Being in love with your best friend when she doesn’t see you that way is rough but when your best friend is the one who makes the first move and then ghost you, it tears your heart out. Jess at 18 left town to heal after what Holly did to her but now she is back home after 14 years and will not let herself get sucked in. Holly who knows she mistreated Jess and has loved her but has made many bad decisions,one leaving her with a daughter. The story unravels as they run into each other at the local store and Holly decides she is going to get Jess back. This was a very sweet second chance romance. Emily Hayes does it again.

    Holly had broken Jess's heart 14 years ago. Jess has never stopped loving her but does she want to take the chance and have it happen all over again? This is really a well told story with just the right amount of doubt and angst. It doesn't hurt to have a 4 year old on your side. I liked this Christmas story a lot and definitely recommend it. Thank you, Emily, for another book to add to my collection. Oh, the epilogue is not to be missed!!!!!!
