ANGELS ON THE ROOFTOP (A Christmas Valley Romance, Book 6)(55,444 words)

Goodbye Tinsel Town...

Lachlan Campbell has called it quits in Hollywood. He’s tired of the razzle-dazzle, fed up with making movies, and ready for the quiet life. Stolen as a child, he was adopted by a family who loved him, but his adoptive parents are gone now.

His sister Rory’s settled in Christmas Valley, and of all things, she’s found his birth parents. Lachlan decides the back of nowhere is exactly what he’s looking for, and it will give him an opportunity to get to know his birth parents.

He doesn’t expect to find the woman of his dreams there, especially since he didn’t even know he was looking for her. The problem is, Jossamyn Lamb isn’t the least bit impressed with Mr. Hollywood. Or at least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Lachlan didn’t get to be one of the highest-paid stars in Tinsel Town by sitting back and letting things happen. He’s bound and determined to convince Joss to marry him. Of course, he has a little help he doesn’t know about...two guardian angels, perched on the rooftop, matchmaking. They’ve got their orders and a deadline from the Big Guy. They have eight days, and if they don’t get Lachlan and Jossamyn together by New Year’s Eve, no wings!

Ann Simas lives in Oregon, but she is a Colorado girl at heart, having grown up in the Rocky Mountains. She has been an avid reader since childhood and penned her first fiction "book" in high school. She particularly likes to write mystery/suspense/thriller with a love story and paranormal or supernatural elements. She is a three-time RWA Golden Heart Finalist. Simas currently has 42 books in print. All are available in both paperback and in ebook format.

An award-winning watercolorist and a budding photographer, Ann also enjoys needlework and gardening in her spare time. She is her family's "genealogist" and has been blessed with the opportunity to conduct first-hand research in Italy for both her writing and her family tree. The genealogy research from decade's old documents in Italian, she says, has been a supreme but gratifying challenge.

Angels on the Rooftop is a wonderful, romantic holiday tale. The plotline was first-class and the characters were likable and easy to relate to.
I didn't care for the Guardian Angels on the rooftop subplot. It felt forced & unnecessary.

I look forward to spending time in Christmas Valley with Ann Simas books. Ann tells the stories of various residents and how they relate to each other. This particular book has two angels on a timeline overseeing a couple as they fall in love. Wonderful and entertaining stories.

liked this story. I give it a 3.5 overall. I liked Lachlan and Joss a lot...though I didn't like how much Joss wavered so much when it came to her feelings for him. I liked the secondary characters as well. I thought Lachlan's parents were wonderful caring people. I thought that aspect of the story was interesting and so nice that him and his family were reunited. I would think others who enjoy Christmas romances would enjoy this one.

First, I want to thank Ann Simas for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
For the past few years I have looked forward to Ann Simas putting out some Christmas books this time of year. She always writes the cutest short stories with the perfect cover. This time around she wrote the book Angels o the Roof Top. The cover this time around looked like a Christmas card just waiting to be opened.
If you have read her Christmas books in the past you will notice a familiar reference to them. She had mentioned Fruity Cakes which was one of her past books she had read. The fact that she mentioned it In the book and I picked up on it brought a smile to my face.
In the book she a cute picture of an angel. Below the angel is a saying. Do you believe in guardian angels? They believe in you.
“The guardian angels of life fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us.” -Jean Paul Richter
I could totally relate to the conversation about the boyfriends. The fact that she didn’t have much luck with guys and that they all cheat on her.
I’m a big fan of pop culture and celebrities. With that being said I liked that Ann put in a celebrity character in her book this time around. It made for an interesting read.
There was some pretty hot and steamy make out sessions towards the end of the book.

He loves her from the minute he laid eyes on her. The mystery of who he is has came out previously and he is starting to remember bits and pieces of his memory. She n her neighbor has just basically lost the place to live and she n her neighbor are to be homeless. He steps in and fixes it and starts helping both of them even her neighbors kids love him. He wants to marry her on new year's Eve and is adamant about it for some reason. The two angels are trying their best to make sure they get together. You may need tissues for this book

    Angels on the Rooftop
    By Ann Simas

This book has an adorable tale about Jossamyn & Lachlan. Loss is an artist who does work on storefront windows, but doesn’t realize her work is so good she should do a show. Lach is an actor has decided to give that all up.

Sparks fly for Joss when she meets Lach, but why would he want her when he could have any woman he wanted. But little does she know that the sparks did fly for Lach. He is love with her more and more as each day passes.

Now this whole time their guardian angels are watching them. They need to make sure that Joss & Lach get together by New Year’s Eve or they won’t get their wings. So they come up with a plan to get them to spend more time together. But does this plan work? Or does it drive them apart? This was such a delightful story to read. I really enjoyed reading about Joss & Lach.

Love her in dept stories. As well as her book characters. This book is quiet cute. It has some steamy little bits with a lot of laughs, plus two stubborn people. Who need to over come their insecurities to do what needs to be done.
Two angels called Rufus and Rinah have a mission from the big guy above. In order to get their wings, they must get two people together. And have them tie the knot On Dec 31st. Can they get this down without going human to push them together more.

I was immediately whisked off to another world and was so engrossed in the book that I did not realise I finished it as quickly as I did. I loved the characters and the book had some good laugh out loud moments.
