Publisher Description
The spirit of a dead man goes viral.
He comes from a realm where the souls—not the bodies—of the departed are interred.
Left unattended, his lost spirit spreads like a disease, possessing dozens of people, seeking to fulfill an ancient prophecy—to become one with Mara Lantern and initiate a metaphysical apocalypse that would change the very nature of reality.
--------
Join Mara Lantern and her companions in a seven-volume science fiction adventure through reality, time and space, where they encounter everything from steampunk dream worlds to artificial humans, from dragons to disembodied spirits, where metaphysics is science and magic is just one belief from coming true.

Customer Reviews
Dangit! Darny darn DARN!
Ugh, I was so close to callin’ it quits. After the first review, you know, of the first book.. By the near-end of this book I was close to giving up. I keep feeling like the main character won’t quite learn, because that’s what this author wants. But, dangit, right at the end..!
Like, THE last sentence, “Hi Daddy!”... totally not fair (lol). In all fairness, the characters HAVE grown. The plot is growing to be more epic, a very distinct signpost (if not a turning-point in this author’s universe) which is interesting. Really though, as the Father of a 7-year-old Daughter, I HAVE to at least start this next book.
As I said in my review of the first book, I can’t stand to “see” good people getting hurt. The main character is sooo capable and strong. I need to see her exhibit more backbone, and less self doubt.
Mainly based on this book’s last sentence, I’ll buy in for 1 more book. I’m not one to throw away money, but I’ll quit in the middle of it and never return if I don’t feel Mara is really handling it.
