Loathed by those who should love her, can one fierce woman discover the secrets of her unique blood in time to be her own rescuer?

Forrest Hesketh desperately clings to humanity. Trapped in an infuriatingly inept wolf form since she was nine years old, the traumatised girl’s hope of regaining her ability to shift is slowly fading. But as her abusive pack plots to kill her, a desperate act to protect her kind stepbrother finally triggers the broken young woman’s transformation.

Stunned that suddenly everyone wants her after years of horrific treatment, Forrest struggles to relearn basic skills while dodging kidnappers and assassins. And with a powerful shifter councilman determined to claim her as a mate, even the protection of a gorgeous dragon can’t guarantee her safety.

Pursued by monsters in both suits and fur, will Forrest’s undaunted courage be enough to keep her alive?

Cursed Wolf is the fast-paced first standalone novel in the Creatures of the Otherworld urban fantasy series. If you like strong female characters, slow-burn romances, and stories of supernatural suspense, then you’ll adore Brogan Thomas’s captivating tale.

Buy Cursed Wolf today and watch the predators become prey.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️
Just WOW!! ... This story is amazing. There is so much that happens - so much that you don't want to miss. I couldn't put it down, but I didn't want it to end. Forrest's journey is non-stop. She faces it all, lies, murder, death, imprisonment and so much abuse. Can she ever get a break, or find happiness and be free. Make sure you set time aside to read how she finds courage and strength to keep going and face her demons. - Suezett, Book Sirens

About the Author

Brogan lives in Ireland with her husband and their eleven furry children: five furry minions of darkness (aka the cats), four hellhounds (the dogs), and two traditional unicorns (fat, hairy Irish cobs).

In 2019 she decided to embrace her craziness by writing about the imaginary people that live in her head. Her first love is her number-one favourite furry child Bob the cob, then reading. When not reading or writing, she can be found knee-deep in horse poo and fur while blissfully ignoring all adult responsibilities.

Characters. Rating 💜💜💜💜 Forest. Seties: yes Aragon. Length: 286 Pages So, first off, this is book 1 and I read it last, so they can be read as stand alone. Forest was a loveable character. Waa she a bit immature. Yes. But what do you expect from someone who lived as a wolf since they were 9 years old. If there were errors I didn't notice. Is it my favorite? No. Forest was definitely quirky and full of spunk. She is bound and determined to stand on her own. Aragon is probably one of my favorite characters in this series. He is chivalrous and patient with Forest. This was a great start to a series. I can't wait to read more. 'LSK Recommended'

Well written story with plot twists and a villain's rant, plus a bit of romance. This is the second Brogan Thomas book I have read and will be seeking out more.

This author has a talent for world building. The characters are interesting and distinct.
The female lead is tough and yet still naive and quirky. A little more sexual tension wouldn't be remiss, but I find it refreshing that sex is not the main concept like in other paranormal romance or shifter novels.
Job well done! Excellent reading especially for a first book.

The author crafted a story which was the perfect mix of drama, suspense, betrayal, deceit, mystery and romance. I loved everything about this book. I absolutely loved her character. Great cast throughout. I would have loved to see a completion to her family saga though which might shed some light on her brother’s actions. A throughly entertaining story.

I've been looking for a new author and boy, did I find a great one! This book
was such a fun read, well paced, and enjoyable. The rough start main character had was almost too much, but the plot twists wrapped up nicely. Very satisfying read! Thank you very much!

I don’t think after the numerous boos this author has done a bang up job on; that another review would really matter BUT; I have found this author to be a new fan favorite of mine and I love the unique world building. There’s just enough new here, unique there and so many variations to an old style that I believe I’ll read her dry before another book is released!

I started with book 4, which was definitely better written.

Book 1 is actually a decently engaging story, especially considering it's apparently the author's first, but it's a bit brutal, there's not a whole lot of depth & the author's language is unnecessarily & pretty constantly crass. Whether or not you want to read it will likely depend more on your tolerance level for the content than the story itself (*see below)

Thankfully, the author must have listened to reviewers complaints about the language because book 1 has nearly 200 f-bombs & book 4 was down to 2 dozen.
(Dear author, of course it's your choice, but please consider - while I obviously was not one of them here, there are still many readers who will avoid your books because they find the use of such a word repugnant. Meanwhile, NONE of your potential readers will avoid your books because you didn't use it. The same with disrespectful uses of God's Name)

*CONTENT: as a movie, this would be rated R even without the f-bombs
-It contains possible triggers in the aftermath of a brutal rape, threats of & attempted rape, suicides, a serial murderer,
-Shifting back to human form is normally naked, secular attitudes toward intimacy with some explicit talk but no peeping tom porn scenes,
-Vocabulary frequently on par with the stereotypical teenage guy locker room &
-Use of the Lord's Name trivially/disrespectfully (ie in vain) though none as curses, fwiw

First good point..Longer than most, or, kept as one well balanced book instead of being stretched out over several volumes. In other words, it is both a fast paced page turner and a book where there is enough context for you to engage with the characters. There is a very likeable main protagonist+friends, a not too clicheed evil supporting cast, and a believable setting where the supernatural community is out in a non conflictual integrated society. However, the thing that stands out the most is the excellent character development of the main protagonist, with just the right amount of poor sefesteem and depression early on to make the reader emphasize with/root for the heroine in her trials - at least compared to the self-absorbed angsty wrist slashing commonly used as a emotional hook by authors. The story is probably aimed at a youngish audience, given the underlying becoming an aware adult theme, but l think that more mature readers will also appreciate this not overly sugar coated escapist fantasy.

For a first book - well done!
Low on spice, big on story. Forrest is a cursed wolf shifter that saves herself from her fate in a satisfying way. I really enjoyed the world, characters and storyline. It's a stand alone but I am hoping this character still pops up in future books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Loved Loved this book - Well Done Brogan Thomas
Reviewed in Australia on September 30, 2021
For a first book, this one is extraordinary and everything that I have missed recently in Shifter books. Brogan Thomas - you have become my 2021 Best Fantasy Author.

I am not a prude but many of Shifter books lately are driven by sex scene with no character development even when the plot is promising. I live in Melbourne where we have been in lockdown longer than anywhere else in the word. I needed an escape and chose this book because it was Prime Reading which meant I could read for free or leave without guilt if I did not like it (and there have been many of those) and as a stand alone there was no cliff hanger. I could not bear waiting for anything else as we linger in lockdown. I am so glad I took a chance on this book.

I read the book in a day and then bought it because it is a keeper and will without doubt be read again (many times). I have downloaded the next in the series and pre-ordered the one after that.

This book is well written, the main characters are engaging, multidimensional and lovingly drawn with great heart. World building was good, the story and plot driven by a fierce and loveable heroine who clings to her humanity in the face of adversity with courage, heart and humour to overcome and grow. Added to this is a delicious slow burn romance. There was nothing I did not love about this book other than wishing it would not finish and hoping that Brogan writes really fast!

I am an avid reader and read between 2 and 4 books a week. This year, Forrest is my favourite character and Aragon, as gorgeous as he is, takes the backseat to Nutty!
