    Henri and Bailey’s story finishes in their second book, and while Ella’s other stories are super sweet and steamy love stories, I think this one pulled at my heart the most. I LOVE a redemption story and loved how Henri stepped out of the shadows and into a relationship with Bailey. But secrets don’t stay in the shadows long and the past can’t stay buried forever, and I was waiting for the ax to fall the entire time I was reading. Once it did, I was racing to the finish.

    The second half of Bailey and Henri’s story tackles several hurdles. Bailey’s family finds out about Henri, including Sean. Sean is a detective and Henri works with him as a CI. Sean is opinionated to a fault, and isn’t shy about voicing his concerns. Henri also finally shares his past and his secrets with Bailey, which leaves each man reeling and unsure of where they stand. Their story was full of sweet, steamy, and honest moments. I loved how each man was straightforward with one another, committing to having no lies between them.

    I think the thing I love most about Ella’s books are the moments between the characters where she dives deep into their vulnerabilities. The moment where Bailey breaks down and Henri holds him together. The honesty behind Henri’s confession where he reveals who he really is and the brutality of the way he grew up. I also loved the glimpses of other characters from multiple series in her Chicago universe. I adore interwoven stories and seeing characters you’ve read from another character’s point of view. I just can’t recommend this author enough. Her stories have spoiled this reader who adores intense character development.

    I love the books by this author and her co partner as well. But, I can't help but say that she tends to over sexualize every one of her books, to the detriment of the story line and her characters. There is a really great story line and character development under all the pages and pages of sex. While the sexy times do add to the story and can be pivotal moments, I do wish sometimes that there could be a few less chapters about them and more attention being spent on the details of what else is happening.

    The characters end up being somewhat shallow and single minded, when it's obvious that they could be so much more. The details about their lives that are sparse throughout the stories are there, and if you are actually reading the story for the characters and not just for the sex, then you're asking a lot of questions at the end of the book. She does this with all of her books, and obviously she's been successful, but imagine how much better they would be if the sex was dialed back even just a little bit and the characters and the story was able to be developed a little more? That would be phenomenal!

    The stories in all of her books tend to be somewhat predictable, most are like any movie or book from the 80's. So many details left unanswered or forgotten, it makes you wonder in why she even put those in there? Oh, lots of feeling are expressed, but even those are shallow and almost always are about sex or end up leading to more sex. There's not much action toward anything but ending back in bed, and if there is a action sequence about anything else, it gets glossed over so fast so the characters can get naked again. Which adds to more non plausbility to the story line. A person can not get shot with a 9mm gun at point blank range and just sit up and be fine with no problem. Even with Kevlar, that would cause a few minor issues. And why would a guy keep putting a Glock down the back of his pants when there are literally a dozen different types of holsters out there that you can buy off of any website? Glocks do not have safetys, the safety is located in the pressure tension of the trigger. Any internet search will tell you that if you aren't familiar with guns.

    Don't even get me started on the whole 3some thing with her characters. I adored the dynamic with Priest and Julien, but despised the Robbie character. He was just a shallow sex starved twinkk that cheapens the Preist\Julian couple. 3somes sound like a great fantasy on paper, but very very few authors can put enough plausibility to those tricky relationships to even make it sound realistic.

    Even with my reservations about her books, yes, I keep reading them. Simply because while there are literally hundreds of people that write books, very few of them actually write anything resembling interesting enough to finish one and look for another. She does well and I'll always look for her books, and recommend them. One can only hope she improves to reach a 5star rating.

    I loved the final chapter in the Confessions series! I loved the story of Henri Boudreaux and Craig Bailey. I loves the chemistry they had together and the openness they shared together. I really liked how once Henri realized his feelings, he was all in with Bailey. He opened up as much as he felt he could to Bailey, showing him he wasn’t going to run away anymore. I really felt the vulnerableness of Bailey when he opened his heart and feelings to Henri. I loved how Henri took care of Bailey when he needed him most. I appreciated Bailey’s thoughtful approach to what Henri revealed to him and how he didn’t make any rash decisions. In all, I loved seeing these two men lose the weights around them shoulders and come out into the light together.

