Russell Cage would much rather work on his crumbling marriage and life than leave town with his best friend. But the fun weekend planned turns tragic when their plane loses power in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Battered and beaten, Russell emerges from the wreckage alone with no choice but to hike through the mountains and find help.

Teaming up with a prepper, and her faithful dog, Max, Russell battles his way back to his family. But on a road littered with roaming gangs and unscrupulous mobsters, reaching his loved ones in time maybe more than he can bear…

The Complete Survive the Fall series is a riveting action-packed story of surviving the end at all costs. If you like flawed, complex characters and rugged adventure stories, then you'll love this post-apocalyptic tale.

A disaster/survival series perfect for fans of Ryan Schow, Grace Hamilton, Harley Tate, Jack Hunt, Boyd Craven, and Kyla Stone.

“Another Post Apocalyptic series worth reading. Good action and great characters. Enough action for two books. Get this and enjoy it. I did.”

Did they even read it?
I listened to the audiobook version. Large holes, very repetitive, very stupid choices by the main characters. In a city of thousands without power the mafia kept finding one person and just happened to try and kidnap her a year after the original contract? Also referred to pistols as heaters? Really? So many other things I could list that were wrong with this story. I did end up listening to it all because I was doing brainless house work. A for effort but doubt I'll read anything by this author again. Also seriously doubt the 54% of 5 star ratings actually read/listened to it.

This box set of this series is great. I loved having all the books in one set.
The story was really good. The situations the characters faced was harrowing. So many positive things to say. The storyline is gripping and held my interest right to the very end.

Sure, there's a vague catastrophic event, a CME, that doesn't really cause the types of issues that we have been told to expect from such a thing. Like, a couple planes lose power & fall out of the sky, but all the cars seem to be working, along with unprotected electronics. There's a massive power outage and a bunch of fires & people losing their heads as a backdrop to the story. But this isn't really about that.

It's a story about people fleeing a human trafficking ring and a stalker. These are not survivalists and at times they behave too stupidly to deserve to survive. For example, when fuel becomes an issue, they find a safe place to siphon gas from other cars. They fill a 5-gallon can twice, pour it into the Silverado (which has a 20+ gallon tank), don't fill the 2nd car, and then put the EMPTY can back in the vehicle, deciding they have enough to get where they're going. Then, guess what??? They run out of gas when they get to their destination! Sarah keeps getting caught by her pursuers every time she goes to a known refuge. Do you think at some point she would figure out these people know a lot about her and maybe she shouldn't go to her parent's house after they found her at her home and at a friend's house!

And we're supposed to believe that Russell can manage Spencer all by himself after Spencer eliminates multiple gangs of mobsters by himself? So much of it was far-fetched.

There are also story lines that go nowhere. What was Amber's story with the crackhead boyfriend? It's never explained. What happened to Rick & Clyde?

I finished reading it because the story kept my interest. I just wished it was more fleshed out, more probable, more...just more.

Stayed up way too late reading before bed, making it hard to work the next day. That didn’t stop me from a repeat performance every night till I finished the series. Great action, had me wondering how on earth they’d get out of the messes they faced. Characters had me worried for their well being as if they were family members. My advice is to start the series on a long weekend so you can blitz right through it. Believe me, you’ll want to know what’s going to happen next.

I loved the characters: human, canine, good guys, bad guys.
The writing was meh, with an increasing need for the suspension of disbelief as the series progressed. Interestingly enough, the overall writing improved some over the story arc.
The suspense and plot were quite good, especially if you overlook some rather blatant holes. This is definitely a post apocalypse survival thriller, start to finish. Speaking of, the end was great, no question.

If you are expecting just another apocalyptic story , you are in for a big surprise. From the moment the book begins with an ECP that takes down the power grid to the last pages, you will find yourself involved in a dramatic ßtoryline.

It should have been sent to an editor and the whole set would've been condensed into 1 book.
If I could fing the words "blinding darkness" less than five times in a chapter I was relieved. Too many repeat scenes which made the reading tiresome. Plenty of spelling mistakes and spell checked word replacement which didn't make sense.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 5, 2022
I have enjoyed a few of this author's other stories but I found this storyline unbelievable.
The sub plots was used to prolong the overall story but most of the time I found them pointless an disjointed. I found myself skipping pages in each book just to get to the end and hoping it would get better. This overall story could have been completed in 3 books.

    1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t bother.
Reviewed in Canada on June 3, 2021
I’m afraid I must agree with the poor reviews of a few others. Long and overly repetitive,- as at least one other reviewer stated, I only finished because I had the whole series and am always reluctant to abandon something I have started ... although the temptation to do so was certainly there ! The author’s writing style is quite amateurish and cliche -ridden, with frequent use of inappropriate words, repeatedly. ... I was left withthe impression that the writer used a Thesaurus to find a quasi-synonym for a more appropriate term, then set the reference aside and continually usedtthat same poor choice.
