Niel Bushnell is an award-winning science-fiction and fantasy author based in the north-east of England.

As well as writing a number of Doctor Who audiobooks, Niel is the author of the Arkship Saga, a science-fiction series set in the distant future after the Earth has been destroyed along with the rest of the solar system in a cataclysmic event known as the Fracture. He is also the author of two time-travel children's books called Sorrowline and Timesmith, and a Young-Adult novel called Altitude.

An accomplished artist and animator, Niel has worked in the creative sector for over twenty years, across film, TV, online, games, advertising and publishing.

    In this 2nd book of the Arkship series, the battered forces of the House of Kenric have spent the last two years rebuilding and recovering from the devastating conflict with the House of Draig. Given temporary Humanitarian aid by the Church, they must once again depart into the wilds of open space and take their chances.
    The characters in these stories are woven in a tapestry of friendship, duty, and perseverance. The author allows the reader into the fears and feelings of all the characters from the reigning officers, to the engineers keeping the ships running.

    This book is a strong addition to the series. The plot did not feel forced, and the characters felt very real. They had wants, needs, hopes and desires. When they did something, every character was justified, even when their actions had terrible consequences. It was easy to see the flaws that make them human, and the writer allowed them to choose with adversity like real people.
    The plot is far reaching and well detailed. Every faction has a reason to be involved, and it does not feel like there is much fluff. Every one is important, and small choices can have huge impacts. There is plenty of material for many books, and it is hard to predict where the story will take us.

    Very good continuation of the series. The characters are believable and the story line is well thought out. Wynn is young and inexperienced, and it shows. He tries to be a good leader, but sometimes that is not enough when lives are on the line. Hard decisions have to be made. I look forward to seeing what he does in the future.
    I received this book for free and wanted to leave a review. I think it is a series that is well worth reading.

    Bushnell knocks it out of the park again with Arkship Vengeance! This series just keeps getting better and better as our hero Wynn faces the rigors of sudden leadership and struggles to keep his people alive while at the same time dealing with his growing love interest.
    The action is dramatic and so intense at times you will feel like your racing heart is going to burst! Bushnell is a master story teller with the plot taking more twists and turns than a 30 foot Boa Constrictor!
    I proudly award this novel 5 stars and highly recommended to anyone who wants an adventure with no end.

    This series is a simple complicated saga. All the characters and situations draw you into the story and their lives. I won't go into details because I hate spoilers but I can say I felt the betrayal of the spy sharply. Love and devotion, betrayal, courage, honor, I could make a longer list but suffice to say if you like action and adventure, read this book, read this series !!!! I read this on kindle unlimited.

    Long live the evil one! Yep, one dies and another takes his place. Both evil ones are evil but the Admiral is all about negotiating her way to new allies. The only problem is: She's so ambitious. Will her idea of negotiations be any different from her predecessor's war mongering?

    The story follows on from book 1 but the downside it is 2 years since the intervention of the church. I found this could have had more substance. Apart from all of that the story sold it. Really liked were Wynn finally realises revenge isn't what it's made out to be.