    If you’re an audio fan, I also listened to this series. Charlie David did such an amazing job bringing these men, as well as the other men in the series, to life for me. I loved his voices for both Henri and Bailey, but I have to say especially Henri. He really exceeded my expectations on what I had in my head for Henri.

    I am so glad you continued this series with Henri and Bailey. At first I was confused, Henri didn't seem that big of a character. But once I started reading it, I realized how important he was for Priest, Julian and Robbie. Plus he made their lives completely free of complication. The fact that he ended up with a cop? That was kind of hysterical. It was great! It was such a deep relationship between Priest and Henri - I'm glad that you gave them both their own HEA.
    I read a review a few minutes ago that only gave you a few Stars, they completely disparaged Logan and Tate's relationship. They obviously did not see those boys for who they are. I have read that series a few times, and loved it every single time. I don't know what they were seeing. I'm sorry they didn't like it. But I think Temptations and Confessions are two of the best series I have read ever. Thank you for sharing with us! I hope there's more for all of these boys in the future. I would love to see more of the girls in future books. Rachel especially! LOL... (just little visits...or more)

    I was counting down the days until this book was going to be released. Binged through the previous books in a matter of days and the wait was excruciating.

    But the wait was worth it! That I ever thought I wouldn’t fall in love head over heels with Henri and now Bailey was a miscalculation from my part. Because from reading all of the previous books of this series and connected to it, I’m dearly in love with every single character. I’m not exaggerating when I say that whoever it is from whether it be the Temptation Series or the Confession Series, sometime throughout the day I’ll be reminded of my dear book personas and miss them all over.

    Without further blabbering, I was positively surprised how many twists and turns I didn’t see coming or didn’t even think of! I was so so much fun, tearing up, screaming and cooing over different passages. Certain parts in the book made me love the previous characters in the Confessions Series even more and I want to reread it all over now (even though I’ve done so just recently haha).

    Just confirms me every time that so far Ella Frank has become my absolute favorite author of whom I can read books over and over again and won’t ever get sick of them. No one else has managed to make me want to reread so many times and I’m happy to have gotten a dear friend of mine to share my love for her books!

    It was as always a fun journey to follow along, minor moaning about how few pages there are and how quickly I’d get through them which didn’t take out the fun though! ;)

    Surely had a suspicion that there would be some sort of surprise announcement toward the end of the book because I didn’t want to say goodbye yet?! Can’t wait to see what’s it going to be about!

    These two are something special.

    Bailey is sweet and honest and shy and just completely good. He's lived his life by the law and his family values. Always seeing the best in people he see's the grey areas and tries to understand them. He's always played it safe but as soon a Henri burst into his life everything he's always done flies out the window. He loves the feelings Henri bring out of him. He embraces them. They're something new and he finally feels he can be himself. I just loved his journey throughout this story and the way he just opens his heart made me swoon all over the place. He's just so cute! I also love how he grows with confidence and how Henri brings out the best in him.

    Henri, Henri, Henri... GAH I love him!! I knew from previous books i would be wow i didn't realize how much. He put's out this hard man persona to the world. After the rubbish upbringing he had there wasn't much of a choice. But these two books really show his vulnerable side. Never believing he would ever find anyone to love him he built walls that no one before Bailey was able to penetrate. Not even Priest. The way he was broke down and built back up just blew me away.

    Together these two fought every step of the way. Whether it was against it or for it they fought like crazy and thankfully they won! Big time winners. Once in a lifetime love and they were absolutely perfect.

    Now that's got the feels out the way... the sexy times... i'm not gonna lie... HOT HOT HOT! These two certainly burned up those sheets! Can we all say Stair loving! woooooooo hoooooo it got hawt in here!

    It was great seeing Priest, Julien and Robbie mixed in the story and it gave me a big smile when Henri was forced to talk to Julien. What a great way to wrap them all up in a great big bow.

    Loved the storyline. Loved the words. Loved the characters way more than is normal for a mostly adult female to love fictional characters. Loved the whole bloody series!
