Turning Tide: An MM Small Beach Town Romance (The Changing Tides Trilogy Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 29 ratings

No good can come from one night with a gorgeous stranger.

Dylan has one rule: Never, ever, sleep with his guests at The Changing Tides. He learned that lesson the hard way. When he finds out the enticing stranger he brought to his bed is actually a guest, Dylan tries to tear himself away. But Dylan yearns for more and is tempted to break his one rule—again and again and again.

Cole didn't expect to end up in bed with a delicious stranger his first night in town. When that stranger turns out to be the owner of The Changing Tides? That's a complication. Because Cole has a secret. He's the mastermind behind the new resort coming to town—the one that could put the town's favorite inn out of business.

A hunger this strong must be sated, and they're helpless to resist. As they give in, something deeper—a piece that's been missing—slots into place. But when a secret is exposed, it has the power to destroy everything they’ve worked for—including the love they’ve discovered.

Welcome to The Changing Tides Inn, the perfect getaway for those looking for a little romance on their vacation. Turning Tide is the third and final 60,000 word novel documenting the inn’s (and owner’s) impact on the lives of its guests and can be read as a standalone. Follow the guests’ journeys into love and be assured there will always be a happily ever after.

I am so glad that Dylan finally got his HEA. He has been such an integral part of the series so far but he was always on he outside looking in. The storyline and development of his relationship with Cole was beautifully done and the added details and characters from previous books made it a pleasure to read. This review is an honest and unbiased reflection of my thoughts after reading an ARC. However, I fell in love with the series so I purchased a copy for my personal library.

After getting to know Dylan as a side character, it’s now his turn to find love. Not that he’s looking. In fact, it actually found him.

One night stands are supposed to just be that...one night, and quite often you don’t see them again. Oops. Life is funny sometimes. Turns out Dylan’s ONS (Cole) is actually a guest at his bed and breakfast. Big oops. Dylan doesn’t make a habit of mixing business with pleasure, especially since being put through the wringer, emotionally and physically, with a previous guest. Too bad their chemistry is through the roof. They are both drawn to each other, and finally just throw caution to the wind. Consequences can be dealt with later. Speaking of consequences, Cole is sitting on a big secret, and when it’s revealed, it will change everything.

This is the third book in the series, and like the others, it can be read as a stand-alone, although you will find enjoyment in reading them in order. The same characters are shared in each book. So, we get to catch up with previous couples. That’s one aspect I love about series. Their stories don’t completely end until the series ends.

This was a delightful read. I’ve enjoyed Dylan in each book, and I was pleased with how his story played out. Cole was charming, thoughtful, and was lonely. His life hadn’t been conducive to relationships, and, after his first night with Dylan, he began questioning his choices. These men were perfect for each other. I knew it long before they ever did, and I was dying from anticipation over them catching up.

The author does a really good job weaving these stories together, and I’m secretly hoping there’s more to the series. Grayson needs love, don’t you think? I certainly do!

As book three in this series I was so enjoyed to read Dylan and Cole’s story. It did not disappoint. Loved the storyline it was a little nail biting but as always the secrets are reviled and the characters love shines through. Loved there romantic adventure and hope there is more of this series to come.

Turning Tide was a good standalone within a series set in a small seaside town in Oregon. I really liked the setup of this story and felt invested in Dylan and Cole’s happily-ever-after.

Dylan and Cole start as a one-night-stand, but quickly find they want to go back for more. While this isn’t a new, unique meet-cute, it worked well. I liked the way their casual relationship morphed over the course of the book and how the author transitioned their physical chemistry to a deeper bond. I also found the link between the men, unbeknownst to Dylan, an interesting plotline. In fact, I was surprised by some of the twists the plot (and characters) encountered and it definitely kept me engaged throughout the story.

Though Turning Tide had a good amount of drama and conflict at points, it read more like a low angst romance to me and I’d classify this book as a comfortable, weekend read. I did find the emotional connection and chemistry between Dylan and Cole a little less poignant than the physical spark between them, but I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to those who like easy romances.

Such an exquisite ending to this series!

I never thought in reading books 1 & 2 that Dylan would have such a heart breaking history. While reading the previous books, it appears that he is a solid friend that runs a successful inn. He's a smiling, friendly face that will feed you when you're in need of a meal, be a shoulder to cry on, and provide you with a gentle nudge with different perspective.

Cole is a well off gentleman who is getting to know Dylan while having a secret of his own. In spite of knowing his secret could ruin the beginning of a lifelong relationship, he continues to forge on telling himself that it will be okay if he waits to tell Dylan.

Will Dylan's past repeat itself? Will Cole turn out to be just like Adam? Can Cole show Dylan that even though it was only to be a one night stand, they have what it takes to make all their dreams come true?

A nice end to the series. With the third book in the Changing Tides series, we finally get Dylan's story. Dylan is the owner of the bed and breakfast where characters from books 1 and 2 stayed. He has been through a lot and almost lost his B&B in the past. Cole comes to town to help build the new hotel going in across the street. He just fails to mention that he is the one that partially owns the company that is building it. With an omission like that, you know the two are going to have a rocky start to their instant chemical attraction. But the road to their HEA is worth it. A really good read. The author creates characters that you can really relate to and I also enjoyed seeing the guys from the first two books in this one as supporting characters. I recommend this whole series! I did read an ARC but that didn't alter my opinion of the book. It was very good!
