    Yes on every level YES OMG this book is addictive as hell and I don't even want to review it because I'm wasting perfectly good time that could be used to start book two. Alas, I have a code about reviewing after The last page is read.

    First of all the family dynamic between Alexa and her parents is heart wrenchingly perfect! I adore the healthy, sweet bond they all three had and how open the Relationship was! This was a family unit and I enjoyed seeing that for a change for a main character. She had an excellent foundation for life and it propels the story.

    Focusing now on Alexa I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed a teenage main lead role in a book since twilight but Alexa even wins past Bella for me because her identity is so freaking solid. This author gave her a strong sense of realism and I can't begin to explain my love for her. She took me back to my younger self, the one that sees the world and boy's from a totally different angle! I'm shocked that an adult author could give us such a FLAWLESSLY innocent girl with such smooth writing! She totally embodied this character. After living life into grown up years you can look back and sometimes remember parts of being unknowing or unsure but Cupak didn't just remember for us, she lived it. This was nostalgic for me, because I remember this foggy cluelessness with boys and love. Because of Cupak I could recall the struggle. This was young adult art!!!!

    Moving on to the men!

    Devin. Oh Devin. Devin, Devin, Devin. I hope you don't intend to read this under the false allusion you can easily choose sides. Omg nope. You will not be able to handle this back and forth emotional whiplash LOL! Devin is ....sigh** talk about strength of character. He is a very well established personality and he represents that solid unwavering love that Alexa needs. He's steady and reliable even when he's not.

    Ethan: let me count the ways.... I can't even. Ethan is everything Alexa wants and the sexiness of his dark prowling until she turns 18 is hotter than white fire. He understands her on other levels and gives her that danger love! HES GOT THIS soft side... oh ...my heart be still.

    These two are male perfection! Testosterone filled hot blooded beasts and I FLOVE IT .

    There is mystery to this epic tale as well, actually, quite a bit and it's so skillfully placed that you don't even realize it till it's in your face!

    Do good by the world and read this five star greatness! I'm on to book two. Do not disturb LOL

    Let me start by being entirely honest and saying I didn't necessarily love the start of the story. Its necessary for the reader to see, but it just wasn't one of my favorite parts. I want to state that up front because there was a part of me that just wanted to stop. But I kept reading and it was worth it. The reason the beginning was just a little off for me was that I kept getting distracted by the timeline.

    We see Alexa moving to her new neighborhood and meeting Devin as a little girl. But then when she later moves, she and Devin can skype, text, and use facebook. Then as time goes on, things are still really the same. Maybe I was getting too engrossed in that but then I kept wondering what time frame we were in. I think the characters moved forward but other things stayed constant. This led me to keep thinking I missed something.

    When the story really gets moving though, that is when this author shines. If I'm being entirely fair, I'd love to see this author really do more suspense because when the story kept moving and different people were moving in and out, I enjoyed the story a lot and really could feel the author's passion for the story come through.

    The story Alexa Crushed (Alexa Series Book 1) by T.R. Cupak is a contemporary romance book. I truly enjoyed reading this story. It tells the tale of Alexa Morgan who loses her parents during an earthquake in the Bay Area of California. She quickly finds out who is there to help her and who is there only for themselves. Alexa is about to graduate and has just found out the college she has been accepted to. In the span of the next 24 hours, she finds out her parents are dead and that her life will never be the same. In Alexa’s life, there have been two guys that she has been drawn to but in different ways. First is Devin, he has been her best friend and companion since they were children and then there is Ethan, the boy next door who caught Alexa’s eye when she is twelve and is the constant player. Even when Alexa sees that Ethan goes out with a lot of different women she still is drawn to him. So when she is grieving and alone she turns to him for comfort. Then the next day he is gone. In walks Devin. He is offering Alexa support and not expecting anything in return. Will Alexa be able to get past what has happened with Ethan to finally let Devin into her heart?

    I really enjoyed the characters of Alexa and Devin. They are best friends during childhood, inseparable. Then Devin confesses his love for Alexa. This leads to an awkward moment and they have not talked to each other for two years. Even so, Devin still rushes to Alexa’s side once he hears about her parent's death and wants to be there for her no matter what. There are also a couple of characters in this story that you begin to wonder about just who they really are and why they act the way they do. It creates a bit of mystery in the book. As I was reading this story I couldn’t help but think of how I would react if both of my parents died and I had to go on without them. Another reason that I enjoyed this book is that it is set in the Bay Area of California. I grew up in one of the cities that is referenced to. As this book is part of a series I can’t wait to read the next one. This story does have mature themes and adult situations. It would be recommended for a mature audience.

    First time author for me and T.Cupak did not disappoint! Loved every minute of this book. Alexa and Devin bestfriends forever! Devin's in love with Alexa! Alexa and her family move away! Ethan next door neighbor slightly older, she has a crush on him! Tragedy strikes Alexa!! Love how this story starts and where it is going! Will be reading Alexa Loved!! You will need to read to continue the story!!

    ****SPOILERS*********Well I wasn't expecting that ending!! Alexa has the best of worlds with her father and her new mom who entered her life when she was a toddler. Growing up she still had it all, doting parents and a best of best friend Devin. All is well until around her 12 birthday her parents decide to move across the bay to a bigger house. Lexi is upset to leave Devin behind but hey we have phones and Skype don't we. But a distance grows between them. Meantime Lexi falls in lust with her new neighbours son Ethan who is 4 years older than her.

    Over the next few years she watches the revolving door of blondes, brunettes and redheads doing the walk of shame (which secretly she hopes is her turn next). They nod in passing, and each year he wishes her happy birthday and time passes.

    On her 16th birthday Devin comes over to celebrate as they now both have their driving licences but during the evening Devin ruins it all by declaring his love for her, Lexi is staggered and rejects him. Devin runs away and stays away until a major event 2 years later in her life brings him back.

    During this event is when he meets Ethan for the first time and they argue and bristle at one another until Lexi sends them away.

    Ethan finally takes her to bed but is unaware of her untouched status, when he does realize he doesn't handle it too well and leaves her a note and vanishes. No texts, no emails no phone calls, Lexi assumes this is because he got what he wanted and now wants nothing to do with her. She even goes as far as explaining all this to Devin who is annoyed.

    Weeks pass and Lexi and Devin have confessed to feelings and their relationship is leaping forward. A few months later they finally graduate and prepare to move to Stanford University together - following the graduation ceremony she wanders off to the line of porta-potties and is grabbed from behind. Ethan squeezes her and whispers mine!!
