And yet, it is not all sunshine, unicorns, and rainbows shining through the lines of Northwood’s colorful prose. These stanzas are written with so much insight and care, they elicit strong emotions, beckoning the reader to delve deeper and find the true meaning of this poet’s words. Innocence, joy, and bliss give way to loss, regret, and mourning before wisdom, acceptance, and hope finally resolve in this building crescendo of writings, all geared toward revealing the true wonder majesty that is life.     From the childlike onomatopoeia in “The Surprise,” to the haunting, alliteration in “The Wind is Howling,” Butterfly Dreams is a lovely lyrical collection of poems.

    The poems unravel like narratives, delving into themes that are, by turns, soothing, romantic, and unsettling. The added elements of fantasy spark the imagination and inspire the soul.

    A collection of unique and magical poem's featuring a unicorn called Jessie. Also Picnics in the sky. Which i think is just the best thing ever reader's young or old will enjoy this book. The author has a way lighting up even the darkest day's with her word's. Enjoy this collection of poem's i know i did.

    I have to admit. I am not one for purposely reading a book of poetry but I was drawn in by the authors description on how it can take you to another world.
    I couldn’t believe that I thoroughly enjoyed the book and my only negative is that it ended, I wanted to read on.
    I have to mention that my favourite poem was ‘Rainbows Foretold it’, I wasn’t quite expecting to be moved to tears. I connect with this on a few different levels.
    Sarah was right, you do have time out for your when readings her book.
    I look forward to reading Sarah’s work.
