    ARRANGE ME is a standalone read with an interesting ending. As this is the prequel to Arrange US, the ending is just the beginning. There are sexy scenes if that is an issue for you. The story starts in New York where Courtney, 30 has decided she is tired of dating guys that she doesn't want a future with for one reason or another. She has decided to go to the matching site she has seen on TV. A lot like Married at first Site. She is determined to find a husband and start a life. She has investigated every angle and thinks this is the best way for her and her future.

    Every Friday after work she and her best friend go to the same bar for drinks and to wind down. Her friend usually goes home with someone else, but Courtney goes home alone. Their favorite bartender is always working and knows and flirts with both, but it never goes anywhere.

    Josh is a playwriter in the making. He has finished college and is working on his first play. He knows it may be years before he hits it big IF he ever does. He never dates customers as he is on a path and has a plan and it doesn't include a serious relationship. He can barely afford his own expenses and certainly cannot afford a wife. He stays single. He is attracted to Courtney, but he won't let himself let her know.

    Courtney comes from a family with money. She is used to the finer things in life. She doesn't have a good relationship with her parents. They are way too busy to deal with a child, an only child, so she was raised to be self-sufficient. She graduated college and has a great job. She makes in the 6 figures. This is when she declares she is going to go to a matchmaker and start the rest of her life.

    Josh doesn't want to get married, but he doesn't want to lose Courtney either. He is between a rock and a hard place. He has nothing to offer a wife, but he can't bare thinking of her being with another guy. He is unsure what to do as he really only knows Courtney on a superficial level. The matchmakers have found her a perfect match.

    This is an interesting beginning to their story. There has got to be storms ahead for these two. Since I always buy Ms. Regnery's books, I'll be waiting on the full-length story. It is going to be a good one as one learns that choices in life have consequences. Looks to be a good story. I definitely recommend reading this book to be ready for the big one.

    Courtney Jane Salinger is fed up with the dating scene at the age of 29. She dreams of the marriage, the white picket fence, children, and the minivan. So, one night sitting at her favorite bar with her best friend and favorite bar tender, she discusses her desire for marriage. Even going to far as to discuss the option of arranged marriage as so often done in her friend's Indian culture. Her friend, Dina, tries to talk her down from romanticizing arranged marriage. Her bartender, Josh, tries to talk to her about the advantages of dating. Neither make any headway. Once home, Courtney hears about a website that (for a fee) will help arrange a marriage for you. And Courtney says, "Sign me Up!" And so begins the wait for the Arranged Husband. Meanwhile, Courtney finds herself in need of an escort to a wedding. Why not ask bartender/friend Josh? And so begins the dating dance. Only Courtney refuses to date since she's waiting on Arranged Husband. Both Courtney and Josh realize the could have feelings for each other, but Courtney's on a path she refuses to deviate from. What's a guy to do? Well, he tries to change her mind. He tries to get her to give them a chance. When nothing works, desperate times call for desperate measures. Courtney will not be deterred, but when she gets to her wedding and sees her groom - well, shock is an understatement. Will she keep moving forward or chicken out? And, here we move to book 2.

    Exactly why Courtney is so unhappy with the dating scene isn't really clear. She hasn't found the One, but it really doesn't seem like she's had a string of bad breaks either. She definitely has a fairy tale kind of outlook on the whole thing. It works in India, so why not for her? It is very clear her expectations are very unrealistic. Stay tuned for Arrange Us to see how reality works out for her. Enjoy!

    I hate giving 3 stars for this book, but when the book starts off and gets good and then hits perfectly for the wedding and after that I didn't like one issues /disaster due to added in patents or ex girlfriends just to make it a cliffhanger. So not a fan of them, but if that's your cup of tea then go for it. I feel like this book had do much more potential and it could of been one heck of a story.

The lovely up-and-coming executive from a wealthy family, and the bartender by night, budding playwright the rest of the time. Two different worlds and two sets of goals. Marriage is all she wanted. And he thought it was madness . . . until he didn't. She whisked herself off to London to marry and honeymoon I Scotland _ to a complete stranger that is chosen by the online match site, Arrange Me. They had a couple of dates, but it was all Josh needed to know she was his and he was hers. So he shelled out his last cash to be her chosen mate and whisked himself off to London to claim his wife. I was a little dejected to reach the end and realize the story continues in another book. But I realize that you have a couple of strangers, while totally invested in each other and their unusual marriage, there is a LOT of adjusting ahead of them. Ms Regnery does it again with the passion, the feels and the whole ball of wax. I'm ready to one-click the next installment.

    It was not at all what I expected but it was really good. The plot is very different yet there is such a nice flow to the story that you'll love it. But I must confess I have mixed feelings about reading the sequel but that could be just me. If you live a sweet romance then go for this!
