About the Author
Tina Grehm is currently working on her BA in Creative Writing and has won the Roy F. Powell award for short fiction. She spends most of her time with her cats, watching, reading or playing anything with a solid story. She considers herself an exorcist of sorts, purging the voices in her head by putting pen to paper.
Even as a young child, Phillip Drake was always conjuring up stories, filling them with colourful characters and sharing them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Since then, he has progressed to longer, more complex works and sharing them with a wider audience. He is the author of several books including To Be a Saint, chronicling his avid fanship of Southampton Football Club, and Dark Window, a collection of horror short stories.

About the authors
“The best secrets are the most twisted.” Sarah Shepard’s quote from ‘Twisted’, best describes author Dänna Wilberg’s quest to unravel life’s mysteries with every keystroke, on every page. Her series, The Red Chair, The Grey Door, and The Black Dress featuring psychotherapist Grace Simms, pose the question: “What do we really know about a person?”
Dänna’s paranormal Borrowed Time series about a woman who acquires a psychic gift after a near-death experience, is filled with gems from Dänna’s experience producing and hosting TV show “Paranormal Connection” for over fifteen years. Her background as an award-winning script-writer and film-maker further add to the magic of her storytelling.
Wilberg resides in Northern California with her family. She loves her children, grandchildren, traveling the world, and karaoke. She loves to dance, cook, make short films, dabble in her garden, and great music. Her mantra is reach for the stars.

Wondra Vanian wrote her first short story at the age of seven and has never looked back.
An author first, Wondra Vanian is also an avid gamer, a photographer, a cinephile, and mother to an army of furbabies. She sleeps with the lights on, has music in her blood, and has been known to dance naked in the moonlight.
They say to be a successful author you should pick one genre and stick to it. Lewis Williams hasn't exactly followed that advice: having written his first book on the singer Scott Walker, he followed that with a serious academic work on social policy, which he then followed with a trilogy of limerick books that were absolutely, categorically nothing remotely like his earlier books. He is now the editor of all four volumes of The Corona Book of Horror Stories series, with the first, third and fourth books also including short stories by him.
Lewis has two degrees in philosophy (which number might be considered two too many) and worked for a number of years for Oxford University before his ignominious departure from its employ. You can find out more about him by visiting his website www.lewiswilliams.com
Born in Salisbury, Mark grew up in Gloucestershire where he studied Computer Studies at Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology.
Once final exams were over, and before receiving his results, he moved to Andover in Hampshire where he got his first job as a computer operator working on the then new IBM AS/400.
An avid reader, Mark is a big fan of contemporary thrillers and crime fiction as well as horror, apocalyptic sci-fi and supernatural thrillers. "I read to escape, so I like a bit of humour in what I read. In my opinion, even the most serious thriller can spare a moment for a laugh or two. With the Sam Edwards books, I've tried to write something I'd enjoy reading. They definitely don't take themselves too seriously."
He's also a music lover. He's been a DJ and has also tried to help unsigned artists get discovered.
When speaking about the release of Don't Reply he said "I always hoped I'd be lucky enough to release at least one creative work on an unsuspecting public. I just always assumed it would be to do with music. But I'm so pleased it's a book. It's been an ambition for a long time."
The idea for his debut novel, Don't Reply, came when his wife received a spam text message for entry into a prize draw. He thought about replies to the message being used to detonate bombs and the seeds of a story were sown.
Mark now lives in Leicestershire with his wife and two children. He never found out if he passed his college course.

Here, we come across the natural habitat of a rarely seen creature. A darkened room, cave-like in appearance. Random scrawls and hieroglyphs of an indecipherable nature adorn the wall. They are meaningless to all but their originator.
It isn’t long before the creature itself appears. Hunched over a keyboard, it mumbles random, incoherent ideas of fancy which often lead to giggles of joy. The creature is so caught up in its thoughts that it ignores our presence, allowing us the chance to record such rarity.
Note the light dusting of stubble upon its chin and the rectangular glasses. If we pay close attention, we can see patches of weathered skin and deep purple circles under each eye, brought on by a lack of sunlight, and exacerbated by a string of restless nights spent deliberating over the plot of its latest novel.
The combination of discoveries proves one thing beyond all reasonable doubt.
This creature is the lesser spotted Ian. And he is an author.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2018I purchased this book because my best friend has a story published in it, but honestly all of the stories are great! I have enjoyed the varied stories by the different authors. Some are a bit scarier than others but all are well written and well chosen for this anthology. Sometimes it's nice to just sit for a bit and read a complete story instead of a longer novel. This is the perfect time of year for this book and I am glad that I have had a chance to delve into the stories, and would recommend this collection to everyone. Looking forward to next year's edition.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2018This book was a wonderful compilation of short horror stories, just in time for Halloween- muahaha! (that's an evil laugh for those not in the know). One of my absolute favorite stories was written by Danna Wilberg, titled The Vow. With that said, there are so many talented and soon to be famous unknown authors from the UK, Canada, and America. I loved reading each and every story! I always find it interesting how dark and creepy some "normal" people are and that they are able to put pen to paper or rather fingers to keys to capture these ideas for us "horror fans" to read. Well done!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2019The authors who put this collection together picked an incredibly diverse and brilliant selection of stories. All were top rate and I'm already checking the authors' other works online. Best horror shorts I've read this year.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2018One of my stories is featured in this collection but I really enjoyed all the other stories. A good read for a winter's night.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2018Through a series of writing connections a link to this collection appeared, unsolicited, and it wouldn't seem to go away. I knew I shouldn't open it, but as much as I tried to look away it kept appearing, lying there like a baby basket you find on your doorstep, after midnight, after the harsh noise of knuckles rapping on your front door summon. You know you will peek into the basket even though you know it's a coin toss what will happen if you do. And something will happen. Does happen.
I'm only part way in—and yes, by accident (?!) I didn't crack it open until late at night—but so far the range of stories, situations, and characters I've walked in on have my mind and imagination swooning in a deep, dark pool of surprise and delight. I highly recommend this collection. As long as you're of sound mind and have a defibrillator handy.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2018I bought this book on a suggestion from a friend, and I was pleasantly surprised. All of the stories are well written, great for those chilly fall afternoons when you just want to curl up with a few nice creepy stories. It's also great that the publisher is giving some exposure to new, talented, but unknown authors. Who knows, the next Stephen King or Dean Koontz may be lurking in the pages of this easy to read volume. If you're into horror, the macabre, or just some fun spooky reading, this book is just what you need. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of scares - Don't miss out!
A great collection of horror stories provided by a clever combination of different writers, with styles to suit all tastes of the macabre. I'm looking forward to seeking out other works by these authors as this provides a chilling taste of what they have to offer.
There is something there for every horror fan, and it's a great choice for a Halloween read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful
Terrible, unless your an infant. The only shock factor with this was the price, why wasn't this sold for 50p, it ain't worth the paper the story's are written on.
