When her secret gets out, can this feisty teenager survive?

Now everyone wants a piece of her—and they’re not playing nice.

Can Tru’s rebel spirit save her when she becomes the prize in a deadly supernatural tug-of-war?

Brogan lives in Ireland with her husband and their eleven furry children: five furry minions of darkness (aka the cats), four hellhounds (the dogs), and two traditional unicorns (fat, hairy Irish cobs).

In 2019 she decided to embrace her craziness by writing about the imaginary people that live in her head. Her first love is her number-one favourite furry child Bob the cob, then reading. When not reading or writing, she can be found knee-deep in horse poo and fur while blissfully ignoring all adult responsibilities.

Characters. Rating: 💛🧡💜💙 Tru. Series: Yes Xander. Length: 300 pages I seen an ad on Facebook for this book and I was intrigued. A vampire/Unicorn hybrid. That's different. This one is actually the 3rd book in the series but I wouldn't have know that just by reading. This series can be read as stand alone but may be best to read in order as I think if the series continues they may mix together a bit. I glanced over some of the reviews and a big complaint was how immature Trus character seemed. I mean keep in mind she is 17. She should be immature. I truly enjoyed the book and I definitely can't wait for another book with Tru and Xander in it. That being said I rushed to get the other 2 books and am excited for book 4. I definitely recommend. Tru was a lot of fun to get to know. And Xander is a hoot. I don’t know for sure when their story will continue but I can’t wait to read more about the whole menagerie!

This can be read as a stand-alone book. It is about Tru, a hybrid vampire/unicorn shifter. She can be remarkably mature and capable at times, having had to deal with some stuff and having had the support /training of her Fae "grandfather". She can also be a bit of a petulant child. She is, however, responsible and determined, making plans for the future; she has a violent temper, but a deep compassion. So I love the realism as that captures a lot about being a well-rounded character and teenager - the ability to be all of these things.
In the story, many people want to use her for nefarious purposes and, although she has protectors too, she fights back herself to determine her own fate. I really enjoyed this (even more than I thought I would) and would highly recommend it to all who enjoy a fun UF story

... for a new spinoff series, & while it has an end-of-the-episode, happy-for-now ending, it's also holding onto some of the plot lines for the launching of the new series. Which I'm looking forward to reading, but agree with reviewers arguing that it shouldn't be called a standalone story.

It's a pretty good book, and I also look forward to reading her series, but I can't help thinking how much more believable Tru'd be if she had a classy, clever, FAE-influenced way of talking (given her grandfather's raising of her) instead of sounding like a street juvie.

I also wish the author would more clearly explain the difference between this world's non-angelic angels & not-necessarily-evil demons because from the little given, the two don't seem to be significantly different, outside of the glimpse of the life choices they make & the consequences from those. I don't get why she didn't just use different creatures that better fit her story's mythical build.

As stated in my previous reviews for books 1 & 2, if you can handle some brutality & language (the brutality is less in this one, though unfortunately, the f-bombs spiked back up to 7 dozen!), there's a decently engaging story in here

*CONTENT: as a movie, this would be rated R.
-Possible triggers include some brutality & threatened rape,
-Shifting back to human form is normally naked, secular attitudes toward intimacy with some explicit talk but no peeping tom porn scenes,
-Language is worse than normal for most of us, & as noted, the f-bombs have gone back up to 7 dozen here &
-Use of the Lord's Name trivially/disrespectfully (ie in vain) though none as curses, fwiw

I felt this book, #3 in the series was by far better than the first two. The MC wasn't a weak constantly having inner whining turmoil dialogue female. In fact I almost quit reading the series because of book two (Barbie Demon) thinking to myself I was done with the constant sniveling. I know from reading other reviews my opinion is different than others.

This book got to the plot without the constant non stop inner dialogue of the first and especially second books. Tru had it rough, just as the other main characters, but she stepped up and did what needed to be done without a lot of self doubt or constant inner dialogue which I appreciate. Yes, it ended too abruptly and without the happily ever after - two people in love walking hand in hand into the sunset ending per say but we do know how it ended.

This book in this series has renewed my interest in continuing the series..perhaps the author will again dip into Tru's life with her chicken wings.

I'm a fantasy fanatic. Be it a game, good read , Animation or Movie. And for me Brogan Thomas totally nailed this world. This one has a very interesting Plot, Backstory of Races and as pages turn you keep wanting for something else to happen. Hoping to know something more. Creative Mixture of Real Life struggle, thrill, Magic, races & Twists around every other page. Loved it.
