Diving In Kindle Edition
Morgan has finally had enough success as an author to pursue writing full time. She goes to Bonaire to write, but mostly ends up diving while gripped with a case of, well, not exactly writer’s block, but perhaps writer’s trickle. Words are coming, just slowly and painfully. When a mom and son move into the rental across the yard from her, at first she thinks it will make things worse. And, in terms of writing, it does, at least for a while. But getting to know Ash and Jake is definitely worth it.
Ash and her ten-year-old son, Jake, have been through a rough couple of years. When a windfall comes her way, Ash decides that they need a reset, and she takes Jake on the diving trip he’s always wanted. The across-the-yard neighbor is entirely too attractive, friendly, and competent, making Ash feel bumbling in comparison. But the more she gets to know Morgan, the less she wants to keep her distance.
As Ash and Morgan dive together, spend time in their shared yard, and bond over being Jake fans, the vacation fling starts to seem like more.

About the author

Sage's books are of the feel-good variety and are designed to be engaging, fun, easy reads where the drama is low and the romance is real.
She is a not-too-serious hiker, a voracious reader, a lover of games (board, not video), and an enjoyer of a good water-based activity on a hot day. Although her beloved dog only agrees with the first two activities.
Sage lives in Portland, Oregon.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2021the 3 main characters, Ash, Morgan and Jake really made the book come to life. The writer really made Morgan’s character appear to have patience beyond description as Jake seemed to be a child with hyper active tendencies. Ash was described as a beautiful strong and sexual woman that her character appealed to Morgan. The fact that a child came with the package was something that was a welcomed surprise to Morgan, one that she accepted with open arms. This was a very warm and healthy reading experience and showed the reader that you never know what is around the corner waiting for you both. The writer merged two different lives into one smoothly and without little drama and a whole lot of loving. great book.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2021I felt the storyline of the book was a bit unrealistic overall. For example, how quickly the two women began saying "I love you" to each other - 2 weeks after meeting? Jake seemed to bounce from being 8 years old intellectually to late teens in his dialogue. It was colorfully written with the location of Bonaire being interesting. Overall a sweet story with a HEA ending. An ok read, just not engaging and with little angst.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2023Another very enjoyable read from Sage Donnell. I'd love to check in with this family again sometime.
If you happen to see this and haven't read any of the other books there is a cameo in this from Puppy Love so you might want to read it first.
Love these low angst, slice of life type romances.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2022What a fantastic story and I loved the characters and the setting for the book. Loved all of the diving. I have only snorkeled in Key West and it was amazing. I can only imaging what it would be like to dive and see all of the underwater life. I enjoyed Jake - he had so much energy. Thanks
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2022Bonaire, diving and love? What could be better! This is an easy read that lovingly draws you in. I so enjoyed this style of writing. This is my first read of Sage Donnells work and it certainly won’t be the last. Give it a read, I am so glad I did.

A constant vacation, what a good life. You gotta read this!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2022Aside from the fact that the book was barely believable I did not appreciate the obnoxious comments about Rowling. Most of the lesbian community that actually understands and knows the story of Rowling knows Rowling is not transphobic. Not wanting to sexualize kids and transition them at 9 years old doesn't make you transphobic. I will not recommend nor bother with any of the authors books in the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good
A beautiful story that was a page turner from the start. The characters were so real and the locations. Would have loved the ending to be the actual wedding to finish this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great trip
Before I read this book I had no idea where Bonaire is or rather that it even exists. But wow after reading this book I would love to visit because it sounded so amazing. I also have never read so much about diving but also loved this part.
And then of course there is the sweet story about Morgan the author and Ash the one with the 10 years old son. Compared to Morgan Ash feels as being less accomplished and just small. So at first she isn‘t very friendly to Morgan. But having a kid around that started to bond with Morgan right away makes it difficult for her to not liking her too.
Morgan on the other hand was never really into being in a relationship or it was probably more never having met the right person. Things definitely change for both or rather the three of them and there even shows up a solution for Morgan‘s writers block. One that definitely no one expected.
When you look at the timeframe of the story it seems like everything happens very fast. But I actually never felt like it was rushed in any way. I loved how they talked about their past, future and how to make it work together (always including Jake who I totally adored). Time even seemed to stand still in some moments. I totally enjoyed that and just the whole story.
Highly recommend going on this trip with these three wonderful characters. 😍

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read
I have never read anything from this author before. I did quite enjoy it. The storyline was good. I would have liked to learn more about how they afforded to be on holiday for so long as the book really didn't depict either of the two female leads being excessively wealthy. Other than that, I liked the diving aspect of the story and completely loved the 10yr old. Well worth a read if you like an easy happy ending love story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not realistic
I just found the book a bit fluffy and the two snide remarks about JK Rowling didn't help, won't bother with any more of this author's books.
