Another intriguing and well written favorite from Aasheim! I always enjoy her books

I really enjoyed this read and I liked that the story was told from different character perspectives so that we got the whole picture.

It didn't end on a cliffhanger but there is more to the story quite obviously.

Proofreading was poor and definitely needs to improve. Sorry but I have to mention it every time.

I was hoping that we would learn more about Eve and Nyx's relationship but it was just a blip. Curious about Emily the newcomer.

    Where is Maggie cat???

Very entertaining series, made more intense with the children as the focus. It's tough to be parenting precocious witchy kids and saving the town (world?) too. Well done!

I loved this first book of the conclusion to Dark Root. It was a wonderful journey with all of the old crew and their kids. I can't wait to see where they take the story in book 2.

From the get-go, Inherited Magick grabs you and pulls you into Dark Root. Maybe it's that I missed Dark Root so much (it has been a year since Maggie's last adventure), or maybe it's just the fresh POV of such innocent characters, but I couldn't put the book down. I was easily drawn into the forests of Dark Root, imagining the scenery all around me. The story was gripping, even heart-stopping at times. I'm so excited for the rest of this series!

This book continues with the Dark Root series, focusing a lot on the children. The book seems to be setting up for more stories about this younger generation as they learn more about their already strong powers and the history of their family.

I have read all of them up till now. A couple of them, I couldn't put down. It's been a long time since I have been so engrossed in a book that I just read it throughout the day and night.

I have enjoyed every single one of them. I can't pick a favorite because I just want them to keep going on. My one downfall is that I am at end of the series and it will be so hard finding something to read next.

I gave this book 3 stars because I still have some issues with Maggie. She is still scared of everything. Even after visiting the Netherworld and returning home she acts like a young witch still. And why are the men always absent for most of the books. The women seem to be weak and uncertain without them. These sisters should be stronger if they're going to be raising the next generation. I hope the next book is better.

This book was great. It carries on the story of Maggie’s children and their adventures with their cousins. It even gives each of the girls , Montana and June bug a little say.

3.0 out of 5 stars Immature characters, engaging story. Hard to decide

The Young adult characters are like spoiled rotten teenagers, the way they think, the way they perceive the world, the way they look at their children. The story is fun but the author needs to try to make her characters less flaky. The quote that finally got me to write a review is this “Shane would chortle, carrying her tight against his chest, so that she could see over his shoulders. “You’re the most beautiful girl in the entire world. Isn’t she, Maggie?” “Yes,” I agreed, surprised by the sting of jealousy that followed his words. He had once said the same thing about me”. An adult woman is jealous because the father of her child calls their daughter the most beautiful girl in the world? How old is this chick, 14?
