About the author

Silvia Violet writes bad boy M/M romance. She can be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinfully delicious treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading to her incorrigible offspring.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI loved Angelo and Cameron’s story. They were just as dysfunctional as Lucian and Peter but honestly their love story started a bit better. It was very indecent proposal, but if Demi had actually fallen for the man who offered her the proposal. The background mob story wasn’t as strong as the first one, but that left much more room for the focus to just be on Angelo and Cameron growing from having hate sex to making love, and what love scenes they were. The were filled with passion and heat. Like the previous story, I enjoyed the secondary characters except for Maria. I found her really annoying, rude and unlikeable. Everyone else I loved though, and I loved that there was much more focus on the Marchesi Family as a whole in this story. Another great story from Silvia Violet!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was not as bad as I thought it could be. When I first seen this book I didn't know it had another book ahead of it but I'm glad I didn't read it first anyway cause i don't like Lucien and I think Peter is weak willed and let's him get away with too much. But that fact aside. At the beginning when Angelo was being all jerkafinde and rude I didn't think I was gonna like it. I do like a little push and pull and my strong Alpha-Male types but I don't go for that "Master/Slave" crap the Sir stuff irritates me enough. But once you got into the story I really did like Angelo and how he struggled with his emotions and his own will against Cam it was very romantic and unlike romance novels today very human and comforting to go through the motions with him. Though I did not like the talking about being with other people in bed with your lover stuff. You just shouldn't do that its disgusting and cheap. Cameron was very strong willed and I like how he didn't just roll over for Angelo even when he really wanted to. And I love that he set his "hard-limits" and didn't bend. The book did go into the grey area of "dub-con" but never into "PF physical force" like the first book did. It was very rapey and forced where this one flowed like pure water it was a bit long in some places and I did skip some pages I didn't feel were necessary but all and all it was a good read and I do want to read Devils book as well it is already in the saved list just waiting. I hope to see a return appearance of both Angel and Cam.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI loved and hated this book. I loved it because Cam and Angelo are amazing and so hot when they hate f*** each other. And I hate it because it made me crave sweet treats! From the first time Angelo tried the Cherry and Pistachio cupcakes I wanted to reach through the pages and try one too. Silvia's descriptions throughout the book of all the yummy treats was really unfair. I love the was she writes because you feel like you're part of the story and you feel the emotions of the characters and want to help them. This book made me feel sorry for Angelo when Cameron turned him down in high school and I understood him wanting to get revenge on Cameron. And I also understood why Cam turned him down and wanted to help him protect himself from the big bad Marchesi. I'm glad that they figured out what they needed in the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAngelo had a crush on his high school classmates who happened to be gay. Angelo considered himself bi but he couldn’t stop thinking about Cameron over the years. Cameron was very smart and Angelo wanted Cameron to tutor him or let him cheat off his paper. Cameron liked Angelo but he always felt he was a bad person and felt that Angelo liked to bully him. After thirteen years and the death of his father Cameron went back to Boston to see his grand parents bakery. Angelo went to tell Cameron that he owed their family money and he bullied him into doing what he wanted. Angelo and Cameron realized that they really loved each other and decided to make a go of it. Great story!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseRating 3.5* This was book 2 in the Marchesi family saga. To me the MCs were not as engaging as book 1. It seemed like they were Marchesi lite. Their story wasn't very dark in fact it was kinda sweet. Little angst but good smoldering spicy sex. I would definitely recommend this book especially if you enjoyed book 1.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseCameron comes back to reopen the bakery. He knows nothing about the loan his father took out. Angelo comes calling for the money. He has a perfect way for Cameron to pay up.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseGreat book, Angelo being able to get what he thinks is a second chance with his high school crush. Cameron had the same crush but didn’t want anything to do with the Mafia life. Cameron had to come home since his father was killed and to figure out what to do with the bakery his grandparents started. Cameron dad owed money and Angelo came to collect or have another choice. Great book and show of being able to take care of each other.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAngel and Cameron were explosive!! Omg, I loved that Cameron made Angel work for it, didn't just submit...even though he eventually did, but damn if he made easy for Angel. That was one of the things I didn't like about Peter and Lucien...Peter put up no fight...just went with it. Angel actually loved that Cameron made him work for his heart and love. Great book..my favorite in this series!!! I can't wait for Devil's book😍

Format: KindleVerified PurchaseReally enjoyed this about Angelo and Cameron the chemistry and heat between these two was great Angelo is Lucien from 1st book brother and he knew Cameron from school when he finds out he's come back to his grandparents bakery but his father was running it and owes them money Angelo goes to see him telling him that he owes them but he can't pay and Angelo takes advantage of that for his own ends by making him do what he wants by sleeping with him anytime he wants him too won't spoil it but read it I recommend it 💖💖💖

5.0 out of 5 stars Intense...so intense...
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was intense... so intense... The story caught me since the beginning and I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. The plot was complex and wicked, so I really needed to know what was going to happen. Ms Violet bent the line between love and hate with such an intensity that in some parts, I cried, in other I suffered with Cameron or ached with Angelo and in others I got so frustrated that I just wanted to stop reading but I simply couldn't. Difficult to read with a lot of angst, because the masterful way the author described the emotions of the characters, and how their dialogues and interactions led them to heartwarming but at the same time heartbreaking situations. This book if possible is even better than book 1. I can't wait to read what happens next!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI love Silvia Violets books and have quite a few. Book one Lucien of this series was very good and I really loved the relationship between Lucien and Peter. This second installment Angelo sort of fell flat for me purely because of the character of Cameron. He is a sanctimonious, judgemental, boring character and for some unknown reason the love interest of the fun loving, bad boy character of Angelo. The relationship was very one sided for most of the book and the M/C's seemed at odds mainly due to the continual stubbornness and superiority complex of Cameron. In my opinion Angelo deserved someone better than he got. It all comes together at the end with a HEA but it sort of felt like too little too late for me. Still well written and a well woven story with fantastic supporting characters and that's why I gave 4 stars. Hoping Devil's story is as good as Lucien's.
