'This series is raising the standard for YA dystopian fiction, and I can't give it less than five stars' - AyJayPageFarer Book Blog

'The Battle Ground series is the most relevant series in and about the UK right now' -
Writing With Wolves Book Blog

'
Finding Fire and Other Stories feels a bit like reading the book equivalent of the director's cut of a film, full of deleted scenes, and bonus content ... I found it absolutely fascinating.' - Mai's Musings Book Blog

'Churcher gives us more of what we like, in this collection of short stories from her Battle Ground Series. It's a great addition to the series, filling in some of the gaps in our knowledge of the events and people involved, and adding in some new perspectives that were missing before.' - AyJayPageFarer Book Blog

'
Finding Fire is a wrap up of the loose ends left in the precious books. It covers how different characters got to the spots they did, and where they are headed to next. Without spoiling, I definitely shed a few tears.' - Jessica Belmont Book Blog

Award-winning YA author and passionate YA reader. Always looking for the next great YA novel, whether it's a dystopia with an awesome female lead, a historical adventure, or a contemporary High School drama.

SF and dystopia are my comfort zones, but I'll step outside my happy place in pursuit of a good story. I have a book-buying habit, and a large library at home (I think of it as a portal to other worlds). I love physical books, and curling up in front of the fire to read. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as too many books - just not enough book shelves.

'Battle Ground', Book One of my YA Battle Ground series, was published in July 2019. Book Two, 'False Flag', Book Three, 'Darkest Hour', Book Four, 'Fighting Back', and Book Five, 'Victory Day' are available now. A tie-in novel, 'Balancing Act' is also available, along with 'Finding Fire and Other Stories', a book of Battle Ground Series short stories.

My standalone LGBTQ+ 'finding yourself' movel, 'Angels', is available now. The perfect read for Pride Month!

The Battle Ground Series has been near and dear to my heart since I read the first book. It’s been quite a while since I stayed with a series and read the books as they came out. Rachel Churcher is an extraordinary writer and she’s created these characters that I’ve come to know and love.

Finding Fire is a wrap up of the lose ends left in the precious books. It covers how different characters got to the spots they did, and where they are headed to next. Without spoiling, I definitely shed a few tears.

Please read these books in order. If you read Finding Fire, you’ll spoil the entire series for yourself and be lost as well. Do yourself a favor and commit to reading this series. The way Rachel Churcher weaves these characters’ lives together is just top notch writing.

I think the bonus material of Rachel Chrucher‘s process while writing this series was such a neat addition. It just added to how special this series is.

    Highly recommended!!!

Thank you to Rachel Churcher for the review copy and chance to honestly review this book on publication day. All opinions are my own and unbiased.
