    Loved this story. Both characters Gave and Rebecca have suffered traumas in their own rights and have coped differently. He closed off and shit down when faced with the reminder of what he lost. And she just isolated herself from all hurt and possible loss. Loved the fact that despite her pretty severe anxiety she still was fierce and had ‘spice’ as Gabe likes to say and told him off when he was being an ass without considering her research. Once they called a truce and became friends they were adorable together. And balanced each other beautifully. Didn’t like the slight angst but it’s needed for the pull of the book but I hate that it was a forced pain that didn’t need to be suffered because she wasn’t ready to accept his love. But loved them together.

Your heart reaches out to her when you find out why she is the way she is. She knows what she is doing when it comes to the nutrition aspect of the players. When it comes to Dr. Gabe you will love the chemistry and the way things unfold between Rebecca and Gabe. I loved every moment of this one. Rebecca and Gabe will just pull you in and won't let go.     Rebecca looks after the diets of the Gold Hockey team. She is crippled by anxiety but tries to push through. Gabe is the teams doctor and is curt and dismissive of her until one day he tells her, in anger, that he likes her. Can they each push through to see the person underneath? Can they overcome their own fears to create something lasting? I loved this book for the fragility of the characters and the strength they harboured. A great read that had me longing for their HEA.

This came to a head when Rebecca who didn't realise that she was a lot stronger than she thought pushed back at Gabe. Gabe had feelings for her. Could they work through this. Loved them both
