A Baby for Christmas (Oceanport Omegas Book 6) Kindle Edition
When Robin was three, his mother took him to the mall and then disappeared into the crowd of Christmas shoppers, never to be seen again. Growing up in foster care was hard, but finding out that he was omega gave him hope. Someday, he’d have his own family, better than the one that abandoned him. Problem is, he needs a partner. A good one. When his latest boyfriend dumps him—on Christmas Eve!—he ends up at his best friend Ben’s house. Ben used to be a fantastic partner, but he’s got his own demons, so Robin tries to be happy with just his friendship these days.
Ben’s always loved Robin, but as the fourth generation in a family that passes down abuse like it’s an heirloom, he’s decided to put an end to the pattern. He plans to never have children, for fear he’ll turn out just like his father, and so he keeps Robin at arm’s length. Until Robin goes into heat and all plans are turned upside down.
Robin is pregnant, a Christmas miracle. The start of the family he’s always wanted. But is Ben strong enough to overcome his fear and his family history? And can Robin, abandoned by so many, find the courage to trust Ben to stay?
***While this book can be read separately from the Oceanport series, it takes place in the same location and readers of the series might recognize one or two friendly faces around town.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2025This is a new to me Author. This is my first Book but not my last by ANN-KATRIN BYRDE. This is a Sweet Story about love in all its glory. Best Friends from childhood who took care of each other. Always there for each other and ready to become forever. It's just a BEAUTIFUL Book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2017First I think that I should mention that this is not really a Christmas-y book. The novel opens on Christmas Eve and that's the time of conception and we do check in with the family briefly for baby's first Christmas, but to me it didn't necessarily feel like a holiday book or scratch the Christmas itch. But let me hasten to say it was a very sweet read. Here are two guys who should be together except for the damage caused by a toxic family environment for Ben. Seeing Ben come around, fighting through his block, helped by learning to love and care for something else before the baby (sort of pre-parenting), was really rewarding. I loved that Robin was devoted to the cause of omegas who wanted to be something other than parents but also acknowledged his own desire to be a parent. As a teacher he was a strong role model and that was great for showing what a strong person he was. This is a solid friends-to-lovers story with the twist of the baby and having been lovers years ago. For everyone who ever had that fight with a lover or partner/spouse about wanting kids and never won them over, this is a home run read!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021A Baby for Christmas is the sixth and last book in the Oceanport Omegas series. Although I recommend reading all the books in this series, this book can be read as a standalone.
Robin and Ben are best friends who love each other, but can’t be together. Robin wants a family and Ben is too scared to commit. When a passionate night between Robin and Ben leaves Robin pregnant, both men will have to face and overcome their fears and hang-ups. This was a really sweet second-chance romance where both men had to unpack their own baggage before they could really become a family. I loved the romance between them.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2019This was an MM alpha-omega MPREG Christmas story, non-shifter, with a HEA. It was pretty short, pretty sweet, quite average and pretty uncomplicated story. Not lots of angst. No violence. Not very hot either in my opinion. Something quickly consumed without much effort. Suitable as such.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2021The book is sweet and written quite well. However, please correct your error in calling the dog from Fox and the Hound "Cooper". His name is Copper. That was such a huge distraction that you referenced the movie as being a favorite of both Ben and Robin but continually had his name incorrect.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2019Friends to lovers is my favorite trope, when done well like this romance. We don't get too much backstory but generally enough to understand how important Robin's and Ben's friendship is to them.
I'll second reviewers who pointed out that it isn't a Christmas book, per se. The book starts and ends at Christmas but it's a framing device, rather than integral to the plot.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2017Not much of a holiday book person but this one made me want to read more holiday books. It was sweet and the characters were so great. They were right all they needed was a little Faith. This author is my favorite and never disappoints me with any thing she writes. Can't get enough of her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2019A sweet story about second chsnces, faith, and trusting yourself. I really enjoyed the guys and how well they fit together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teacher and the pet.
Another lovely story. Last in the series which is sad. Would have liked a bit more connection with the previous characters, but still enjoyed it. Well done.

4.0 out of 5 stars A really cute Christmas story.
This is a Christmas second chance Alpha and Omega story and a good one at that. I really liked the two main characters Robin and Ben and their cute little dog Cooper. The story is pretty simple, Ben and Robin are best friends who once dated but broke up long ago. On Christmas Eve Robin gets dumped again and finds himself at his best friends house and then going into heat. After finding out he is pregnant both Robin and Ben must find away to deal with their own fears if they want to have a chance of making it work. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful edition

2.0 out of 5 stars Predictable , maybe ok as standalone
Wouldn't recommend as part of the series. Horribly predictable, no drama, no real character building and yes yet again the omega is pregnant! These should be renamed as Oceanport pregnant omegas! Sigh...read in 30 mins as skipped few pages here and there.....and believe me, didn't miss a thing!
Only fact that would slightly redeem rating is if read as standalone. Pity. Not sure what others are liking so much with all these good ratings. ..not what I am obviously.
