Destiny 1: Life Choices: From the Evei Lattimore Collection Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 293 ratings

Award winning Author Blue Saffire presents from her Evei Lattimore Collection
Destiny 1: Life Choices Book 1 in Destiny the Series
My Name is Taliyah. I was young and foolish with a crush. I didn’t know that the one night I decided to take things into my own hands, would change the course of my life forever. I knew what I wanted, I wanted Alex, but somehow, I ended up with Victor’s attention instead.
Little did I know I would fall in love with them both. Things weren’t as simple as they seemed anymore. My series of poor choices led me into Victor’s arms and that was where thought I planned to stay.
I had to make a final choice, and I did. However, the Universe stepped in to make my ultimate choice for me. They say you only live once, but does that mean you have to love the same way?

*This is Book 1 in the Destiny series from the bestselling, award-winning author Blue Saffire. This Book is from the Evei Collection. Okay this had me in tears, I don’t know if that was a good thing or bad thing. I mean I was enjoying the story, then I was like wow after a while you really know who your true friends are. Haters did truly hate big time. Then came the crying, I can’t even watch Tinker-Bell The Neverbeast without crying, or The Iron Giant both of those are cartoons, that says a lot. But this was an excellent read.

    ***Contains Spoilers ***

This was really good - almost 5 stars. It might not be popular, but I loved Victor and Tali together. I knew that the only way Tali would turn from him to Alex was if Victor was out of the picture, so I wasn't surprised by that. I thought Victor's exit was very well written. I cried at the sadness and wastefulness of it. My heart broke for him, because he was so close to getting everything that he wanted. Tali was immature, but she was young. So were Victor and Alex. Allowances needed to be made. The reason I gave 4 stars was because of the idea that Tali and Victor should not have been together and that Alex was Tali's destiny. I disagree with the author there. I was disappointed by Tali feeling like being with Alex was better. I would have preferred her to feel like it was just different. I think Victor deserved more than to be seen as a mistake. Maybe I'm wrong and just in my feelings - but that's how the ending felt to me. She even made it sound like the sex was better with Alex - but I didn't feel any heat between Tali and Alex. (BTW, Seriously, did we need that crack about Alex not needing Tali to scream his name for everyone to hear?) I thought their relationship was tepid compared to Tali and Victor. Maybe it was because of the lack of build up. By far, most of the book is about Victor. He loomed large, even though he was working most of the time and Tali and Alex were together a lot. Then he's gone and it seems like Tali and Alex wait a while and then everything just falls into place for them and him being gone makes their lives easier. As a Victor fan, that hurt. Also, I would have liked for Tali's mom to have at least appreciated how Victor took care of Tali when she cut Tali off. Victor wasn't a bad man. He loved his family and was generous. Tali was the one time he wasn't selfless. He deserved the happiness he found with Tali. And his memory deserved more respect. Love can come more than once without canceling each other out. I wanted Tali to have enough for them both, even after Victor was gone. That would have been 5 stars.

I read the reviews before reading this book and glad I still read the book. I have read mostly all this authors book and this one didn’t disappoint. I was sad about Victor but he knew his brother was in love with her first. I felt bad Alex had to sacrifice his love for his brother happiness.

This book was everything. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I loved this story. This book is about Tali, Victor and Alex. Tali and Alex have a thing for each other, but one lie led to Tali and Victor becoming a couple. Victor, who is the head of a gang, wants Tali the moment he sees her and won’t let anything get in his way. He and Tali have very emotional relationship filled with drama and passion. Despite their relationship, Alex, who is Victor’s best friend stands by and supports their relationship despite loving Tali. Just as Victor, Tali and Alex are all ready to move on with their lives, the worse happens. I was not ready for that curveball. Blue Saffire had me in tears, but the story isn’t over. When something is destiny, nothing can stop it.

As usual, Blue never disappoint....at the beginning I couldn't get captivated, it was kind of,well.... Not all that, but ,since I read all her books I was hopeful and I went to read some of the reviews... And when I reached 50 % things changed...
I fall in love with Victor and Tali... I cried for Victor, and the way he truly loved Tali and Tali to fall in love with him even though her heart still partly belongs to Alex... To love 2 men with such intensity and never betrayed one or the other... I'm glad, Victor and Alex were true brothers, it makes the loss of Victor less painful and manageable...
It is a beautiful story of love ,trial and happiness at the end.
    Ok, I'm ready for #2!!

I love Victor, Tali, Alex, Juan, Sisquo, all of them! I am not ready to let Victor go. I'm not ready to let their story go! I read the second book then cam back and read this one again. I'm just wondering, where is the third? What happens in Alex story? I've looked all over for it and can't find it. It's like we're on a cliffhanger. But the love Victor and Talk had for one another is incomprehensible. The way she taught him to love her and their open communication is a dream because it's surely not reality. Especially for such young kids. However, I'm glad they had each other even if for a brief period and I'm glad Alex had her and she him in the end. Great job!... Now that third book??

I liked this book. It was fast and when I say fast I’m talking bout their love. It all happed fast. It felt really rush. I hated that Alex and victor are brothers. It all seems so wrong. Victor gave his blessings but I feel like he deserved so much more. I even felt like Juan deserved more as well.

I cried when Victor died in this love story. I am glad the two characters Alex and Tali got together in the end. Love is a complicated emotion when dealing with two people at the same time. Mistakes are made but it's better to love than not at all. Good read, kept up the good work and roll on part two.
