Thanks for coming to meet me. I love words, and I use them to make the world a happier place by creating people who are perfect for each other – although maybe they can’t see that to start with.

I began writing at my local radio station in New Zealand and never stopped. TV followed, then horticultural articles (because I'm a keen gardener). After several advertising agencies, I then spent happy years as a retail ad manager. Totally hooked on fabrics, I surprised everyone by going into the curtain installation business with my husband and working for some of the capital city’s top designers. Good for my body, and it freed up my brain to write fiction. I didn't fall off my ladder once through drifting into romantic dreams, but I’ve certainly seen many beautiful homes and met wonderful people, and I may just have stolen glimpses of them for the books. (I didn’t say that, did I?)

I write sexy contemporary romance under my real name and the Merry Summerfield cozy mysteries as Kristie Klewes. These are funny and flirty and absolutely clean. (Well - apart from the bloodstains!)

I’m the author of more than thirty novellas and novels, three of which were finalists in New Zealand’s Clendon Award. Each can be read as a stand-alone, but some make up linked series. I hope you enjoy them all.

My more recent romances are billionaire beach stories about the wealthy Wynn family in Scarlet Bay - Summer Sparks, Summer Secrets, and Summer Spice. And the new Promise books - Promise You Nothing and Promise You Plenty.

Kris es una chispeante autora de romántica contemporánea, pura y simplemente. ¡Bueno, quizá no tan pura!

CHRISTMAS TWIST is a standalone read with a happy ever after and a twist you won't see coming. It is a sexy read but there are no sex scenes so any age can read and enjoy. It starts off set in London but the majority of the book is set in New Zealand.

London has a group of young people, all friends and living close together. They are college students just starting their adult lives. Several of the group are couples, some serious and some just seriously having fun. In the group there is a set of identical twin males. One is outgoing, quite the charmer and ladies' man. He flits from one gal to the next whenever the mood suits him. He is quite attractive and the ladies don't mind that he goes through them like water in a sieve. The other twin, Alex is the quiet one. He is deep into his studies and doesn't really date at all. The time has come for them to all go their separate ways. Gabi will be returning to New Zealand but not before she has her turn with the charming Donny.

Twenty years later standing on her front porch is Donny. She is shocked. Two weeks after returning from London she discovered she was pregnant with twins. Donny was not the marrying kind so she never told him. She married, her husband was killed in an accident and there stands the biological father of her twins. Life is funny that way.

This is a short story so I won't tell a lot. It is a great love story. A big twist at the end you won't see coming. I loved this story. It is entertaining and interesting. A fun read and easy to see how strange life really is. Gabi is a lucky gal. I definitely highly recommend it.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 7/6/2020

I really enjoyed this story, which shocked me--I did not see that coming. Twenty years of not seeing someone, and they show up and bring back memories from the past. Can two people find happiness after all these years? Or will it only cause pain and sorrow?

Gabriella "Gabi" Clifton will live in London, England for a short period for school--but then return to her home in New Zealand. While in London, she has a group of friends, including one who becomes a lover, Donny Bennett. They both know this is just a passing fancy.

The story will play back and forth between England and New Zealand and Gabi's life, her time with Donny Bennett and their friends. Returning to New Zealand, she discovers she is expecting, but that is where Pete Sempleton enters the picture, marries Gabi, and raises her children as his. But now, Pete is gone, and Gabi is a widow. What a surprise when days before Christmas, Donny Bennett shows up at her door.

The story isn't that simple--not by a long shot, and WOW, can I say I did not see that coming--the truth will play out, and if Gabi still isn't coping with the past coming to her door---she is in for more shocking news.

"I'm furious with you, but I'm also amazed and pleased to see you."

The story is a roller-coaster ride, a delightful tale of the past and present colliding and a second chance romance. It has an eclectic cast of characters, the chemistry between two people, and what could have been a disaster, with a positive outcome. While I have read this author before, it has been quite some time, and I think I need to read more. The story is a fast-paced, page-turner that is easy to read in a sitting.

Gabriella met Donny while attending school in England. After a brief affair they parted company. She going back to New Zealand and him going back to uni to finish up 3 or 4 more years. After arriving home she found she was pregnant. She decided to marry a family friend that was unable to have children and he raised them as his own.

This is one of the best stories I've read recently.
