To infiltrate a gang of criminals, Bryce starts to date the daughter of the gang’s leader. But can he remain loyal to his team when he starts falling in love?

Bryce Green owes his freedom to the Indie Rebels, and he repays the secretive crime-fighting group by becoming one of them. His most daring assignment so far is to infiltrate a notorious syndicate hell-bent on the IR’s destruction. To his shock, he discovers that a woman from his past is the crime lord’s daughter. Now, he has to woo her to get his foot into the syndicate’s door.

When Emma Fern decides to reconcile with her estranged father, she discovers that the Fern family is embroiled in a conflict with a powerful group called the Indie Rebels. Denying any wrongdoing, Emma’s father wants her to agree to invasive security measures. Miranda P. Charles writes steamy, stirring and swoonworthy contemporary romance, romcom, and romantic suspense books.

She prefers to spend her time in front of her laptop, putting into words the stories that play in her head. Don't get her started with reading a great book, though, because she tends not to put it down until she gets to the last page.

She does have a life outside of books. Mostly, that consists of bonding with family and friends or going on romantic trips with her awesome husband.

She lives in Sydney, Australia.

    New author to me.

Loved this book and whole series. Great storylines, great backstories for the characters, feisty and smart females, alpha males not afraid to love. Great suspense romance. Definitely reading this author again.

This is a great second chance love story and a story of two people who have so much in common. Yet they really don’t know. I love the romance and the attraction that Bryce and Emma both have for each other. The fact that Emma doesn’t even know her father is a crime boss makes it innocent. Bryce knows his was but was stuck between a rock and a hard place. If you read Jaxson you know that. Jaxson and Bryce are brothers both are part of the IR. The twist in this book keep you wanting to turn to the next page. I loved how they had their fling of passion and when they meet again even though she doesn’t know everything they get to know each other. There is a lot for drama and heartbreak . But love and good prevail. This is a great book to read.

Wow, this story is so full of drama, is intense, has mafia type connections, and the thought of trying to pull an unsuspecting daughter into it. Trying to infiltrate this group, shut them down an be very dangerous, if not deadly.

This second chance at love is not a normal mafia romance. It is exciting and fun with a dash of danger. More lovey than sexy but still has action.

Now that Bryce is free from his criminal family and involved with the Indie Rebels, he's trying his best to prove himself to them. So when his newest assignment is to "infiltrate the Fixers so they could stop Jester and Addison from destroying the Indie Rebels." he's not all that thrilled that Emma, the woman he had a fling with two years ago, is part of the criminal underground he's trying to take down. But wait, he can get close to her using their previous fling, and it will help him in his assignment. If he could just remember she's the daughter of a man he and the Rebels despise, he'll be fine. Right?

I really liked the previous book in this series, Jaxon, which was Bryce's brother's story, and Bryce and Emma's story is just as good. It interweaves the mystery with the romance seamlessly and Emma and Bryce are great together. Definitely looking forward to the next one in this series.

I love this series! Bryce Green is one of the Indie Rebels, but it was a long road to get there. His father was the head of a criminal syndicate, and pulled him into the life. Luckily his brother never got involved and is also one of the Indie Rebels. Bryce helped bring his father’s group down. Emma Fern is the daughter of the head of a criminal group trying to take the Indie Rebels down. Emma has no idea what her father does as she has had no contact with him since her parents divorced when she was young. Her mother passed away and her father contacted her, so she is giving him a chance. The Indie Rebels assign Bryce to get close to help them find the Jester who is a computer hack and trying to take them down. This is no hardship for Bryce as they met two years ago and had a fling. They lived in different places and knew there was no hope for a relationship. Bryce hasn’t forgot Emma and neither has Emma forgotten Bryce. Emma has been told that the Indie Rebels are bad and they framed Emma’s uncle who is in jail. Of course Bryce can’t let her know he is part of the group.

This book has intrigue, betrayal, lies, and love. I love books that I don’t want to put down as I want to know what is happening next. This is that type of book. I felt bad for Emma that she had no idea what her father’s side of the family was into. She is such a nice person and wanted to belong to a family. Bryce did a good job of taking care of Emma while trying to find the Jester. I loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Miranda's star-crossed love stories are entertaining and frustrating at the same time.

Bryce is the son of a former mob boss who didn't want to be like his father - destroying lives and enslaving people by fear. He's also a member of a vigilante group that is trying to bring down his father's rival and the rival mob.

Emma is grieving the loss of her mother and is also the daughter of a rival mob boss although she doesn't know it. Emma has a hard time with relationships because she doesn't feel worthy due to abandonment issues with her father when she was a young girl.

A chance meeting while Emma was on vacation at a posh resort where Bryce was working security resulted in a holiday romance that neither could forget. This book is where their love story picks back up with plenty of twists and turns.

Better start reading the evening of your first night off, you won't want to put this book down.

I received an advance free copy of this and am voluntarily leaving a review.
