Officially one of my favorite books now. I loved every minute of it. It was a story full of so much heart and emotion and so many laugh out loud moments. Bridget is a widow, a single mother, and a nurse. She decides to rent out a room in her house to a friend of her best friend. She didn't expect that friend to be sexy British doctor Simon. They had already met when he helped her with a medical issue and they hadn't forgotten about each other. Bridget has no room in her life for romance. She is still emotional over the death of her husband and she is focused on her son. Simon doesn't do relationships. He just wants to have fun. But the two aren't ready for the feelings they have for each other. Just when they decide maybe they can give in to the temptation, a huge secret is exposed and their worlds are in whirlwind. I didn't see it coming at all. I was literally listening in my car and had to stop and yelled "OH MY GOD!" So believe me when I tell you that this book has it all: romance, drama, emotion, humor, steam, shocking moments, heart felt scenes... You will fall in love with it right away. I guarantee it. As if the story isn't good enough on it's own, these narrators turned it up a notch. This definitely should be experience in the ears. I loved it so much I bought the paperback right away.

    Doctor Simon Hogue is the hot new ER doctor finishing his residency, where Bridget Valentine works as a nurse. He is also her new tenant and he’s the same doctor that had to cut out a fishing 🎣 hook from her buttock a few months prior. Bridget is absolutely mortified the way the two of them keep meeting.

    She’s a widow and hasn’t been with anyone else since she and her husband started dating back in college and even though she lost him unexpectedly two years ago, she hasn’t been able to move on and start dating anyone. She’s been completely focused on raising their now 8 year old son, but Simon has her all flustered and feeling “things “ that she hasn’t in a long time.

    I definitely loved this story and how Simon and Bridget get their HEA. There’s a crazy twist in the story, but it works really well, definitely fate!

    There are a few author duo’s who can write a seamless story over and over again like Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland, and they have done it again with Dear Bridget, I Want You. I will say, this one wasn’t jumping at me with the blurb, but I knew I had to get it, because this duo has never let me down, and I’m so glad I jumped into this book when I did! This book grabbed me from beginning to end, and I fell in love with Bridget and Simon’s story and the wild ride that we were taken on.

    On paper Bridget and Simon would never work. Bridget is a single mom, a super hero in her own right. She’s a nurse, and has suffered a loss no one should ever have to endure, but instead of letting it break her, it’s only made her stronger. Simon on the other hand comes off as care free, and the sexy doctor who never wants to settle down, but when these two meet, the attraction between them is undeniable. What is a chance meeting becomes more when Simon ends up becoming the new roommate for Bridget and her son Brendon, and things definitely become interesting.

    I adored how these two tried to fight their attraction, and the things that would come out of both of their mouths. Simon’s personality had me laughing out loud multiple times throughout this book, and the way he got Bridget to open up had me swooning! These two really opened up around one another and I truly understood their fear of getting too close, but what neither of them truly understood before it was too late, was they were already too attached. When we got more of Simon’s back story, my heart broke for him, but I loved how he started to accept it and started to let Bridget in, and how much he started to care for her and Brendon. I was just scared that he would end up hurting himself and her in the process.

    This is definitely one wild and sexy ride, that had me laughing out loud and falling in love with both of these characters. The things that these two go through to be together were crazy, and at times I wanted to shake both of them, but I’m so thankful for the road they traveled as it showed how much they truly meant to one another. I adored the writing, the laughter, the angst, and how there truly wasn’t a ton of drama in this book. The characters were beautifully written and the story had me hooked from beginning to end. If you’e looking for an amazing romance, I highly suggest one-clicking Dear Bridget, I Want You by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland today!

    The dream team is back, you guys, with another hit novel that’ll own you from the first to the last word. This story had me hooked. Completely. I’m honestly so impressed with Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. These authors are two of the most incredible writers around. If you’re looking for a quality read, a well-written novel with heart and heat, these two are guaranteed to deliver. Whether they’re writing books separately or together, it doesn’t matter, they’re masters of their craft, always telling a story that’ll win you over. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. To say I’m a fan would be putting it lightly. I’m completely consumed by their books, which feel like pure bookish magic to me.

    Bridget Valentine is a widower, a single mom, and a nurse. Her top priority in life is her son, and it shows in everything that she does. Bridget is a dedicated mom and one of those characters you will immediately fall in love with. Sweet and funny, authentic and totally relatable, there wasn’t a single thing about this girl that I didn’t love.

    Simon Hogue is in his last year of medical residency. Originally from the UK, he’s living in the US with plans to return home after finishing school. Simon is a charmer. From the second you meet him, you’re completely smitten with his smooth talking, dirty mouth. But even though Simon is one heck of a playboy, behind that exterior is a soft hearted man that’s downright dreamy.

    Simon and Bridget’s meet cute is absolutely hilarious. HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud. And that funny continued throughout the book. The smile on my face, the tingling in my belly, the excitement that hit me whenever these two were in the same place was the absolute BEST. They had chemistry you could feel and it was intoxicating.

    Dear Bridget, I Want You was delicious. A slow building romance that’ll have you holding your breath, swooning and wanting. Fate intervenes in Simon and Bridget’s life, forcing them together after their initial meeting, in the most fantastic way. Not only do they end up working at the very same hospital, but Simon becomes Bridget’s roommate! From there a friendship is formed as fun, flirty, witty banter ensues that’ll have you blushing and dying over just how cute these two are. Simon and Bridget are truly the best.

    From the beginning to the end, I loved this book. I felt like everything flowed perfectly. And as usual, Vi and Penelope slayed it with twist that I did NOT see coming! (I seriously did not see that coming. At all. Ever. Not at anytime, hahahaha)! It was unreal. Overall, I can’t say enough good things. I’m still trying to recover from the swoon that overcame me as I read this standalone romance. It was cute, funny, sexy, heartfelt, everything that makes for a perfect book. I absolutely recommend it and I can’t wait for you to meet this adorable couple.

And 'Dear Bridget, I Want You' is another 5 star read from this amazing duo! This book made me laugh, cry, scream and had me falling head over heels for Dr. Simon!

    Bridget, a widow and mother of an eight-year-old son, rents a garage apartment to Simon, and the two become friendly. Simon convinced himself that he will never be in a relationship, much less have a child, and Bridget is scared to death.

    This is a beautifully written, fun and romantic story about second chances. I adored Simon and Bridget's unexpected love match. It was not only sweet and sexy, it had a surprise twist that I did not see coming that brought everything full circle. This is just a wonderfully written book and it really is a love story that made me laugh, swoon, and fall in love with the characters. 'Dear Bridget, I Want You' is fantastic in every way and just made me smile.

    Ah, what another bloody brilliant book by these two talented authors. I LOVED Simon. Dirty mouthed, dirty in the bedroom, he was fantastic to read. I loved Bridget too. Her circumstance is something a lot of women can relate to and her feelings and thoughts were written exceptionally well. There are some books where I drop off to snoozeville but every line had me desperate for the next.
    Absolutely couldn't put it down.
    The twist at the end had me gasping aloud but it was the chemistry between the two leads that had me rooting for them every inch of the way.
    Incredible story.
    Thanks ladies and can't wait for your next collaboration.
