The Delphi Technique: A K9 Thriller Where Terror Strikes and the Chase Turns Lethal (Rex Dalton K9 Thrillers Book 10) Kindle Edition
A deadly terror plot, a relentless pursuit and a K9 team caught in the crossfire
Rex Dalton, his wife Catia and their military-trained dog Digger are enjoying the sun-soaked streets of Rhodes, Greece—until chaos erupts before their eyes. A professional assassin guns down two people in broad daylight.
Instinct takes over. Rex and Digger give chase through the city, but when they corner the killer, she makes a shocking choice—taking her own life rather than being captured. What seems like a closed case quickly spirals into something far more dangerous.
That night, as Rex reports the incident to his contact, John Brandt, three masked gunmen storm their hotel room. In a hail of bullets, Rex, Catia and Digger barely escape with their lives. Now, they are pulled into a high-stakes CIA operation to track down a terrorist mastermind—someone whose vision of destruction could plunge Europe into chaos. But stopping the threat means following a deadly trail of deception, where no one can be trusted—failure is not an option.
The Delphi Technique is a gripping, high-intensity K9 thriller from best-selling author JC Ryan, and the pulse-pounding tenth book in the Rex Dalton K9 Thrillers series.

Sheila LS - Top Contributor. Can't Read This Series Fast Enough!! I had no idea these books were so good when I first started or I would not have already downloaded other Kindle Unlimited books... I haven't read any series as exciting as Ty Patterson's Warrior series until now.
You really need to start reading this series from the beginning because what happened to Rex in this first book is what made him the way he is. He is a very determined person and does not stop at anything to take down the bad guys--especially if they are terrorist or if it is a group that is funding terrorist. Even though this is his main mindset, he still wants to protect the innocent that inadvertently get in the way...
Texas - This author belongs on the same shelf as Ludlum and Follette and those other guys! My first read by this author and I couldn't put the book down! Mesmerized by the writing style, the vivid descriptions and the storylines, I read without stopping. Fast paced, action packed and interesting on several facets.
Margaret Bentley - I love reading about Rex Dalton's exploits, but my favorite character has to be Digger, his military-trained super-intelligent dog.
Greg D - Rex Dalton was the deadliest agent the government had at their disposal- a one-man unstoppable force in the war on terrorism in the Middle East. With his famous ability to pick up new languages with ease, he figures he can blend into almost any culture and root out evil. What could go wrong? Well, it turns out, plenty.
E. I. HOOD - I was not a fan of the first Rex Dalton book but plunged ahead with the second hoping JC Ryan would not disappoint. I loved it. Now here I am after reading the third book in this series. I had a hard time putting it down and found myself wondering about it when I was not reading.
40 year pioneer - Each book in this series gets even better. This has a fascinating, even though hard to fathom, plot, worked out in intricate detail. Rex Dalton is a mirror of all of us - overcoming seemingly overwhelming odds to achieve great things.
Kindle Customer - From a master storyteller comes another thrilling ride by Rex Dalton. From the sands of Afghanistan to the culture of India the story moves at a breathless pace. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
Kindle Customer - Rex Dalton rocks! Another great read from JC Ryan. I've read all of his books and am never disappointed! All I can say is....MORE!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2024I have read many of Ryan’s Rex Dalton books, and all of them contain what seem to be very well researched geography, plausible plots, and extensive character development. In fact, there are usually many characters, and I sometimes forget who does what, and which organization they work for! Sometimes I worry that I won’t be able to follow the plot because of the many characters, but Ryan always gets the job done plot-wise, even when I might be a bit lost for a while. Stick with any of these books - you’ll be glad you did!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2024This is an outstanding book that I didn't want to put down for anything, even to go to sleep . I am looking forward to your next book in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2025This was another intense and suspenseful story with many unexpected and surprising twists that will capture you until the very end. Not a series to be missed.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and author.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2021The Delphi Technique, book 12 in the Rex Dalton Thriller Series, is another unstoppable, rollercoaster thrill ride from start to finish. As this runaway freight train, each book in the series being a car, approaches its energy absorbing buffer stop, the careful reader will discover that Ryan uses stock exposition to work in the backstory. Only two more stops, two more books to go. He uses the same text, word for word, in each new book, but he slips it in so smoothly that the average reader will never notice. It sort of reminds me of how the early TV comedy shows made use of canned laughter. The same exposition over and over, but it worked great. I wouldn’t have caught it if I wasn’t a very experienced beta reader.
The Delphi Techniques begin with Rex and Catia vacationing on Rhoades Island, Greece. They witness the assassination of a CIA operative and his contact by a female assassin, who commits suicide when Rex attempts to capture her. Based on the information contained on the flash drive Catia recovers from the dead contact as he laid dying in her arms, and from the two smart phones that Rex took off their dead bodies, they find themselves in another race against time to stop a madman set on murdering countless innocent people. In The Delphi Techniques, like with all the Rex Dalton thrillers, Ryan includes so much real historical facts that it’s hard for the reader to tell where history ends and fiction begins.
While Rex and his team is racing the clock, trying to find and take down the madman who is killing and maiming hundreds of innocent men, women, and children, he is forced to take command of the CRC when John Brandt, “The Old Man” has to have brain surgery for a benign tumor. As you may recall from the last book, Brandt has been after Rex to take over as the CRC CEO/Director, but Rex has been putting off making that decision. Now he has no choice.
All the Rex Dalton Thrillers have more plot twist than a sidewinders path in the desert sands, but this one more than most, right up to the very end. The way this book ends, the way Rex and his team take down the madman mastermind, will blow your mind. The Delphi Techniques have the most explosive ending of all the Dalton books so far. Will Ryan provide us with an even more thrilling ride in Holes In The Wall, Book 12 in the Rex Dalton Thriller Series. I know the answer to that question because this is the third time I have read the series. Keep reading to find out. You will be glad you did.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2021Could have been a good adventure but got bogged down on detail about background of various agencies and such. Enjoyed previous books that relied upon the story and characters to cary the plot.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021To say that Author JC Ryan is a spellbinding writer would be an accurate but inadequate statement. As I read this book I was again awed of his ability to engross me so completely so as to lose track of time, commitments and responsibilities. I would stop my reading by citing the need to __________ (fill in a task) and barely take a step away only to return immediately to read some more! That demonstrates really good writing, at least to me. And don't even get me started on the subject matter. I was engrossed! Even when Mr. Ryan penned his disclaimer at the end of the book I was ready and hoping for more to the story. If you imagine that someone could set up the circumstance that could change the course of world history then have a small cohort of very savvy and committed individuals who could stop said coup, you'd be read that, wouldn't you? If so, read this book!
