Sometimes the bad guys play out of bounds.
Our world is plagued by the devious schemes of disguised cheaters and thieves. The worst of these frauds are perpetrated by prominent figures—powerful people with sincere smiles, boundless ambitions, and flexible souls. They play on hope, fear and pride while stealing billions right before our eyes.
This is the story of one such group. Although thoroughly unpredictable, it’s inspired by true events.
Created using the same compelling mix of savvy plotting, rapid pacing, and clever conundrums that turned the first four Kyle Achilles books into international bestsellers, Boundless Ambition gives you heroes to love, villains to hate, and puzzles to solve. It’s a story destined to delight both new comers and avid Tim Tigner fans.

About the Author
With the fall of the Berlin Wall, Tim switched from espionage to arbitrage. Armed with a Wharton MBA rather than a Colt M16, he moved to Moscow in the midst of Perestroika. There, he lead prominent multinational medical companies, worked with cosmonauts on the MIR Space Station (from Earth, alas) chaired the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, and helped write Russia's first law on healthcare.
Moving to Brussels during the formation of the EU, Tim ran Europe, Middle East and Africa for a Johnson &Johnson company and traveled like a character in a Robert Ludlum novel. He eventually landed in Silicon Valley, where he launched new medical technologies as a startup CEO.
Intent on combining his creativity with his experience, Tim began writing thrillers in 1996 from an apartment overlooking Moscow's Gorky Park. Twenty years later, his passion for creative writing continues to grow every day. His home office now overlooks a vineyard in Northern California, where he lives with his wife Elena and their two daughters.
Tim grew up in the Midwest, and graduated from Hanover College with a BA in Philosophy and Mathematics. After military service and work as a financial analyst and foreign-exchange trader, he earned an MBA in Finance and an MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton and Lauder schools.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2020How do you say no when the sitting POTUS asks you to “steal” a prototype of an ultra-powerful missile that could pose a threat to the U.S.? Being the patriot he is, Kyle Achilles responds positively which is the only answer he can give considering the way he’s wired. With such a firmly ingrained sense of right and wrong, the question has gone from IF he’ll do it to HOW he’ll get it done. The other issue is this mission will interrupt the vacation in Fiji that he and Katya had planned. Achilles agrees to have Katya accompany him and as soon as he wraps up the assignment they can leave for Fiji. Sound like a plan? Yeah, they thought so too. But the C-4 consortium behind this plot to alter the world order has a different agenda.
As the action unfolds on a container ship, the WH Chief of Staff tries to murder Achilles and in the melee, Katya is shot in the leg and falls overboard. Achilles is focused on dispensing with his assailant and getting to Katya in time to save her, IF she’s still alive. The harrowing rescue attempt is a nail biter to be sure but it stretched the limits of credibility for this reader. Still, it makes for an exciting read. And that’s only the beginning!
“Boundless Ambition” is Tim Tigner’s 5th book in the Kyle Achilles series and my new favorite of all his books. His writing style is clean and crisp and action packed. The pacing is near perfect, never flagging, but smoothly carrying the reader along for the ride. I especially enjoyed having Katya as an integral part of the story. As a character she’s so much more than arm candy and it was fun to see how her mathematician’s brain works out non-math problems. It’s also refreshing to see a female character so fully fleshed out without using her looks as a crutch. Thank you Tim Tigner.
This novel is packed with all the elements needed for a powerful thriller. Political intrigue, competing world powers, greedy multi billionaire CEOs, and Achilles on a quest for justice and revenge. Yeah, that revenge part caught me up too but Achilles is justified in seeking vengeance. At least in HIS mind it’s justified. Who are we to say otherwise? Five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scary, yet plausible thriller because it is all possible based on people’s greed.
Fascinating but scary thriller because everything that happens is plausible and could change democracy as we know it. Well plotted and full of nail-biting action. Sure to keep you reading long past your bedtime.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2020I can't get enough of Tim Tigner! His books are so fascinating with truly one of a kind plots and characters. Boundless Ambition is no exception and it will keep you reading long into the night. I was so engrossed with it while on the treadmill that the miles flew by and it shut me off I was on it so long! Like always the plot is so unique and also quite terrifying to think of as reality. I love that Kyle is a true patriot and that at least someone in the government can be trusted with the fate of the American people and the world. I was also soooo happy that Katya was by Kyle's side and I hope that she doesn't go the way of Mitch Rapp's significant others in the future! They are so powerful as a duo and offer something so different than other political thrillers. Kyle is one badass character and I love that he is so developed and reads as a real person with such depth and uniqueness. I think Tim's own remarkable life and story give such a different perspective to these characters and they just come to life as one of a kind amazing and fascinating people. I wish I could binge read some more of his books, but sadly I have read them all and now have to await the next release. I tried to savor this one because it just came out, but I just couldn't make myself put it down. Maybe they'll make a movie or series out of the books. Come on Amazon, the people would love it! Thanks for another great read Mr. Tigner!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2020As usual, the author has produced a good thriller with a lot of research and, accurate details that add to the suspense. The ending was a little less dramatic than I had hoped but I have to admit I was still guessing at the end! Well worth the read and hard to put down. Please keep the Kyle Achilles series going!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020'What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive'... Sir Walter Scott penned these words many years ago, and these words are so appropriate for this latest novel by Mr. Tigner.
Three CEO's (C3) devise a plan for the next election to control some Cabinet members including the Secretary of Defense, Homeland Security, Energy, and the Chief of Staff through devious and cunning actions. It is a cooperative effort which requires coordination among the three CEO's. Ingenious and it is a well thought out scheme which appears to be be impenetrable and undetectable, as well. Operation 51 is in play.
None of the three CEO's expected Achilles and Katya to be in the mix of their plans. Psychological ploys are utilized by Achilles and Katya to give them that needed edge. Thought the use of Rohyponol added an interesting mix to this novel...
The plot is multi-dimensional, characters are well defined, action is both intriguing and intense and the novel is extremely well written. For me, the addition of strong female characters adds to the novel. Add the political aspect and the reader is in for a exciting read.
Fascinating read for me...
Most highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great yarn
The book contains so many twists and turns that the reader is left with following the protagonists through the maze that Tim has created. The conspiracy revealed by unconventional means is heart-stopping. Thoroughly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great characters, well researched, fun read
I have read all of Mr Tigner's books and recommend them to my friends. They are fun reads, and the characters are always fleshed out, unlike some other action stories where characters are one dimensional cartoons. What makes Mr Tigner's books fun is that each has at its core a premise that is slowly revealed during the course of the read. The premise is usually fantastical, and so it is left to the reader to believe it or not, or simply suspend disbelief to read a well crafted story. Without giving away that premise for this story, as a Canadian I cannot believe that any thinking person would actually belief it, as there is simply no motive for doing it. Still, I loved reading the story and can't wait for the next installment featuring Kyle and Katya Achilles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concept
As a Canadian, reading about Canada from an American’s perspective, this was an interesting story. I was impressed by how much the author got right, fairly unusual when American authors reference Canada. Mr Tigner does his research and spins a good yarn. Well worth the reading.
