About the authors
Richard A Shury studied literature at Otago University, and recently returned to New Zealand after haunting London for many years. He is looking forward to travelling again. His story Chiaroscuro was read at Liars' League, while his flash piece The Dog House made the Bridport Prize shortlist in 2020. His piece, The Day I Didn’t Die, was published on the Drabble, and he has had several short stories (Ricky’s Journey, Gamer, and The Formula) published in anthologies. Call him a part-time optimist. Sue was born in Northamptonshire, UK. Where she still lives. She fell in love with books at an early age and worked for Northamptonshire Libraries for many years.
She writes for children aged 5-9, Teens and Adults. Her worldwide, best-selling Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, Magic Ponies and Magic Bunny series have been translated into many languages.
We Other is Sue's first book for teens and adults. Sue says, 'This book was inspired by my love of traditional fairy tales and UK folklore. It's an urban thriller with an unusual edge and will keep you guessing. You wouldn't want to meet the fairies in this book on a dark night!
Sue is fascinated by the extraordinary within the every day. The darkness that hovers at the edges of the light. There's usually some element of magic or 'the hidden' in her books.
Sue is also an artist. She loves trees, cinema, reading, vintage clothes, dark chocolate, literary festivals, meeting readers, interacting with fans around the world. She enjoys the company of creative people and talking all things books and writing. Her stationery fetish is getting out of hand, as is her library. She says her imagination was always too big. And she was that child in a room full of gauzy wings and pink tutus who was dressed as a bat
Born and raised in Hoboken, Florence Ann Marlowe has lived from one end of New Jersey to the other. She has been published in several publications such as Macabre Cadaver, Psuedopod, 69 Flavors of Paranoia, and Wiley Writers; and in several anthologies including Dedman's Tome, Man Behind The Mask, Creepy Campers Quarterly, Fear's Accomplice Halloween and the Third and Fourth Corona Books of Horror. She has just finished writing her first novel, The House of F.E.E.N.I.X., about an international paranormal research association located in Philadelphia. Florence resides in Southern New Jersey; the same neighborhood where the Jersey Devil was born. Rumor has it, he lives next door.
London native C.C. Adams is the horror/dark fiction author behind books such as But Worse Will Come, Forfeit Tissue and Downwind, Alice. A member of the Horror Writers Association, he still lives in the capital. This is where he lifts weights, cooks - and looks for the perfect quote to set off the next dark delicacy. When I was still a child and picked up my very first Goosebumps book by R. L. Stine, I knew I'd fallen head over heels in love with all things horror. It's a love affair that has only grown stronger over the years, a borderline obsession with stories that explore the darkest recesses of the human imagination. I guess you could say I'm like Thorny Rose in that way...always stalking down those special stories that have the ability to invoke a creepy-crawly feeling right down in the marrow of my bones.
As I grew older I discovered the work of some of my biggest inspirations like Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker...and the work of those authors sent me deeper down the path of the macabre. During my teenage years I had the little tradition of reading Stephen King's The Stand each summer to lose myself in the devastation of the superflu and marvel at the sadistic magnetism of Randall Flagg.
I've devoured horror fiction for as long as I can remember and reading the words weaved by the greats of the genre inspired me to begin writing. I wanted the opportunity to tell my own tales with the intent to terrify, to disturb; to capture the morbid curiosity of the reader just as my own was caught so early on in life.
If I've managed to inspire some of those feelings in you, my readers, then I feel that I've accomplished something just a little bit magical. There's still some magic left in this world, and I think it's most powerful when manifested in the form of words scrawled across many blank pages. Granted any magic contained within my work will be of the dark variety...but I wouldn't want it any other way. ;)
I live in Martinsburg, West Virginia with my little old pug Cerberus. When I'm not writing, I enjoy hiking mountain trails, weight training, getting tattooed and being a garden variety introvert in his late 20s. Oh, and reading too (duh).

