I am a sucker for age-gap romance and Emily has written another winner! Ella and Elizabeth’s journey has the right amount of flirtation, angst and hot steamy sex to pull you in and keep wanting to know what happens next! If you are not familiar with Emily’s books, this is a great one to start with and you will definitely become a fan!

An enjoyable treat and quick read. I loved the characters and the story.
I'm a bit of an escapist reader, which means I don't have to have long drawn out histories to get me into the story. Just plop me down right into their lives and let it play out. I love that and this story puts you right there quickly.
Elizabeth and Ella are great characters to escape with.....and this IS fiction so don't plan on it relating details in minutiae and you'll enjoy the pace. Plus the minimum of les drama is another plus for me. Some drama, yes, but when the drama is the predominant thing I get weary of it, after all real life has plenty of drama already.
I enjoy happy stories and this has lots to be happy about.

I loved this book. I liked how they met when Ella was teaching an art class. I liked how they fell for each other so fast and in the end they were there for each for ever.

Liked the premise, rich girl/poor girl, age gap trope, but execution was average.

    Spoiler alert!

It wasn't believable that Elizabeth would throw away her career that she worked so hard for in the blink of an eye like that. Yeah, I know it's a short story but...

I really liked how this story started and where it was going. Ella was such a natural spirited proud individual who used her art to get through her life pressures especially growing up. Wanting always to be an artist. Elizabeth a director for a prominent art gallery had it all but just wanted to meet someone to share her life with but work always came first and kept her busy. When these two meet, their is an instant hot connection and lines blur between her art and love. Ella trusts Elizabeth and agrees to a gallery show, which is her dream. Then it all goes to hell. As the story unravels, us readers are busy yelling out do not do this!!! Elizabeth knows things are not right but she doesn’t have Ella’s back. Ella is heartbroken. The honesty of this story about two classes clashing is not so uncommon and it was nice to see how this ended especially in the special Epilogue issue. Emily Hayes is something else.

The story itself was really solid. I like the pacing and how it all played out. I wasn't a huge fan of the rushed ending, but that may be a personal preference. The sex scenes, vanilla though they were, were exciting and engaging and contributed a lot to the characters.
A little more showing and less telling would have made the characters feel a little more developed and helped the story flow better. It felt a little awkward in parts, like I was reading a list of information and not engaging fully.
That said, it was a good quick read that made me laugh at a couple points, and it was definitely hot.

Elizabeth is an art director who goes to an art school looking for some new talent for her gallery! She meets teacher Ella who is a struggling to get her work show! Can Elizabeth be her answer? Their chemistry is instantaneous! This is a fun and steamy read!
    I enjoyed it very much!

This book is fun and exciting to read and you won’t want to put it down. You might wonder what trauma will develop because every lesbian romance needs that.
