the novel. There was a sense of mystery and wanting to see how the plot will end that intrigued my thoughts.
I found Ana and Sofia's character to be very stimulating. The jealousy and rivalry between the both, I believe, is what made this book different." - Review Tales

- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2020I’ve been devouring Romance and fiction novels in the past year. Still, I am at a point where nothing seems original. Yes, the words are different, but the context of the stories mainly rely on storylines already in circulation. Well, that has been the case until I came across “A Taste of Revenge.”
I got the chills so many times towards the end of this book. It made me hunger what would happen next, so I kept flipping pages till the wee hours of midnight. This novel is told in the first-person perspective, making you connect with the intriguing characters so excitingly. Sofia and Ana are young women, who have everything any woman would dream of, both of them are good friends. However, as things got better Sofia's best friend, Ana betrayed her, and this led to Sofia's dismissal as the company CEO. It’s just unbelievable how a friend you’ve known for so long can turn their back on you. Betrayal is a feeling that can break up relationships and lead to bad decisions of vengeance. Sofia decides to take revenge against her friend and make her pay for her wrongdoings.
This novel is a clear description of the world we live in filled with betrayal and uncertainties. I found the book as pretty thrilling, emotional, suspenseful and inspirational part of what I mostly look for in a book. Other than the uniqueness of the story, the author has shown masterly skills in writing by having complete control of her story and style. With twists and turns, a reader cannot ignore the imagination of the impressive scenes and much more than the story offers. I highly recommend it to all readers as this is a must-read. I can’t wait to get my hands on her other books!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2020The story itself is good but the tone is too formal and uptight for my taste. I didn't herbs sense of passion, just formal rigidity, almost like it was written in a foreign language, then translated, and published. So many grammatical errors and frustrating inconsistencies, I almost decided not to finish it. If this could be edited and upgraded it may become worthy of a read. Kind of boring with all the formal speaking and no passion.

A well-written novel. I like the appeal of the story to the emotions of the readers. I didn't expect the twist. A must read novel.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2020The plot of the book, as far as I read, was interesting, but the language was at-best a poor translation from some other language. It just didn’t flow well and the tenses switched up all over the place.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018A very stimulating story! I liked this author's style and the POV in the novel!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2018A taste of revenge is a fictional tale about Maria Castrillon. She is the CEO of a successful business which she found ten years ago. Her friend, Ana Gaston, helped her in creating this business but their friendship hits some rocky patches when a deal that Sofia was making with a company falls apart.
The problem gets worse when the company they were to make a contract with is to be owned by Lucio who is Sofia’s love interest. As the friendship between Ana and Sofia gets worse, the board members decide to take her off her position causing Sofia to lose what she held so dear.
Things then turn when Sofia decides to take revenge and get back what she has lost.
I initially found the book cover to be appealing. The story was told in the first-person narrative and was well written. The pace was steady, and I felt intrigued reading the novel. There was a sense of mystery and wanting to see how the plot will end that intrigued my thoughts.
I found Ana and Sofia’s character to be very stimulating. The jealousy and rivalry between the both, I believe, is what made this book different.
I recommend this story to fiction lovers and people who like to read women literature.
