This is the second book of this series, and the characters are starting to grow and develop into more interesting and colorful people. Kate is becoming more in tune with murder and finds herself more willing to jump right in to solve the crime. A very good addition to the series.

I really enjoyed the first book but this one unfortunately left me cold. Yes it was well written but the plot seemed a bit haphazard and rushed.
A charity event has them coming onto another murder scene. The murder of a wealthy businessman. Who killed him. Add in an affair, a fraudulent cheque, a debt and a set up.
Can she work out who and why before there are any more casualties?

Love the main characters Kate and Lachlan. The story was good. I m not too sure who Rachel had the affair with and why Ian owed money. Thank you. I just recently found your books. Thoroughly enjoying them. Stay well.

“Killer in the Kitchen” is certainly different than the last book I read by the author, and I must admit I was slightly skeptical whether it would be up to par – but having just finished the read, I can certainly say that there was no need for my prior skepticism and, yet again, author C.T. Mitchell hasn’t failed to impress me. The story is of course suspenseful in this murder mystery but it’s also got a bit of an easy-going undertone that certainly gives the book a refreshingly different vibe than what I am usually accustomed to. I look forward to seeing more!
