    The very first chapter is really crucial here because it made Sloane a human. And if people still thought of her only as a b*tch then nobody would have continued reading this story. But I'm glad I did. This one is my favourite of the series. I love how complicated Randall and Sloane's relationship is. How they are so rich and belong to the elite, but still have real problems. I love that Sloane tries to stay strong through it all, but she has to lean on Randall and be vulnerable. Randall is a real j*rk but I forgave him. I really don't want to spoiler though, so if you liked the first book in the series then you should read this too. Madison Michael is an amazing author.

    I did not like Sloane, she was a b*tch the whole book. She was a snob and in the beginning she appeared as a gold digger, she was going to marry Wyatt not because she loved him (because she didn't) but because of his wealth and social standing! She was a total social snob! The book is a bit confusing at times, in the prologue Sloane talks about Wyatt proposing with a 9 carat ring she's been eyeing but he hasn't but he also hasn't refuted their future together when friends ask he about marriage. The book jumps by weeks and even months from one chapter to the next and there are misspelled words and words added or missing from sentences, this book really needs a proofreader or editor!! Once you start reading the book you will see that it says Sloane was engaged to Wyatt...what?? When did that happened?? I did like Randall. I he really cared about Sloane and he was always trying. Although, I did not like him when he drank!!! Randall and Sloane fought more then anything else and she totally acted like a child, not talking to him, not even telling him why she was mad at him or what he did, that's no way to have a relatationship!! They had a LOT of sex and I love hot and heavy sex scenes but when that's all they have, it doesn't make for good reading. Either they were fighting or having sex. I will be deleting this one from my kindle. Oh and it's really 2 1/2 stars

    I love this book. It has so much heart.. It also has a different and interesting story. I love the characters. Not just the main characters, the author took time to really bring out the men and their girls. It was very well edited, too, or the author kept me so fascinated that I didn't notice any. That is so important. Some books are hard to really enjoy because of poor editing. I will read more of Madison's books. This was my first.

    Just read Beholden. I was glued to it till 3:00am as I lay in bed. Fell
    asleep and was woken up by my iPhone hitting me in the face. That was jarring. While Sloan was an entitled brat in the beginning, she had an epiphany during the tough times she endured and Randall had a large impact on straightening her out. I really enjoyed this book. We all deserve a second chance to realize our mistakes and change for the better.
