Balked of her dream of becoming Captain JANE Kirk of the Starship Enterprise, Anne kept writing while wandering through a variety of careers as engineer, diplomat, planner, and public relations specialist. Writing isn't nearly as exciting, adventurous, or sexy as commanding a starship, but it's still a challenge and, on the days when it goes well, a heck of a lot of fun.