They say to be a successful author you should pick one genre and stick to it. Lewis Williams hasn't exactly followed that advice: having written his first book on the singer Scott Walker, he followed that with a serious academic work on social policy, which he then followed with a trilogy of limerick books that were absolutely, categorically nothing remotely like his earlier books. He is now the editor of all four volumes of The Corona Book of Horror Stories series, with the first, third and fourth books also including short stories by him.
Lewis has two degrees in philosophy (which number might be considered two too many) and worked for a number of years for Oxford University before his ignominious departure from its employ. You can find out more about him by visiting his website www.lewiswilliams.com
John Haas was born and raised in Montreal before moving to Calgary where he lived for twelve wonderful years. Now he lives in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, but still misses seeing those Rockies in the distance.
John has been writing for most of his life and writes in the genres of Fantasy, Horror and Science-Fiction, with the occasional Mystery thrown in. He has had several short stories published in various excellent publications, as well as several novels.
His goal is to become a full time writer (rich and famous would be nice too but not necessary).
He lives with his two wonderful sons who give him lots of motivation.

A resident of North Carolina's Outer Banks, A.P searches for that unique element that twists the everyday commonplace into the weird. When he's not writing fiction, he composes music, dabbles in animation, and muses about theology and mind-hacking, all while watching way too many online movies.
Molly Thynes has been everything from a student at an all-girl's Catholic school to a nanny, a purveyor of haunted artifacts, and a mental health counselor, but she has been a writer before she even knew how to write. Her first love is the horror genre, but has found inspiration in a few other genres too (just not romance). Currently, Molly lives in Saint Paul, MN with her husband and as many animals as their landlord will allow.

Felix is a lover of tall tales in any form. A self-proclaimed escapist, he spends his time reading, writing, indulging in movie/tv binge-athons, and playing video games. He is a proud father of a very sweet and dramatic cat.
Sue Eaton (in her prime) is a former teacher who was born in Northamptonshire, England. She now lives in leafy Cheshire with time to write and read. Her favourite reads are inclined towards horror and science fiction, particularly Doctor Who and John Wyndham. Her writing reflects this.
Published works to date include stories in The Corona Book of Horror Stories, The Second Corona Book of Horror Stories, The Corona Book of Science Fiction and her debut novel, The Woman Who Was Not His Wife.
Work also includes a piece on 'Chalk face Love Songs' BBC Radio 4.
Her most recent novella is The Ceres Illusion, soft science fiction published by Water Dragon Publishing and suitable for younger readers as well as adults.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2019I love short story collections, especially in the area of horror. This was a fabulously entertaining collection. Well written and thought provoking. Now I have to get the first and second Corona Books of Horror AND their ghost stories!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2020A superb anthology featuring a wide range of horror including psychological, blood and gore, hauntings, and unknown terrors. The authors included are diverse and provide a variety of stories. I liked that each story is not too long but perfectly encapsulated in a few short pages. I don’t often read anthologies as I find them difficult to digest because of the different levels of writing and storytelling. But here there is not a single dud, and the writing is outstanding throughout.
My picks are “Roxy” by Viktoria Faust which has an ending I didn’t see coming, “Lily’s Kids” by Florence Ann Marlowe which has creepy children (I love them!) and “Old Gods” by Sue Bentley which is just beautifully bleak. Other notable picks are "The Debt" (John Haas), "The Barber" (A.P. Sessler), "The First Circle" (Sue Eaton), "Suds and Monsters" (Christopher Stanley) and "Curious, If Anything" (C.C. Adams).
Thank you to the publisher for a review copy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable Horror.
These tales were not as horrific as I would've liked. Having said that, they weren't at all bad. I think they would probably appeal to teenagers more than old horror stalwarts such as me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stories

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant book
Well worth reading
- M. KingReviewed in the United Kingdom on February 6, 2020
2.0 out of 5 stars Largely Bilge
I found two stories that I really liked ; Murderabilia and Luna Too.
The rest were drab, uninspired, derivative predictable cliches.
Seems to be a certain amount of nepotism in selecting some of these entries.
