Burn the Ships : A Steamy Enemies to Lovers, Sexy, Grumpy, Hero with Cerebral Palsy Romance (The Andersley Series 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 36 ratings

I may not hate him enough to kick his crutches out from under him, but I will stoop to giving him unflattering nicknames.

All editor Pippa Sinclair wants is to finish the impossibly last minute writing project she’s taken on in a desperate attempt to secure an early release from her work contract.

However, the chances of meeting her deadline go from barely possible to all but impossible when work enemy Hadrian Hastings is assigned as her project editor.

As someone with cerebral palsy himself, Hastings takes a dim view of her pro forma attitude towards the project she’s working on: a romance novel featuring a male hero with a similar form of CP.

So a desperate and frustrated beyond belief Pippa challenges her rival to act as her sensitivity consultant only to discover, as Hadrian’s consultations become increasingly more intimate, that she may not hate the man quite as much as she thought…

Burn the Ships is a sexy, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, workplace rescue romance featuring a sexy, slightly grumpy beta hero with cerebral palsy and spunky heroine determined to overcome her self-destructive Girl Friday ways. HEA Guaranteed.

*This novel is part of a larger series but can be read as a standalone.

So much spice! Fell in love with the characters and the way their relationship develops. Must read and love the inclusion of a MMC with CP

I love this story. I read it in a single sitting. The open communication between these two is inspiring. The sexiness is exhilarating. The epilogue gave me shivers — in the best way.

If you already bought "High Horse Bastard" then you have no reason to buy this book. Amazon didn't indicate that I already purchased this book. It's a great story if you haven't read it.

I saw this book on booktok and decided to read it. It does have cute tense between Hadrian and Pippa. I would not trope this as enemies to lover but just like what it says in the title a grumpy hero romance. Be warned that the sexual tension is there and the first time is a fade to black. There are some scenes where Hadrian describes the things that he would do to Pippa and then it fades to black (my guess they actually do it). But this was an enjoyable read that I finished within one sitting, and I will be continuing the series.
