    It didn't end on a cliffhanger but there is more to the story quite obviously.

    Proofreading was poor and definitely needs to improve. Sorry but I have to mention it every time.

    I was hoping that we would learn more about Eve and Nyx's relationship but it was just a blip. Curious about Emily the newcomer.

Maybe it's that I missed Dark Root so much (it has been a year since Maggie's last adventure), or maybe it's just the fresh POV of such innocent characters, but I couldn't put the book down. I was easily drawn into the forests of Dark Root, imagining the scenery all around me. The story was gripping, even heart-stopping at times. I'm so excited for the rest of this series!

    I have read all of them up till now. A couple of them, I couldn't put down. It's been a long time since I have been so engrossed in a book that I just read it throughout the day and night.

    I have enjoyed every single one of them. I can't pick a favorite because I just want them to keep going on. My one downfall is that I am at end of the series and it will be so hard finding something to read next.

    I gave this book 3 stars because I still have some issues with Maggie. She is still scared of everything. Even after visiting the Netherworld and returning home she acts like a young witch still. And why are the men always absent for most of the books. The women seem to be weak and uncertain without them. These sisters should be stronger if they're going to be raising the next generation. I hope the next book is better.

Isn’t she, Maggie?” “Yes,” I agreed, surprised by the sting of jealousy that followed his words. He had once said the same thing about me”. An adult woman is jealous because the father of her child calls their daughter the most beautiful girl in the world? How old is this chick, 14?
