Detective Jack Creed Box Set: Books 1-4 (Detective Jack Creed Murder Mystery Books Book 1) Kindle Edition
Four fast paced, maximum entertainment, impossible to put down mystery thrillers
The international mystery thriller and suspense series that readers are describing as Australia's best new crime author”.
“Smart. Witty. A cut above”
This first edition includes the first THREE mystery novel bestsellers in the Detective Jack Creed series, plus the introductory novella, and is over 100 pages of murder, revenge, thrills and spills
MEET DETECTIVE JACK CREED
He considers himself a professional police detective. A stickler for getting it right. His trade is non- conforming
Creed is the man you want on your side. He always gets his man or woman. Opinionated. Street smart. Anit-establishment. Focused until the end. You wouldn't want to come up against him. You’ll lose!
SHATTERED (Novella 1)
A dead man with ten expensive-looking rings on his hands shows up in an industrial waste bin behind the popular Cabarita Beach Resort, an hour’s drive from Brisbane Australia in the second instalment of the Australian Detective Jack Creed mystery novels. What makes this criminal investigation even more intriguing is the torture on the dead man’s fingers and toes—all broken prior to his death
Australian Detective Jack Creed is immediately on the case seeking criminal justice, but sifting through the myriad of suspects including a battered wife, a recalcitrant son, an ex-lover and a missing secretary—all with secrets to hide—only makes this murder by the sea more mysterious
Was the murder by a hitman involving the mafia or revenge by seduction? “Find the ring, find the killer” becomes Jack’s mantra—everyone has too many secrets to tell, but no one’s talking
Will Jack , with all his criminal profiling skills, be able to sift through their lies and figure out this murder mystery, or will the “ring man” keep his secrets beyond the grave?
THE SECRET OF BARNESDALE MANOR (Novella 2)
Former Lloyds of London financial whizz Charles Abernathy, the new owner and renovator of Barnesdale Manor, a grand estate located in the serene countryside just outside Bangalow, NSW, Australia, is stunned when he receives a registered letter suggesting he 'looks into things of the past'
The recluse Abernathy is even more miffed about the suggestion he should hold a scavenger hunt at Barnesdale Manor in order to reveal these 'things of the past'. Although he does not know many people in the village of Bangalow, he decides to proceed as it will give him an opportunity to showcase his renovated Manor
But when the guests become frustrated with the not being able to find all the items in the scavenger hunt, Abernathy gives them the ultimate clue that leads his guests to find a skeleton in the cellar. One skeleton is bad enough but when the dead body of one of the guests is also found, the police must be called
Did Charles Abernathy know of the skeleton or is he the murderer playing a silly game. One thing is for sure, to discover things of the past; Detective Jack Creed needs to be called in to solve another Australian crime
This is the 3rd mystery novels in the Cabarita Crimes international mystery thriller and suspense series featuring Detective Jack Creed
MURDER ON THE BEACH (Novella 3)
Former head of UK’s Royal Bank of Scotland, Nick Turner, is found dead amongst the rocks at Cabarita Beach, a sleepy seaside village on the northern New South Wales coast, Australia. His head caved in by a Honma golf club
Murder on the Beach has Detective Jack Creed up to his armpits in missing millions, illicit affairs, a neglected wheelchair bound wife, a cranky gay staffer and a blonde 'bimbo' mistress - just the sought of case Jack loves
REJECTION (Bonus Novella)
Nicholas Weartherby is sick. Detective Jack Creed has got 48 hours to stop the perpetrator or witness Australia’s greatest mass University shoo

- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2015A hard boiled cop from the old school of police work he clears cases using skill, charm and intimidation. His characters and plots are both believable and fascinating. A great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2018Read the first story, started on #2. Thought it was not that well written, much better stuff out there. Very basic, fomulaic plots with no character development, story line seemed very boilerplate. Does not compare well with authors like Baldacci, Tignor, Jeffrey Wilson, other authors of action thrillers I have been reading lately. Just one person's opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2015I just happened upon the Jack Creed series and saw that it was on sale so I bought the box set. This series gave me the feeling that I got when I first started reading as a kid. Great plots and things in the stories that I certainly did not guess like I usually do. If you want something to read this summer after a day out and don't want to make it a chore you should check this series out. Great fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017The series makes for an interesting read, but I felt the cases were not well-developed. The characters seem forced as the author seemed to throw like-able descriptions at the reader instead of building them through their actions and the stories. I was disappointed in the plot as well. Not introducing a character until late in the book and then finding out they are the culprit doesn't make it a mystery. The last one was by far the most thorough in constructing a bit of mystery and then the end was abrupt and left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend these unless you are just looking for something to take up some time.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2015I chose this rating because the editing in this series of books is horrible. There are many sentences that either add extra words or are missing parts of phrases altogether. The thought processes of the author seem quite disjointed as well. Shorter than I expected yet too long to suffer through.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good light romp of a read
Writing with humour and a wry smile - Jack Creed is a slightly stereotypical grouchy cop who goes his own way and charms the solution in the end. Enjoyable novellas.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge a book by its cover
We have all heard that yet I did it in this case. Saw the covers for Rejection and Shattered and decided not to buy. Certainly not for me or so I thought. Then I read C.T. Mitchell's Women's Sleuth Mystery Set and loved each of his characters and being a fellow Aussie I loved the fact they are set right here and not a kangaroo in sight 😀
Decided to give Jack Creed a chance. So glad I did. Here is a man who knows his strengths and weakness. Here is a man, a family man, who can't have both work and family and struggles with that everyday. I am going back for more with Box set no 2.
Took a star off for the covers. 😕
