Cinderella Blue (San Antone Two-Step Book 2) Kindle Edition
Police Detective Andrea Luft—Andie to her friends—is undercover to catch the thief stealing designer wedding gowns from San Antonio bridal boutiques. She's about to make an arrest when Detective Bruce Benton barges onto the scene. The suspect escapes, and, as a reward for this screw-up, Benton and Andie are paired together as partners to close the case.
These two commitment-phobic cops have nothing in common except their tendency to annoy each other–unless you count the desire sizzling between them. But a cop romance just isn't in the cards for them. At a cop shop, a workplace romance can cause you to make careless mistakes that can be hazardous to your health—and your career! Too bad because Benton realizes feisty, smart-mouthed Andie is the woman he's been waiting for. He just doesn't know how to convince her of that.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2016When Andie tackled Bruce to the floor wearing a wedding dress, I was hooked. Andie is a strong female cop who takes care of herself. She takes everything in stride and can verbally throw punches as well as physically. Then there is Bruce. I've always found the strong macho guys irresistible and he's no exception, however, I truly fell in love with him after seeing how much he adores is 2 year old niece. This book was packed with excitement, sexual tension, and wonderful characters. Even the secondary characters are well developed and likable (I just loved his sister, Darcy). Overall this is a wonderful read, and I recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2015I actually laughed aloud at quite a few points in this book--nothing like two hard headed people who are each trying to one up each other while trying to deny their mutual attraction! It doesn't help that they are both police officers and that one of them messed up the others collar. They both have vindictive bosses and are forced to work together---both trying to ignore that attraction--or at least one of them is! Of course they are trying to solve two crimes and run into some pretty mean and crazy characters. I will definitely be reading more of this author's novels!!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2018Many thanks to the author / Season Publishing / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Romantic Comedy with little crime fiction thrown in. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
When Detective Bruce Benton sees a woman wearing a wedding dress and pointing a gun, he immediately barges into the scene with his own gun out front and center. The woman, Detective Andie Luft, manages to put Benton on the floor ... but loses her suspect in the chaos.
The man she was chasing is a thief .. one who stolen designer wedding dresses from wedding boutiques all over town. As a result of losing the suspect, Benton and Luft are assigned to work as partners to close the case.
That's about when the sparks starting shooting. They're a good match .. he's a ladies man and resents having to work with this woman, no matter how beautiful she is. And she doesn't date cops .. full stop. They do have one thing in common ... they annoy each other. But underneath the annoyance, desire sizzles for both of them.
I haven't read anything this funny since SHE'S GOT THE LOOK by LESLIE KELLY. Under all the taunts, the irritations with each other, lies the humor. Their wicked looks when they each score off the other ... made me laugh out loud. This couple ae so much fun to watch as they work together to catch a thief, and then fight to keep their attraction from blooming. This is foreplay at its finest.
This is my first read by this author, but I really enjoyed the change of genre, so I definitely will be back to read more. CINDERELLA BLUE is the second in this series, but is easily read as a stand alone.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2019This was a fast, fun story with good main characters. I should also say that they each have strong personalities and ethics. Andie also has a strong family that is backing her as well as often being protectively in her business. Well, that would mainly be her four brothers who try to circle around her and protect her when they can. Which isn't often Andie would say with a sigh because they all had busy lives.
Bruce has quite the reputation when it comes to women but Andie has knocked him sideways. So his one line of defense is to be mouthy in a some offensive words at least in the beginning. Anything to keep her irritated and keep his mind off of his desire to be more than just her partner as a police officer. Having been raised with four brothers, she wasn't easily offended but often amused by his tactics.
I really did enjoy the first meeting between Andie and Bruce. It really was something out of the ordinary. It made me smile but there was also other smile-worthy times.
There are bad guys who NEEDED to be caught in separate cases. And they will be but not before things get interesting.
You might ask if there is any sex in the book and the answer would be yes. It doesn't overtake the book though which is something that I appreciated a lot.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2015This is a story about Andie Luft, a funny, tough and kick butt heroine, who is also a cop. I loved her. She lives with her dad, grandfather and occasionally her four brothers. All of the men in her life were/are either cops or security specialist. She tends to date boring, simple men and has a rule : No Dating Cops!
One day on the job, Andie is closing in on her perp with her gun drawn. Dressed in a wedding gown and just when she almost has him, she is stopped by Bruce Benton, a cop, who thinks she is robbing the place. This scene was great! Of course the perp gets away and suddenly Andie finds herself reassigned to a different partner....Bruce! These two give it as good as they take it. I loved how they conversed with each other. Bruce is to help Andie catch her perp since he fouled up the ensuing arrest.
I really enjoyed how these two started to develop feelings for each other and neither of them wanted to admit it. But when these two finally fell, they fell hard!
I liked how the brothers helped out but I wished there would have been more of them.
Overall it was a fun, enjoyable read.
I have never read this author before and received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cinderella wins!
4.5 stars
I have been waiting soooo long for this book and I am glad I finally have it. This is the story of Bruce and Andie, if you have read Nobody's Cinderella you will have met Bruce he is the brother of Darcy, I love that we got to see more of Darcy and Chase. I thought Bruce and Andie were perfect for each other, I really enjoyed seeing their banter and seeing Andie take Bruce down a peg or two. Both of these character had very large personalities and it made for a funny book, I loved the supporting characters and I would love to see some of their stories too. This book is a great romantic comedy and it's well written I would recommend it to anyone interested in a light hearted funny story and although this is a stand alone book I would suggest reading Nobody's Cinderella first so you can get the backstory on the characters of this book.
