A Review of Cupid's Possess: A Valentine's Day Story by Josie Litton

Marisol and Chase - 5 Stars

Another short story about this wonderful couple, this time for Valentine's Day. Having grown up in California, she's never really seen snow (the couple of inches at Christmas didn't count), so when they hear the news that there is going to be a huge snow storm for Valentine's Day in New York, she is excited. This is short and sweet, but definitely one to pick up, even if you haven't read their story yet, which you can get the full story of, in Possess.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. A continuation of Josie Litton's Possess series. Cupid's Possess. It is simply a romantic story of Marisol and Chase and their endeavors to spend Valentine's Day together despite their hectic schedules. Chase gets creative and lovingly impresses Marisol for what he did to work around her schedule. Despite her working on Valentine's Day the eve before he took her out to dinner during a snow storm. Then they hoofed it back to the Marisol's apartment via skis. She loved it. A very good read. Recommend when you have the time.

Beautiful, super sexy and refreshing. Having a great career you love with a handsome sexy man is a dream. Chase will do anything to put a smile on Marisol's face. Not even a freak blizzard will stand in the way of her happiness and the fact that she hasn't experienced a true snow day is the icing on a very delicious cake. Romance is in the air and this is definitely swoon worthy. It's a great short read you are sure to enjoy.

Continuation of Marisol and Chase's story. It will be better to read the original story first since this is a short read. If you are used to Litton's darker reads, I wouldn't suggest this book or the series. It's more of a sweet read with some steamy scenes.

Beautiful! That is how I describe this series. It is so wonderful to be able to follow Chase and Marisol as they continue to figure out their romance. The way the story is written works well for someone who just wants a sweet Valentine's Day romance, or for someone who has been following this couple through all of their ups and downs. This one is an up, for sure! I can't wait for the next one.

This is a very short novella taking about a half hour to read. The entire story takes place over the course of one day. Although I suppose you could read it as a standalone, I think it is better to read Possess first. Since this is so short, there isn't much development of the characters that you get when reading Possess. I thought this was a sweet romance showing how Marisol and Chase celebrated Valentine's Day with each other. It was cute to see Marisol's reaction to snow.
*I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. This is my honest review.*

This is a short read, detailing what Chase and Marisol each have in mind for Valentine’s Day. Because Marisol has to work, there would be no time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, or so Marisol thought, but Chase is determined to make the day romantic and memorable. Unbeknown to Chase, Marisol too has some unexpected gifts that she hopes will please Chase.

Marisol reflects on the extraordinary turns her life has taken since she left Los Angles; she is now the star of a hit show on Broadway, lives in an apartment in the legendary Arcadia apartment building, a gift from her father, blessed with amazing friends and engaged to the love of her life, a man who has brought her more happiness and fulfilment than she ever believed possible. Marisol loves Broadway, but it made celebrating holidays difficult, and Valentine’s Day would be no exception; there is no chance for a lover’s get away, or even the traditional romantic dinner. Chase understood about the demands of Marisol’s career, but was she asking him to make too many sacrifices. Marisol didn’t want to deny Chase anything; all she has to do is convince him of that. Marisol would miss the theater if she ever left, but at the same time she is tempted by the possibility that she might be able to find a better balance in her life with Chase; one that was fairer to him. After her show, Chase whisks Marisol off to the city’s most renowned restaurant, Picardy; the owners have agreed to open it up just for them. As they step inside it begins to chime midnight; it was officially Valentine’s Day for them. Chase’s point was they could do everything non-theater people did, just they would have to do it their own way; this was his answer to the concerns she had expressed that her career put too many demands on him and their relationship. Nothing could be more romantic, or so she thought, until Chase suggests cross country skiing. Marisol’s introduction to snow was turning into a journey through a wonderland, one she knew she would never forget. All thanks to the amazing man at her side, her lover, her friend and soon to be her husband. Everything about the evening had been magical and perfect, but Marisol has her own surprises too.
