Acts of Love: A Gay Instalove Romance (Cut to the Feeling Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 67 ratings

Why did Alex kiss me? He'll forget about me in a week, but I'll remember the taste of him forever.

He's just a popular jock looking for an easy A to keep his scholarship. Acting is all I have, even if I'm always in the background. Being forced to partner with campus hockey god Alex Hayes for our drama final will end in disaster.

When someone suggests we act in a love scene, Alex jumps at the chance. I refuse—until he convinces me with a kiss that makes me feel like we're invincible together. The sparks between us are bright, hot, and leave me hungry for more.

If all we have is one week, I'm taking center stage to put on a show with Alex neither of us can walk away from. Even if I don't know how to say it, he needs to know I'm in love.

Acts of Love is a low-angst new adult M/M instalove romance featuring a shy theater nerd and a confident college jock connecting in swoony, steamy ways before a guaranteed HEA. It is suggested this series be read in order.

Acts of Love is a wonderful insta love, low angst romance. Beck and Lex are paired up to create a theater scene at college. Lex needs to get a passing grade on the scene. With only a week to prepare their scene, and sparks flying, Lex and Beck grow closer, and realize that a week together may not be enough. I adored Beck and Lex. Their romance is sweet. Lex has some family issues, and it was refreshing to see those issues not become an obstacle for them. I am a big fan of Noah Steele's writing. I'm always drawn into his characters, and rooting for them to get their HEA's.

Alex is the hockey star but needs his grades up to keep the scholarship. He has a drama class to pass and his partner the drama theater are in the hole is to help him pass. Alex/Lexi has a bad reputation to over come flirt, love & leave them, star on the ice and definitely not serious about theater. Beckett/Beck serious about his class & has his final all set & gets dumped a week to go a new partner the jock...could things get worse? The men from a partnership & friendship but in the end they are each other ride or die. Pressure of parents, school and future break most couples up but looks like it will make them stronger. Great love story. V1 S2

Noah’s books get better and better. This one a shorter story than the others. I read in a day. A hockey player and a drama student. An unlikely pairing but simply perfect. Loved it.

This is definitely the best in the series so far, IMO, as the characters actually get to know each other, even though it still fits the Insta-love trope.

Beckett is in drama class, and he and his partner already have their final project almost complete. When he is called in for a meeting backstage at the auditorium, he's not sure what to expect. He does, however, recognize the school's most famous hockey player of the time sitting in his chair when he turns back from looking through the curtains.

They strike up a conversation, and Beckett finds himself enjoying talking with Alex, or Lex. That is until the drama instructor and Alex's coach inform him that he has a new partner and one week to prepare for the final project with a jock who hasn't bothered to show up the entire semester.

But as the two young men work together, they learn more about each other as people. They fell for each other with the first kiss, but with each secret shared, every obstacle overcome, and every dream brought to light, they find themselves entwined more and more in each others lives. There is some angst and family drama, and some binds are broken leading to happier living. And in the end, Beckett and Lex get their happily ever after.

    * I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *

Acts of love is book number 2.5 of the Cut to the Feeling series by author Noah Steele. This is first-person Pov. While not my favorite POV it does work for this series.
Beckett is a college student. He is in drama class. He has a new partner he is not thrilled at. A guy who really has not attended the class before. He probably doesn’t care about his grades. Not like Beckett who loves this class. He is really hard on his partner. I get why but I felt for Alex. He had a huge wall to get through to be with Beckett.
Alex is a jock. He needs this class to keep his scholarship. He is willing to pull his weight too. He knows he has a lot of learning to do but he wants to do well.
I like how Alex and Beckett grow not just as a couple but as people in this book. I felt the pace of the love story itself was great not too rushed. But what I loved about this story the most is each man finding who they really are in this book and becoming more as a couple than they could apart. Really well done.
I cannot wait for more from this series in the future. I wanna know who falls in love with who next.

I give this a 4.5!!!! I really enjoyed this one! Even though it was shorter it packed a punch! Gosh! Alex is the jock who needs to pass a class to play hockey. Beckett is the nerd who loves the theater. Throw in a tight deadline with someone they have never met before and viola story made! I love how instantly they got nicknames Lex and Beck, super cute! I loved how real the guys were, in the coffee shop, how seriously they took the play, the apt scenes. My favorite was the skating scene. Seeing each guy in their element put a smile to my face. Plus, Olly, and Seth were there, helping out Lex and Beck!
I was totally engrossed in this one and so far for me best one!

Another instalove handled quite nicely by Steele. As a novella, their story lacked some of the elements I truly enjoyed in books one and two, but it was still a satisfying romance with a thought out plot.

I went a bit squish for Beckett. His theater geek self was just too adorable, and Alex’s hot-jock presence was the perfect pairing to draw out some of my favorite tropes. This story could standalone without the others very well, but there was still enough influence from the other Cut to the Feeling books that it felt like part of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what else Steele creates!

The book subject is a play on the title. I loved it. There is just enough of the explicit with great plot and character development

A beautiful little short - sweet, saucy, perfect. Gorgeous characters finding tggeir HEA. With familiar faces from the Cut to the Feeling series popping in, it was like a trip home.
