    I am going to write this review to those who read AROUSING CONSEQUENCES, because, truthfully, If you didn’t read AROUSING CONSEQUENCES, you really must read it now, before you read AROUSING SECRETS. This is a true series with a BIG cliffhanger at the end of book 1 and a BIG cliffhanger at the end of book 2, and you can not enjoy either of these books without the other.....you will be missing some important pieces to the puzzle....I call these “smart books,” because you can’t miss even one word and still understand what happened or is happening....❤️🌼🔥
    If you loved AROUSING CONSEQUENCES, and I’m assuming you wouldn’t be reading AROUSING SECRETS if you didn’t, I assure you that CAM JOHNS did not just benefit from “beginner’s luck” in her first book, because AROUSING SECRETS might, possibly, be even better....I say possibly, because I’m not sure that I haven’t combined SECRETS and CONSEQUENCES, together, into one book in my mind...They fit together, seamlessly, with AROUSING SECRETS picking up 3 days after AROUSING CONSEQUENCES ended, when Jackson and Karisma had hit one of their lowest of valleys in their “peaks and valleys” love story....but Stevie Wonder can see these two belong together....the question is, can they continue to rise above all of these problems (and I’m talking REAL problems)and keep their love intact....❤️🌼🔥
    I don’t like to read spoilers in reviews, and I refuse to write them, because I want the readers to get emotionally invested in these characters the way I did...otherwise, the outcome of the characters and the book, itself, isn’t as spellbinding....And that’s a good word for this series.....You can not put down the books until the very end.... And as Jackson’s and Karisma’s love grows deeper and deeper, the love scenes get hotter and hotter....❤️🌼🔥
    I want to thank Cam Johns for this series...I know....it’s not over yet, but she’s made a believer of me...I’ve loved the first 2 books, and I am absolutely positive, the 3rd book will be just as good, if not better....Will Jackson and Karisma make it long term?...Of course! Ms. Johns isn’t a sadist....But, the question is, HOW will they make it now with all of the “surprises” that popped up at the end of AROUSING SECRETS??? There are some true “I didn’t see that coming” moments......Plus, Karisma has always seemed to have one foot out the door throughout the series....Will Jackson convince her they can have their Happily Ever After? Only Ms. Johns can answer that question, but I know one thing, for sure, I will be along for the entire ride.....❤️🌼🔥
    Then, because I’m impatient and selfish, I’ll be ready and waiting for her next book or series... because Cam Johns has bulldozed her way into my favorite authors list, and I’ll read every book on which I see her name as the author....❤️🌼🔥

    The story Arousing Secrets: What's Done in the Dark: An Erotic Suspense (The Arousing Series Book 2) by Cam Johns is an erotic/romantic suspense book. It is an awesome story and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the ending page. It is the continuing story of an amazing couple that I have grown to love and care about what happens to them. This story picks up right after the end of the first. It is a story that is full of emotion and mine were going up and down all the time. There are times when I felt fear for this couple and what would happen if one of them was hurt or worse. All through this story, you realize that this couple is meant to be together. While they have been through so much already this story only deepens the mystery and the danger of the situation that they are in. Questions are answered however new ones also are raised. There are parts of this book where the tension is high and I was wondering what was going to happen next. His love for her is undeniable. He would die for her if called upon. This causes him to make decisions and keep things from her. He is a man that takes control. She wants no secrets between them and to be included in decisions that affect her. I loved reading about these two and their love for each other. It does include some very steamy love scenes which will have you reaching to turn the fan on as the temperature in the room rises. This story also provides a peek into his past. There is danger lurking around every corner and it comes at this couple from all angles. It invades almost all aspects of their lives. There are those who wish this couple harm. Read to find out what happens in the next part of their story. It is well worth the time. This is an author who has created an awesome series that is well-written and doesn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to read what happens next! These are stories that must be read in order so that you fully understand everything that is happening and who all the characters are. There are some scenes of violence and also hot and steamy love scenes included in this book. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

    I read the first installment of this series as it was free from Amazon and liked it so much I bought the next book. This is my first time reading work by the Cam Johns.
    I loved that the story line had so many plots unfolding which made book 2 quite interesting. The end also was unexpected.
    The only qualm I have is the drastic change in Jackson. He was so lovable in book one, seemed put together, however in book 2 he lacked confidence and the way he behaved was ridiculously childish and bordering on insane most of the time. The couple was expecting but hardly did I see them actually celebrating or having a connection over the news.
    I look forward to reading book 3

    Damn, talk about secrets. This book will have you feeling like you are on a roller coaster ride. It has so many twists in it you aren’t sure what’s going to happen next. The suspense is enough to kill you. Poor girl has her hands full of Jackson and his jealousy. He really needs to settle his butt down. Karisma is something else. She’s strong and has gone through enough. So Jackson needs to calm down and give her some space.
    By the end of the book I was ready to scream. Even though so much is happening Jackson needs to grow a set. He’s a grown man, act like it. Karisma is mature, don’t smother her so much. She can handle herself.
    I loved the book, getting ready to read book 3, because it’s so intense. And I can’t wait to see how things turn out. 😂😂❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

    Arousing Secrets is the second instalment in The Arousing Trilogy by Cam Johns. I began reading this book not having read any of this author’s work before. Only a short way into the book, I realised that I really should have read Arousing Consequences first, because this is a continuing story and I was missing important information. So, I went back and purchased the first book, put aside Arousing Secrets and read book one. Once I had finished book one, which ended in a cliff hanger, I was really pleased that I didn’t have to wait for the second book.- picking up the story a few days after the events at the end of previous book.
    I am emotionally invested in Jackson and Karisma’s story, following all their ups and downs, highs and lows- the author left me guessing quite a lot with plot twists and surprises. These two both frustrated me at times, shaking my head at what I was reading. The suspense was really well written, I needed to know what was happening.
    As this is a trilogy, the story continues in the next book- which I really need to read so I can find out how the story finishes.
