4.6 out of 5 stars 377 ratings

She has a new baby with the love of her life and Christmas is almost here.
It should be the best time of her life.... right?

But when Danielle Petrov welcomes her new bundle of joy just in time for the holidays, everything isn’t as magical as it should have been. She’s trying to plan a surprise for their first Christmas as a family of four while dealing with a touch of postpartum depression and a six-year-old who wants nothing to do with his new sibling.

Sergei is completely smitten with his wife, his son, and the new baby, but he knows something is bothering Dani. Between being on the road with the Blizzard and trying to spend time with the kids, he’s not there for her the way he wants to be.

As the holiday barrels down on them, nothing is going according to plan. Sergei is determined to salvage what he can of a complicated holiday season. Will an unexpected storm be what brings everyone together?

USA Today Bestselling author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she's called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She's never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she'd probably choose the west coast.

Kat's a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she's not writing, she's either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) - traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach.

As you can guess from her series, the Las Vegas Sidewinders, Kat loves hockey. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There's something enticing about hockey players and romance...

A VERY BLIZZARD CHRISTMAS is a standalone read with a happy ending. Most of the sexy scenes are just talking about it since the story centers around Dani giving birth to her first child and the loving husband she has by her side. Great story, loved it. Was way more than I was thinking it would be. I was pleasantly surprised. Great read and I definitely recommend it.

Dani gives birth to her first baby. That was the easy part. Going home with a newborn, her husband leaving on a 10 day trip, and her 6 year old son by the first wife is a total jerk. He is threatened by the new baby and doesn't hold back on any of his aggression. And then the beautiful baby boy they brought home doesn't want to sleep at night. It is all almost too much for this strong couple. The love between Sergei and Dani will make your heart explode. Boy, he makes a great hero!!!

It is encouraging to see how the friends and family step up to make this a great read and a great holiday time. In case you haven't read any of the other books in this series, the Blizzard is a professional hockey team. Dani is an assistant trainer, 26, married to a player, Sergei, 36. He is Russian and his family is allowed in the states from time to time. The team plays out of Alaska so that makes for a lot of travel problems. It takes a while to get anywhere so that eliminates a lot of trips. The inner team as well as the owner all seem to love their location and team family. It makes for a very good story whether it is your first read or you have read the other books. I've only read 1 & 2 and I really enjoyed this story. Definitely recommend it.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 2/26/2022.

Where do we find Danielle? What is going on? What does she do for a living? How is Niko responding to what is happening? Who shows up, suprising Sergei? What happened on Christmas Day morning while the adults were asleep had my eyes welling up. This turned out to be a really sweet, short read. I enjoyed how fast it was.

Just Beautiful! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read

Dani and Sergi welcome their second child and it is event filled to say the least. Sergi is very aware of how his wife if struggling and the things that are done on both their parts just shows you how wonderful their love is.

Have to say Sergei and Dani are one of my favorite couples ever! Changes like adding a new baby are so stressful on a busy family and it was so great to see how they maneuvered through everything. Can't wait to read whats to come in our Blizzard family!

I totally felt all of Dani's worries, joy and even labour pain in this story. Dealing with siblings and I felt sorry for Niko too as he deals with a new brother. Perfect addition to this series.

Thoroughly enjoyable catch up with the crew. Poor niki adapting to changes when he’s been the centre of the universe, however reasonably well dealt with along with the postnatal depression.
