    Guys what a brilliant read. This is a first for me by this author, so all I had was the synopsis. And it was certain words within the synopsis like revenge, dark, not a light read and intense that drew me in. Dark and twisted being my fav to read I couldn’t pass the opportunity up. I needed to read this. So I purchased and read…..
    And let me tell you I absolutely loved everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about this novel.

    Without giving anything away let me just say that this is definitely not for the faint-hearted. This novel explores the life of a young girl brutally traumatised by the hands of monsters. A survivor who lives with deep scars and hurt, but who vows to seek her ultimate revenge. She will destroy those who inflict pain, who take innocence, who don’t belong in this world.
    It’s graphic and explicit in detail so you get a very true picture of what her life once was and what it has now become.
    She’s without love, something that is of no interest for her. Emotion is something that she refuses to burden herself with. She is very much alone.
    But something is about to come her way that will change her course.
    When HE comes her way everything that she knows will ultimately change.
    He will be her game changer.

    Her name is Alace Sweets and this is her story.

    This novel took my breath away. I hung on to every word, every paragraph, every page. It captured me completely and I literally couldn’t put it down. It was so much more than I had anticipated. Yes it was dark, twisted and full of suspense, but it was also edgy, gut wrenching, powerful and heartbreaking. It had everything I could’ve asked for in a novel.
    For me it was simply perfect.

    I couldn't put this book down from page one! Tried to stop & go to bed but couldn't sleep thinking about Alace and got up & finished the book. Alace is the daughter of the town slut and was viscously gang raped at age 17. The next victim was killed. The attackers got off. Thus starts a turning point in Alace's life. She takes a stand and delivers justice, sweet revenge as a vigilante serial killer. I was on the edge of my seat and always rooting for Alace. I fell in love with Eric. He is the son of one of her attackers and she was going to use Eric to get to his dad. Fate intervenes, as they connect she does not think she is good enough for him with what she does. Eric tracks her down. Their connection was palpable and yes they get their HEA. The intensity and suspense are embedded thorough the book and I highly recommend you read it!

This is a heart wrenching & heart breaking story of one women fighting to right the wrongs of society and to give every victim some relief. It’s also a story of redemption, mercy, judgement and above all, how love can heal even the most broken. Take heed to the warning the synopsis provides because this story will set off every trigger you have!

    4 stars because the writing style was hard to take. The story flow was very choppy causing confusing when trying to understand the scene. The sequence of sentences and words were all over the place. Conversations between characters were jilted and most of them weren’t even full conversations. The progression was the worst, as the story would progress 2 steps but spend 5-8 steps going over what happened in the past. I wasn’t sure why this type of writing was used through out the whole novel.

    But the story itself was so engaging and thought provoking. I throughly enjoyed reading Alace kicking ass and that epilogue was so freaking sweet, I was smiling from ear to ear reading it. This author has potential and I’m exited for what she has next.

    From an author who generally writes reads that are full of sexy biker-hotness, there is not a single biker in 'Alace Sweets'! This is a a whole new level of writing from the dark side for MariaLisa deMora, but damned if it doesn't get a hook in your soul that you can't get rid of long after the last page is read.
    Fair warning Folks, this book is absolutely, agonizingly, friggin brutal! No better way to say it. It's dark and demented and makes your heart hurt for Alace, literally from the very first sentence. Most books give you a couple of chapters to get eased into what the story is going to be and what emotions you may need to get lined up to feel while it builds up to the first big bang....that is not what you get here. What you get here....well instant gut-punch is a pretty apt description. (and right about around the cabin chapter....well, you'll know when you get to it...you may want the lights on while your read....just sayin!)
    But listen, do not, OH PLEASE DO NOT let yourself be scared off if you're afraid that it may be too much darkness for you because it is breathtakingly wonderful in the way it makes you pull for this damaged and broken girl that refuses to be left bleeding in the dirt! Not to mention, there is a romance in here that'll get your blood pumping triple-time!
    I know I've mentioned before that I don't, as a rule, read 'normal'. Well this ain't normal kids! Not by any stretch of the imagination is 'Alace Sweets' ever going to be considered anything close to normal. I'd read the step-by-step instructions for how to heat up leftovers in the microwave if MariaLisa deMora was the one that wrote them. She continues to make me love her harder every single book that she puts out. I still don't know how she does that.

    The only thing I have left to say, is that I'll beg for this book to be the first in a series! Alace isn't done....she can't be! (less)

    This book wasn’t what I was expecting. You know how it is, they sometimes sit on your Kindle for a while and you dive in from the cover alone. It’s a deliciously dark read, with twists and turns that keep you gripped. Whilst Alace can’t be described as a conventional character, she totally enthralled me. Excellent read.
