Sometimes the big-hearted guy who comes bearing over-the-top gifts is the perfect fake fiancé.
Chloe has spent her whole adult life alone and running - with no one to trust but herself -so she’s more than a little wary of Moose. After all, why would he be interested in her? When her shady ex-boyfriend shows up in her ice-cream parlour Chloe panics and tells him that she and Moose are engaged. So now she has a crazy ex stalking her and a hot not-fiancé moving in and she’s not quite sure how to deal with either of them.
Since the day he laid eyes on her Moose has been looking for an opportunity to show Chloe that opposites attract for a reason. Living in her house and spending every day with her couldn’t be more perfect as far as he’s concerned.
Will Chloe let her guard down and let Moose in or will she do what she always does and run?

- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2017I so enjoyed reading Any Way You Want It. Chloe was raised in a religious cult in Texas and lived a very sheltered life until her mother helped her escape when she was 18. She ended up at her Uncle's Ice Cream Shop in Maine and met Tom "Moose" who fell for her the first time he saw her. They were opposites but when danger came looking for her from her past, Tome was there for her and was determined to show her he could protect her. Loved the story. Great job Monique McDonell.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2017This is the first book I have read by Monique Mcdonell. I loved it. I thought it was lovely romantic book. When Chloe's crazy ex find her, she tells him that Moose is her fiance. Moose is already half in love with her so he goes along with her. He wants to protect her but she is used to being alone but he shows her that he has her back and that she has friends. After a bad relationship, Chloe is afraid to trust her feelings for Moose. Read this book and find out what happens.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2018I was really excited to read this because I mean, who could resist a big mountain of a man called Moose? I was in right from the get go, but Chloe made Any Way You Want It a really difficult read.
Chloe has lead a very sheltered life inside a religious cult in Texas, but when the time came to marry some old fart, she left it all behind. Unfortunately she fell prey to the same predators that too sheltered children often do and his name was Viper. I applauded her for getting away, for having the strength to leave behind not one, but two toxic situations.
…then I got to know her.
I wanted to like Chloe, I really did but she just made it so damn difficult. Self-doubt is expected and hell, it even enhances the story. BUT there comes a point where you just can’t put up with it any longer and I’m sad to say that point came very early on. If not for Moose, Marissa and the whole community, I might have stopped before I got to the end. But Moose was the Pacey of book boyfriends, kind and sweet, patient and understanding, and hot as hell with a penchant for going shirtless! Yeah, he was all kinds of perfect with a mile-wide protective streak that just about had me swooning as I read.
I know it sounds like I didn’t like this book, but the truth is that Any Way You Want It was an enjoyable read filled with small town goodness. Monique McDonell has written a fun romance that’s easy to read and endearing in its sweetness. I will point out that at times the language became British English which was unexpected but took nothing away from the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2017I just loved Chloe and Tom's (Moose's) story. All the novels in this series have been good, but this one really pulled me in.Great plot, wonderful characters and all the usual townsfolk are combined in a compelling story about Chloe who is very much alone and the ver big hearted, warm hearted Tom. Loved the huge copper coffee machine!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2017They made me laugh, cry for her and so happy for them at the end. So many interesting and funny (mom) characters as well. This is a love story without explicit detail if that is a concern. He is my mind of guy and so perfect for Chloe with her strange parents and childhood and the crazed stalker. Did I mention Elvis? That should get your attention! Bravo Monique, good job!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019There's a fair amount of stereotyping & wishful thinking involved here & it resulted in a frustrating, psychologically inconsistent heroine (who seriously needs psychological help but doesn't get it), and a secular saint of a hero with a not particularly believable obsession with the heroine in a relationship suffering from paternalistic overtones.
*Clean romance level: after returning to her previous level of sweet romance content, the author is again delving into "above the waist" details of the couple's intimacy. Please stick to the romance & leave the graphic intimate details for the porn mags & erotica
*Religion: secular in form and in perspective on other forms; takes the Lord's Name in vain, including cursing, unfortunately
*Language: minor amount of swearing with d*mns & h*lls

5.0 out of 5 stars A Different Type of Monique McDonell Book
I am torn between a 4 and a 5 star rating for this book. It gets a 4 star if I compare it to the other books by Monique McDonell. However, if I pretend that I have never read any other books, it gets a 5 star rating. This book deviates from her usual Australian in the U.S. story and her sassy and bold heroines. This book is very different but an excellent read. I like how the narrative switches between the perspective of the heroine, Chloe, and the hero, Tom/Moose. The story is a true love story where Tom not only loves Chloe but protects her and provides her with the space she needs to understand who she is. Well worth taking the time to read.

Again I love this series. So hard to put the book down (annoyed when my real life took over) as I was immediately taken into the story from beginning to end. Highly recommend this fun, loving and realistic story
