Crave (Remington Place Book 2) Kindle Edition
**Crave is a steamy, friends-to-lovers, fake relationship M/M romance with a virgin nursing student and a gruff, grumbly construction worker. It’s the second book in the Remington Place series and can be read as a stand-alone, but is likely best enjoyed when read in order.**

About the author

Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional M/M romance.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing teens, and wondering how she and her husband of over two decades haven't driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, hot tea, sweet wine with friends, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/they pronouns.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2021** spoiler alert ** Rai was abandoned by his family when they learned who he really was, Spencer doesn't trust enough to start a relationship. Both struggle with their pasts. Will they allow their friendship to be more?
Have to say I loved seeing these two form bonds. I loved how Rai was able to see people for who they were and was determined prove that Spencer was worth it. I didn't blame Spencer for struggling, but loved how when it came to Rai he showed a softer side. Good read!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2021Sweet and lovely story. Love the Remington place and the authors use of therapists. My only minus (and it cost a star) is the relationship development towards the end sort of copy+pasted from book one, down to piece of paper in the pocket. Even Rais motivation for doing what he did suddenly changed and mirrowed Coopers from book one. I sincerely hope book 3 has it's own relationship development, because the rest of the storytelling is on point!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2021Spencer and Rai are roommates but they wish for more and just don't know how to go about it because they don't want to risk their friendship. Good story with ups and downs and certainly steamy,
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2021Fake boyfriends are my jam. Love a good one. This one was great, but sometimes hard to read. I don’t have many triggers, and this one did not trigger me, but I felt pretty bad for the characters because of their constant negative self-talk. I appreciate that the author didn’t try to “fix” then by the end. They’re recovering at their own rate and doing it both separately and together and I like that.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2021i hope the fake trope doesn't continue throughout the series, but even if it does, i like this author's style enough to continue. i want to see everyone@ Remington Place get their hea. Spencer and Rai are hot af and clueless lol. I like the author's emphasis on positive therapy; therapy in general usually gets a bad rap, but it doesn't have to be that way.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2021The premise of this series is a great foundation to create interesting characters and great situations. This one had only one frustration… mutual fear the other was too good for him!! These guys are too sweet… When the final confrontation happens, beans were spilled just right…
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2021Rai and Spencer both know what it’s like to have to make it on their own-- Rai’s traditional family disowned him after finding out that he was gay (and, to add insult to injury, wanted to be a nurse instead of a doctor). Spencer’s mother was too lost in drug addiction to really raise her son-- so Spencer makes his own way as a builder who puts up houses stronger and better than the one he grew up in. Both Rai and Spencer have their demons to work through, and those demons keep them from seeing each other's obvious feelings for a very, very long time-- through becoming roommates and friends to a fake boyfriend ruse that’s so very clearly not fake. I like this series-- each story, including this one, stands alone, but they all center around a unique house and the chosen family that live within. One of my favorite aspects of the first book holds true for this one as well-- everyone who isn’t a protagonist clearly clinging to the flimsiest of pretexts not to communicate is telling the guys, clearly, calmly, and constantly, to just TALK TO EACH OTHER ALREADY. I love that the supporting cast is clearly on the same page as the reader: angst is fun to read, to a point, and the author does a good job of tiptoeing up to that point without going over the other side into the frustrating or ridiculous. Spencer and Rai are charming, kind, and perfect for each other-- their story is worth checking out.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2021I really wanted to like this book. Fake boyfriends/fiancé is my favorite trope. But, there were so many issues with the storyline that I couldn’t finish the book. There’s a disclaimer at the beginning of the book about how the author based the character on other people’s accounts of low self-esteem. I get that. And, feeling unworthy is a human condition. However, there’s something about the way it’s portrayed in this book that I had a hard time empathizing with the MC. It felt very “woe is me”. However, I was willing to overlook that. The issue with Lance was a deal breaker. We have to stop the narrative that an over aggressive admirer is acceptable. It’s not. It’s harassment. Lance’s behavior needed to be reported to the school, the professors, the police. No means no. It means stop. It means I don’t accept your behavior. I can’t support narratives that presume otherwise.

5.0 out of 5 stars deserving
Spencer walkways seemed so lovely it’s hard to watch him be so hard in himself. Neither he or Rai deserved the crap they went through and it was so good to see them finally realise they deserved each other’s love.

4.0 out of 5 stars A riveting read
This was such a page Turner. I really enjoyed this.I think it is the first book I have read by this author, but I will be going to read others.
The characters were well written, their insecurities and concerns met with so many of my own, that I completely understood their point of view and desperately wanted them to find that special happy ending which is so wonderful. Looking forward to the next part too,

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.5 stars An Okay Book
A great start to the book even if poor Raiden was struggling having a hard time with life things. Both characters had a bad past and where silently crushing on each other. Spencer was admitt he didnt do love or relationships because he didnt know how. Maybe they'll learn together.
A fake boyfriends, freinds to lovers story. I wasnt a fan of the time jump in this it tottally skipped the part where they adjusted as being roomates. A few mixed thoughts as scenes played out with the hole fake dating thing.
Overall a okay book. I loved the first book, Adore in this series but this one didnt get there for me.
Does Remington Place have another love match?.
Raiden 25 yrs was couch surfing but he was working to find a place of his own. Studying to be a nurse and working at the Dinner had him busy but never when Spencer came in.
Spencer was the object of is eyes and his heart.
Spencer a 28 yrs construction worker had similar thoughts for Rai. But he doesn't give himself credibility in life regarding his being not good enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fake boyfriends
I wanted to like this story as much as book 1 but I just didn't take to both MC's. Rai just seemed far too needy and whiney whilst also being a confident student nurse with responsibilities; there seemed to be a contradiction. I didn't get a real feeling of the deep issues affecting Spencer, despite being reminded often of them. Lots of interaction with new house guests so I am anticipating some good stories to come.
